Picture on the side -----> Sir Edward of Trauheim alias Ed ^^
After he cleaned his sword with the clothing of the slain bandit, he turns to me and bowes slightly before me. >>, My name is Sir Edward of Trauheim. I am the commander of the royal forces of his highness. And who you are my dear? <<
I make a small knicks and answer >> Very pleased Sir Edward ... << >> For you just Ed. << >> ... My Name is not of importance to you. I'm just a little light in the night sky. Not worthy of youre attention. <<
>>No no my love. Let's just leave this courtly banter and get down to business. You can call me Ed. So what wanted these ... well let's say "thugs" from you? <<
I feel a lot better when he suggested to leave the polite conversation aside. That just does not fit me well. >>I think they wanted to steal my goods, but since I do not own anything of great value they thought they want to sold me instead. <<
At the last sentence Ed pinches his eyes angrily. >>Sell you? They grow bolder. I must confess this to his Majesty, so we can finally order soldiers. If I had not accidentally come over here, who knows how this story would have ended. <<
I can only agree with him. >>Thank you, for saving me. I really was rescued at the last second. <<
He grins at me and says >>It didn't look like that to me. You are not an ordinary young woman. Who has taught you to fight? <<
I wonder if I should tell him about Jon, because he might know him, but decide against it. In the end Thissos is huge and I do not know if Jon could be in trouble.
>>A few boys at the village and a friend from the capital have taught me. They said a candidate could pester me. And of course, for such cases as before. << He is satisfied with my answer.
He plugged his mighty sword into it's sheath and goes in the direction of the forest. >> I let my horse stand further in so that the bandits were not attentive to me. <<
While he gets his stuff, I also wipe my dagger on the clothing of the dead clean and put it back in my boots. Furtunatly my dress was not dirty with blood, but I fear my hair looks like I ran in a storm.
I head back shaking my head to Lilien and the car to check if she is healthy and awake. She seems good to go except a light shock from the earlier terror.
Ed comes out of the forest with his chestnut mare and climbs on. I do it like him and guide the wagon to him. >> I was thinking that I'll go with you the rest of the way, so something like this does not happen again. <<
I nod for approval, because I have no desire for another unpleasant encounter.
The rest of the way Ed tells me stories of his childhood and what pranks he has played with his best friend, the Prince. As in one of his stories a major role played honey and feathers, I would laugh so hard that I almost fall out of the carriage. The trip was uneventful and just before the gate closure at nightfall we arrived.
The gate guards wanted to reject letting us in at first, but when they heard Ed's name, they let us pass.
>>Good I was with you.<< Ed smirks. >>Which hostel do you want to stay? I'll take you there. << >> My father always enters the same. "To the plow horse" I was never there. Do you know where I find it? << >> Course. If the lady wants to follow me. <<
