"So guys." said Ezra, "This is.." He turned to me, with a slight frown on his face. "I never asked your name, did I?"

Currently, we were standing in his ship, the Ghost. The rest of the crew was there, all staring at me strangely. I had already been introduced to them, and had forgotten most of their names already. The Twi'lek, Hera, I think, was currently piloting us out into space away from the Empire. Away from Lothal.

"Tilah." I said absentmindedly. I had never been to space before. Maybe they could drop me off at another planet.

"This is Tilah." He concluded.

The cat man sighed. "Please tell me that there will not be two of you on this ship." He turned and walked down one of the gray hallways, making me wonder why he was so cranky.

The other girl in painted Mandolorian armor also turned to walk down the same hallway. "Nice to meet you and all, but I'm almost done with a painting in my room..."

That left me, Ezra and the guy with a beard. "Uh.. You're Kanan, right?" I said, hoping I got it right. Since I spent most of my time running from people rather than talking to them, remembering names had never been my strong suit. Kanan nodded.  "So can I ask why you just left Lothal and went into space.. With me still on  the  ship?"

"We may not be.. friends of the empire." Kanan admitted, glancing away from me for a second. "So we're going to have to wait a while until it's safe to go back."

I sighed. I could see Ezra staring at me out of the corner of my eye, so I turned to him. "What?" I asked irritably. He jumped slightly, like he had just been day dreaming.

"Nothing, nothing. Just wondering why you would want to go back there." He motioned to a window, and I could see Lothal beneath us.

"Whoa... That is awesome!" I said, going to the window for a better look. It was amazing. Millions and millions of stars scattered around, and I couldn't believe that I had gone through 16 years of my life and never witnessed anything like it. Finally, I tore my gaze away from the window and turned back to Ezra. "I guess, if I have to, I would go back there."

I notice that Ezra's trying to cover up laughter. His face is turning slightly pink, and he's trying to hold back a smile. "Hey, care to let me in on the joke?" I say.

"Nothing.." He says. "I just think that it's hilarious to watch you look out that window. It looks like you just discovered all of life's mysteries."

I roll my eyes and shove him a bit. He loses his balance and falls onto the metal floor. "Hey you two, calm down." Kanan says, and I realize he never left the room.

"How long until I go back to Lothal?" I ask him. Honestly, I was getting a little nervous being trapped in a big lump of metal floating in space.

"I wanted to discuss something with you.." He says, walking over to me. He glances over at Ezra, who's picked himself off the ground. "How about you go bug Zeb or something?"

Ezra rolls his eyes. "I'm going, I'm going. Just don't send us out to get Meilooruns again." He walks down the same hallways as the others did before him, and after a minute, I can hear shouting. He must have picked a fight with cat man already.

"Anyway," Kanan says. "I'm wondering whether or not you would like to join us here on the Ghost."

I stare at him blankly for a minute. Where these people stupid or something? I could have been a secret agent or whatever for the Empire, and they wouldn't even know it. Why was he so trusting?
