Chapter 30
All hell broke loose. Kendra and Lizzy rushed at Aiden. Valla, Luna, and Jason rushed at the Werehunter. Ash and myself rushed at The Raven. All the others began to fight the army of creatures behind us.
Ash took to the air as the roof was ripped off the temple. A giant black dragon opened its maw as a giant green dragon knocked it off of the temple. Valla. Ash quickly began to distract The Raven as I created balls of light all around the temple, evening the odds a little. I heard screeches and growls as the creatures became disoriented. I looked back to Ash and saw The Raven clip his wing with the sword. Black flames began to lick his other feathers as he screamed. I quickly extended my hand and the flames became a single ball. They flew into my hand and I launched them at the Werehunter. Why hit The Raven or Aiden, who both can resist the flames? Besides, it was only Luna and Jason fighting someone that could mortally wound the Werecreatures. He burst into dark flames as I noticed why an anguished wail arose. His spear had pierced Luna's white robes, and blood was streaming down them. Jason yowled in panther form and used his giant paws to rip the Werehunter's throat out. Jason got a crazed look in his eyes, and then began to morph. His form tripled in size and he grew another giant head. Wings flapped on his back and he roared loud enough to send a rumble through the temple. He took to the air, whipping a now-spiked tail through a dozen enemies. Another two-part roar and a black acid flew out of his mouths. The acid his dozens of enemies and they dissolved.
"What is he?!?" I yelled to no one in particular, shooting a bolt of light towards The Raven's direction. I heard him grunt and then a loud thud followed. Chase appeared by my side.
"He transformed into a Bastet, the most powerful cat form." He said, awed.
"Why didn't he do this before?" I asked, watching as a giant dog leaped onto him, ripping his wings to shreds. They quickly landed, got up, and began to circle.
"He could only do it out of anguish, because Luna was the last Moon Maiden." Chase's eyes suddenly lost their light, and he gasped. I looked down and noticed a black sword sticking out. Black flames began to consume him within seconds, and then he was gone. Pain struck through me. Chase and I had a rocky relationship, but he was still a close friend. I slowly turned to The Raven, letting the emotions flood through me.
'Let me take over.' The Voice said.
'No.' I said, a dangerous tone in my voice. 'He will die.' I thought, before it happened.
As Lizzy rushed at Aiden, Kendra realized that she felt utterly betrayed. Lizzy was launching balls of golden fire while Kendra flicked water at his flames. As she created a small whirlpool in the air around him, a dragon ripped off the roof. A green dragon mysteriously appeared and knocked the black one off the mountainside. The whirlpool began to suck the flames away, taking his oxygen with it. He dropped his sword, and began clawing at his throat. A giant ogre smacked through the others and knocked Lizzy away. An anguished wail arose, and Luna's robes turn crimson. Kendra dropped her hands. Luna had turned out to be a good person, despite everything that had happened between the Water Tribe and the Moon Maidens. The ogre grabbed Kendra around her waist, covering half of her body and squeezing the air out of her. She couldn't call for help. Aiden walked up, still gasping lightly. He dragged his sword with him. As he walked up, he smirked.
"Who will save you now?" He taunted. Then, it happened, as Kendra felt cold steel pierce her chest. Everything began to turn black.
'Pain....' Faolan thought. The moon was out, and a battle was happening. He couldn't help, otherwise he would destroy his friends too. He could feel the moon stroke his skin, leaving small bits of fur in its wake. He quickly turned it back to skin, but that was all he could do. He heard battle flashing all around, and he knew what he had to do. He opened his eyes, taking in all the horror. It was now or never. He crawled over to the stone arch, not 5 feet away. As he reached it, he let a single claw extend. He ran the razor sharp claw across his opposing thumb. A few drops of crimson ran down before the wound closed. As they hit the floor, the portal came to life. Faolan crawled through, and got sucked through to the cold stone floor on the other side. A girl, 17, with long blond hair, quickly ran up to me. The sun shone bright down on my, stilling the transformation.
