I sit in the corner of the room. I can't tell how long I have been in this room. It could be days, months, or even years. I don't even care how long I have been in here. All I care about are the people outside of these walls. People like: Kyle and my parents. I am sure that they are so worried about me. What if they think I am dead? Oh, no! What if they do? I can't just go back home, not after what they did to me. Can I?I lost my train of thought when I heard yelling coming from outside my door. I could hear people running through the halls. What is going on? "We should have known that they would come to get her! Don't let them get to her!" Someone yelled to the guard who was watching me. Who is coming to get me and why? What is going on? All I could do was listen as people ran and yelled. I heard gun shots and the yelling of the guard watching my cell. I stood up slowly and walked to the door. "Move away from the door, please." A strange voice said from the other side of the door. I did as the voice asked. There was a loud thud and the door fell to the ground. I squint my eyes as bright lights fill in this dark room for the first time in who knows how long. A dark figure moved into my room. It was a man. He stepped close to me. He looked like he was about my age, I can't really tell since it is still kind of dark. "Come with us, please." The man said as he extended his hand out to me. I looked at it with hesitation. Millions of horrible thoughts ran through my mind, but honestly what could be worse than what has happened already. I put my hand in his. We take off running. I look at all the guard on the floor. I feel a pang of hurt in my stomach. These guards didn't do anything to deserve this. They were just doing their job. I see the doors approaching. I get excited as we burst out the front doors. I breathe in my first breath of fresh air. I spin around in a circle with my arms out. The ground was warm under my bare feet. The sky was black with twinkling stars in it. I smiled at how beautiful it was. I stopped spinning and was facing the guy who got me out. He was smiling at me. "Well, I do believe I owe you a thank you." I said. He stepped closer to me and I could see his face clearly now. He was a little pale. His eyes were a beautiful green color. He had perfect jaw line. His hair was a dark brown. He nodded at me with his smirk. "You are welcome, my queen." He said. I shook my head. "Queen?" I ask. He nodded. "Yes. I will explain it all to you when we get you somewhere safer. What is your name?" he asked me. "My name is....." I could tell that he was searching my face for the answer I wasn't giving. "You can change your name. You get to remake yourself." He said. Remake myself? "My name is Emery." I say. He gives me a slight nod. "I am Logan." He said. "It is nice to meet you." I said. "As you. I must get you out of here now." He said. I nodded and followed him. We get into a black SUV and drive off. I have a hundred questions running through me head, but I just sit in silence.
What seemed like hours later we arrived at a house. No, not a house. More like a mansion. It was White with a red door. It has roses blooming in the flower beds. There were two weeping willow trees in front of the house. I opened the car door and walked under one of the weeping willows. My bare feet touched the soft warm grass as I tangled my body in the long branches of the tree. You never really realize how much you miss nature until it is ripped away from you. I saw a figure walking up to the tree. He told me that I must go inside now. Saddened by the fact that I again had to leave the beauty of the out doors behind, i did as he said. Inside the mansion was just a beautiful as it was outside. There was a grand stair case when you first walk in, and the decor was modern mixed with vintage. They had it in a way that it went perfectly and it didn't clash with one another. I jumped as I felt someone touch the middle of my back. "Let's get you cleaned up. Shall we?" Logan said. I nodded and followed him up the stairs.
He took me into a room that was perfect. It was painted gray and the decor was just beautiful. "There is a bathroom through that door and there should be some clothes for you in the closet. I think they should be your size. Come down stairs when you are done." Logan said. I nodded and watched him walk out of the room. I walked into the bathroom, trying the best that I could to avoid the mirror. I started the water. I got into the shower and sighed in relief. I don't even remember the last time I took a shower. I stayed in there savoring every last drop of hot water there was. When the water grew cold i got out. I saw a figure in the mirror. She was hard to see, but I knew she was me. I wasn't ready to see what they had turned me into yet so I walked out. I found some clothes in my size. I put on a white v- neck t-shirt, ripped jeans, and white converse. I put my hair up in a messy bun did slight amount of make-up and headed down the stairs. I saw Logan waiting for me at the bottom. "Okay, I'm ready for you to tell me what is going on." I said. He nodded and walked me into another room.
