Picture on th side-------> this could be a scene of the battle
Hot fire pelts down on us. The whole sky is fulfilled by a red light. Everywhere where the flames hit the ground, a thousand sparks rain down on us. Around myself I hear the shouts of the wounded and the dying but there is nothing I can do about it to prevent.
On the battlefield everybody is put on oneself alone. Today I already saw many courageous men fall, as the fire transforms them in strolling torches. May the gods bless them.
But I must undertake something, otherwise they all will die. Long enough I have stood on the edge and hesitated. I have looked out for all the injured persons, widows and orphans. It's about time I reach to the weapon to avoid other losses. I look at my dagger that's as long as my ulna.
But what can I achieve, a woman hardly more than a girl, with just a dagger? Run in the opposing rows and slash wildly around me? Hardly. I would be faster dead than I can say my own name. Thoughtfully I look at the edge which reflects the hot red flames. There must be something I can do.
My feet move by itself on and on onto the battlefield. Unknowingly I suddenly stand among the fighting and see one of our soldiers is beheaded by his opponent. Fight noise and blood everywhere around me. My eyes widen in panic as I becomes conscious to where I am and what I have just seen there.
But to me no time remains further about that to think, because suddenly I envisage one of the fireballs aimed directly on my head. Full of fear I tear open my eyes as I note as the glowing flame gets closer. Something within me wants to break free. But as I already feel the glow burn on my skin all becomes dark.
