What could I say? I was still in love with the guy who captured my heart in the beginning and still failed to return it. So here I sat nine mouths after our break up and yet my heart was still a hostage to his love. And so as I sat cuddled up alone on the couch watching Vampire Diaries on Netflix, I couldn't help but think of the quote that I once came across. For days since Liam stayed in London and I flew back to America I've been sitting on this couch watching Netflix, eating myself to oblivion. I was no longer six months pregnant and showing, but that didn't mean I didn't get pregnant again during my trip to the UK. People were probably thinking I did just that.

Since returning from the UK, I have neglected my studies and the outside world. I feel like I was getting cheated on all over again but instead of getting another boyfriend right after it happened, I was reacting like any normal person. As soon as I bury myself under my comforter and shut my eyes, Toni comes barging in the room.

"Eva Marie, get your ass up!" Toni yells.

"Middle name, ouch." A second voice echoes.

I sit upright quickly and find an all to familiar guy leaning against our doorway. He smirks at me when the cover falls, revealing my black lace bra. I roll my eyes and lean over to grab a long sleeve top. Justin, my hot bartender friend continues to smirk at me from the doorway.

"Man, who even let you in our country?" I ask, smirking back.

"Oh, you've been here for what five months at the most and it's suddenly your country?" Justin asks.

"Everyplace I enter, I own."

After a few moments of just smirking at each other, I walk to him and envelope him in a giant hug. He smells of old spice and airplane food, which is a weird combination. I pull away first and move to the closet to switch my sweats for a pair of skinny jeans. When I reemerge Justin holds my bag and Toni holds her own. I lift an eyebrow at them as Toni shoves a pair of converse in my arms. I oblige, moving over to the nightstand for some socks.

"Where are we going?" I ask when I stand up again.

"To lunch, which is my treat..." Justin comments.

"Then to the library so you can catch up on your studies." Toni says making a face at me.

I roll my eyes and let out a sigh as I follow them out the room. Maybe if I turn down a different corner I can get out of this studying date because I'm not for it. It was stupid but sweet that they worried at all and was paying for lunch. I sit quietly in the passenger seat as Justin taps his fingers against the wheel. The cool breeze seeping in from the opened window hits my face, pushing back my hair and makes me smile. Toni hums to the radio in the backseat and texts on her phone.

"Where are we going?" I ask.

"You'll see." Justin answers.

I huff at his response and slouch down in my seat. I'm surrounded by silence for Toni stops her humming and Justin hasn't tapped on the steering wheel for at least thirty seconds. I pull my eyes off my hands in my lap and look up only to find us parked in front of the one and only La nourriture de Chanel. I roll my eyes seeing that it's Justin's mom's restaurant, the fanciest place in all America and probably the reason we're eating here. Toni hops out the car first leaving us and so I shrink farther into my seat. Justin unbuckles his seat belt and comes around to my side of the car.

"I can walk on my own." I pull my arm away from Justin's.

"What ever you say, princess." Justin replies.
