Chapter 14: Rebirth

We were home. Finally.

But something was wrong, very wrong. Murumuru sat on our throne.

"Oh, you two made it back." She said, sounding not surprised.

"Yeah, and I see you've made yourself at home!" I yelled.

Murumuru chuckled.

"Of course, someone needed to keep things in order while you were gone."

"Well, we're back, so get off the throne and give us our powers back!" Mikata demanded.

"I don't think you're in any position to make demands." Murumuru stated.

"Y-you little troll!" Mikata shouted in anger.

Murumuru giggled evilly.

"I have an idea! Instead of being gods, you two can be my little pets!"

We both glared at Murumuru. Mina and Tohka were standing behind us, unsure of what to do.

"Murumuru, why are you doing this?" i asked.

"I'm sick and tired of being nothing more than an errand girl for you gods!" Murumuru yelled. "First it was Deus Ex Machina! After that, Yuno and Yuki! Then you two! I'm sick of it!"

She clenched her fists angrily and stood.

"I had to get rid of you two! I wanted my freedom!"

Murumuru had the right to be angry. Heck, I would probably do the same if I were in her position. However, I wasn't in her position, so to me she was a threat that needed eliminated.

I'm not a good person. At this point, I was angry. Murumuru had crossed the line, and I was going to make her pay for it.

"Alright Murumuru, tell me something." I said.

"What are you doing?" Mikata whispered.

"Stalling." I whispered back.

I was stalling. The reason? The moment we had returned I had noticed that our powers were returning slowly. If my guess was right, then I would be at at least half power in a few moments. That was more than enough to fight Murumuru.

"What is it Deus?" Murumuru replied.

"What is it that you want out of being a god?" I asked.

"Power!" She said.

It was just a few more moments until I had enough of my powers back.

"And revenge as well?" I asked.

"Of course!" Murumuru replied.

"But think about this!" I said.

"Think about what?" Murumuru asked.

"The moment we returned, our power has been recharging." I stated.

Her eyes went wide. She suddenly realized the situation she was in.

I felt enough power come into me now. My dark cloak returned and I began to levitate. I approached Murumuru.

"D-Deus! Please don't kill me!" She begged.

I smirked and grabbed her by the collar of her cloak.

"I'm not going to kill you. I'm just going to take away your power." I stated.

I pulled all of Murumuru's power from her body. I set Murumuru on the ground and then turned to Mina and Tohka.

"Mina, Tohka, do you want to stay in this place with us?" I asked.

They both nodded.

I then gave them each a half of Murumuru's power. Dark cloaks appeared on them as well. I turned to Mikata, and her power had returned as well. She levitated to me.

"Good thinking Deus." She said.

I blushed lightly.

"T-thanks."

She giggled at me. She then looked at Murumuru.

"Murumuru, you have one last chance. You can have your power back, but you have to follow our rules." Mikata stated.

Murumuru nodded quickly.

"Good. Here you go. Now be a good little troll." Mikata said as she returned Murumuru's power to her.

Mikata and I returned to our thrones. Everything seemed to be normal again. However, now we had Mina and Tohka with us.

It was exactly what I wanted.
