The Secondary Wheel

Chapter 13

Gemini POV:

'You have a destiny to fulfill! And I can't let that happen!'

Destiny.... Can't let it happen... Dang Bill you're confusing.

I sat next to Viola's hospital bed, the only sounds being the steady beat of the heart monitor and her breaths being the only sounds. I took the time to over think the things that have happened that might have led to Viola falling into a coma.

Why did I even come to this camp in the first place again? I should have just stayed at home and done my summer plans- oh wait. That's right.

Flashback sequence

Gemini, Ajax, and various other kids ran out of the school. "ITS SUMMER!" Ajax screamed when he got on the bus, various cheer coming from all the other kids. Gemini just chuckled at his silliness.

The two neighbors walked into the back of the bus, next to their other friends by the names of Nick and Caitlyn. "What are You two planning to do this summer?" Caitlyn asked.

"Not going to camp Greyson, that's for sure!" Ajax laughed, "Gemini and I hid all those flyers!"

"Niiiiiccee." Nick fist bumped Ajax. Yep. Just another normal day on the bus.

-time skip-

Gemini opened the door of the Strings residence, only to be almost hit in the head by a frying pan, that thankfully hit the wall.
"[Bad word] Leo! You missed me and almost hit Gemini!" She could hear her older brother, Capricorn, yell.
"Well I apologize, mister Capricorn!" Gemini's other older brother, Leo, yelled back, "But maybe if you weren't such a female dog, I wouldn't have thrown the pan in the first place!"
The yelling continued, and Gemini just laughed and walked into the living room, looking under the coffee table to see her two younger brothers, Aries and Libra, shaking. "Gemini! You're home!" Aries yelled-whispered.
"What's wrong with them?" Gemini used her thumb to point at the two arguing older brothers.
"Leo burned another bowl of cereal, and that really peeved Capricorn off for some reason." Libra responded. Gemini gave a light hearted chuckle. Yep, just a normal day at home.
-cue anther timeskip-
"So, mom and dad are going to be gone for half the summer again?" Gemini asked Capricorn, using her chopsticks to get some chicken out of the Chinese takeout container.
"Correct." Capricorn nodded, "And Leo and I don't want to take care of you and your brothers again for a whole summer." Gemini's face dropped dead.
"Soooo...." Leo drum rolled on the table, "Your going to Camp Greyson with Ajax!"
"Yay!" Libra and Aries cheered in unison.
"You guys suck." Gemini grumbled.
~Flash back over~
I chuckled at the memory, flipping through journal four. I flipped one more page, finding my answer to the little coma problem; make a deal with cipher. I read the page as if it was another book in the spiderwick series (From which I LOVE to read.), seeing no flaws in a plan what so ever. Well, there was one. Written in red ink was, 'DO NOT SUMMON AT ALL COSTS'. Guess I should get a second opinion.
Walking up to a wall phone, I entered a phone number. Only a few seconds and the person picked up the phone with a, "Yello?"
"Hey, Soos, it's Gemini...."
-LATER-
I got prepared, for the bold move I was about to make. By prepared, I mean Jeans and a hoodie, along with a drawing of the second wheel on my arm as a signal of who I am about to fight for. Fortunately, no one was in the cabin at the time, thus no one to stop me. I grabbed journal four and some chalk, walking out the door.
There sitting at the porch was Nolan, Olivia, Alex, and Ajax. Since when did they get there?
"Woah, G Strings wearing a hoodie? What's the occasion?" Ajax looked at me, "Can I come with?!"
"Eh... no." I responded.
"Can you tell us what you are doing at least? Nolan asked, a chipmunk jumping on her shoulder.
"Something brave and stupid." I jumped off the porch, "Oh, and please don't follow me."
All I could see was the four give each other worried looks, as I walked away.
-LATER (again)-
The wheel was drawn, book in hands, and courage built up. Taking a deep breath, I let out the words, "I want to make a deal..."
Everything went black and white, I felt my wings flop out of my back, and signs popped out of the ground, each of them with a music note and the words 'She's In a CoMa'. An evil laughter filled my ears, and soon, the triangle known as Bill floated out.
"Well well well well well, if it isn't my wingman!" He shouted, "come to trade your soul for little Music Note's life?"
"So you do plan on killing her..." I grinded my teeth.
"Totally!" He circled around me, "and I'm guessing you want to do something about it!"
"Exactly." I began, "I want to fight you. If I loose, you may take my life and do whatever you want to Viola. But if I win, we get to fulfill whatever prophecy you were talking about, and get Viola out of the coma."
"Hmmn... sounds fair to me!" His stick hand had a blue flame on it, "lets shake on it!"
I shook his hand, only to hear Alex a few seconds later, screaming, "GEMINI!? WHAT THE DING DONG DIDDLY ARE YOU DOING?!"
~Narrator POV~
Chains came up from the ground, grasping around Gemini's wings, wrists, and legs, same for Bill. They both fell underground, all four of the other kids having a look of horror and screaming, "GEMINI!" Ajax being the loudest.
Gemini came up a few seconds later, head down, wings not chained, but wrists and legs still. Her head was down, but when it shot up, it was a horror filled sight to see.
One half of her face was normal, but the other had a yellow and black eye, showing Cipher had possessed half of her. "I told you guys not to follow me!" Her voice was a mix of both Bill's and hers.
"You know we aren't just gonna do that!" Ajax yelled at her. Gemini fell back under ground, only to come back up a few seconds later. "let me finish talking to them, Bill!" Her voice rang.
"Please don't die! I've only known you for a couple days, but you are too chill to die!" Nolen screamed, an animal army appearing behind her.
"GEMINI YOU FART STOP IT." Alex yelled, hugging a terrified Olivia.
"At least tell me your secret until you go, Strings!" Ajax yelled.
Gemini went under again, coming up one last time on her hands and knees. She looked up at Ajax, smiling. Her eye filled with a look of reassurance, and Bills filled with insanity. "My secret...." She began, "My secret is.... My name is actually Susan.
Gemini, or Susan, went under.
