A bright light flashed with the intensity of the Sun's light. Several of the Naga's crumbled and turned to ash as the light reached them. Others ran away. Some wailed and screeched as the light over ridded their senses. Only the shaman appeared unaffected. She frowned and stretched out her hand. Blue light swirled slowly around it. It sped up and began to whir. Chase popped out of the crate next to me and shot a fast arrow. It missed her barely, but it distracted her enough to miss us. The blue beam streaked by us and hit the tent wall. Blue tentacles of fire spread out and rapidly dissolved the walls. Soon there was nothing left of the tent walls. My friends jumped out of their hiding spots and started to battle the other Naga's. I turned to Chase.

"Go. Help them. I can handle the shaman." I told him. My voice didn't sound like my own. It sounded......like the Voice? He grabbed the arrow he showed me earlier. He handed it to me.

"Here. This will help." He said. I pushed it away.

"No. You need it more. Go!" I said. I pushed him towards the battle. I turned to the shaman. She was completely wreathed in ghostly blue light. I floated up. I held out my hands. Two pure, white swords appeared in my hands. The shaman shot a blue bolt at me. I swerved around the bolt. I swooped down and swung my swords at her. It chopped off her right arm. She screeched as I flew back into the sky to see what happened next. I turned to see how my friends were doing. Kendra was in the river swirling the water around. A tentacle wrapped around one Naga and threw it twenty feet in the air. Chase was perched in a tree shooting arrows at the Naga's eyes and other weak spots. Faolan was tearing the snake people apart. Half morphed; he was a tornado of destruction. Tearing the throats out of the snakes, he snarled. His eyes turned pure gold. His claws sliced the scales like they were butter. I turned back to the shaman. Her arm was back. Wait, now she had an extra arm. All three arms were cloaked in blue light. Three bolts shot at me. I shot light at them and dodged the third one. The sun had almost set below the horizon. I ducked as more shots came towards me. One clipped my wing. It spread across the light and made it disappear like acid. I dropped to the ground as I made the wings disappear. The blue light went with it. I brandished my swords. The shaman hissed. I stepped forward and sliced at her chest. She slithered back. A bolt of blue shot at me. I raised my sword in defense. The bolt deflected off the swords and hit the tree Chase was in. He jumped out as the tree disappeared. Naga's were swarming him now. He was losing ground. The sun sank below the edge of the horizon. The moon peeked over the treetops. I shot a huge bolt of light at the shaman. She screamed as it blinded her momentarily. I turned towards Chase. He stumbled. I shot several bolts towards those Naga's. They screeched and Chase ran over to me. Faolan ran towards me also. His eyes were burning bright. His teeth were covered with blood as well as his claws. He panted heavily. Kendra screamed over in the water. The Naga's had grabbed her. She made a pushing motion with her free had. A spout of water hit the Naga's full force. It shot them several feet away. She ran over to us.

"This is it, huh?" She said. "We are going to die fighting."

"No." I said. "We will win. We have to." Chase nodded. Faolan didn't move. The shaman turned to us. She slithered forward. Other Naga's surrounded us. The shaman laughed.

"Any last words, humans?" The way she said humans made it sound like an insult. I was about to say something when another voice answered for me.

"This won't be their last words. Those were yours." A female voice said.
