My Rain

My thoughts they flow

Like the river

Some crash into rocks and disappear

Some come with me forever

Where they go is a wonder

And if they'll come back is another

When is the end of it,

Will it leave forever?

The whispering trees

They tell me things

Things I thought I had forgotten

And so it rains

And the rain nourishes the trees

Lets the trees speak more

They reveal the things

I had never known before

The rain it flows into the river

And once again it flows

Where the river shall take it

Is a place nobody goes

And the river

It could end up

In a field of flowers

Where the flowers use the rain

To bring upon happiness instead

And fill the river with petals

Or the river

It could end up

In an industrial lake

Where the oil kills the fish

And the rain is forever masked

In the black of the world
