Ninth smiled insanely as she drove.
"Finally, I have found you! Now I can win this game with someone who already has god-like powers!" She said.
She rambled for a few minutes, laughing insanely the entire time.
"I never agreed to this!" I shouted at her.
She glared at me and pulled out a gun. She held it to my head.
"You will do as I say, or I'll blow your brains out!"
It occurred to me that even at this point, my [Diary] still didn't work. I had no idea what to do. I had only survived my last encounter through sheer luck.
"Then shoot me, but remember that you'll be upsetting a god." I said.
Her arm shook a little. She seemed to recall that Second was also a god. She eventually removed the gun from my head.
"You win this time Twelfth, but I'll-" She started, but was interrupted by another vehicle ramming into us.
It was a head on collision. The second vehicle rammed us, shattering both of our windshields. I ducked down to avoid the flying glass.
Ninth got out of the vehicle. Her [Diary] changed and she looked at it. Her eyes went wide with fear. She turned to run, but was gunned down immediately. Her body fell to the ground in a pool of blood.
Third stepped out of the other vehicle.
"Twelfth, come with me!" She shouted.
I had no idea if I could trust her, but trusting her was better than staying at this murder scene.
I hopped into her car and she drove off. A few miles down, I decided to talk.
"Are you even old enough to drive?" I asked.
She nodded.
"Yep, I'm sixteen, and I have a driver's license."
I sighed.
"Ok, why are you helping me?"
"Because you need to get home to your world." She answered.
"Why do you even care?" I asked.
"Because, if you and your friends go back, then that's less competition here." She answered as if it was obvious.
"That makes sense." I replied. "But wouldn't it be easier for you to just kill us?"
"It would, but I think your world may need you." She said. "And I think I would appreciate myself in the other world."
We were both silent for a minute.
"Can you take me to my friends?" I asked.
She nodded and made a U-Turn. She sped towards town. I showed her to our base.
"Just drop me off outside." I stated. "We don't want Second knowing I showed you our base."
Third nodded and let me out.
"See you around, Twelfth." She said as she sped off.
I opened the door to the base and I walked inside.
"I'm back!" I yelled.
Suddenly, Tohka and Mina ran up and began hugging me.
"Brother, I missed you!" Tohka exclaimed.
Mikata stood to the side, smirking.
"I knew you'd come back." She said.
It seemed like everything was going to be ok.
For now...
