***Abigail Winchester's P.O.V***

My life was pretty normal. I had a family who loved me, but they were different in their own way. Mom and Dad were hunters. My Uncle was too, but he stopped after he got engaged. My aunts are S.H.I.E.L.D agents and well, my best friends were avengers. That's all I got.

"Mom I can't find my phone!!!"

"I got it! Hurry up, you're gonna be late!!"

"I'm coming!!" I ran out of my room and gave my mom a quick hug before grabbing my backpack and phone and following my dad out the door and towards the Impala. The ride to school was quiet and I was texting the whole time.

"Call if you need anything you hear me?"

"Yeah Dad. Love you."

"Love you more!" I shut the door and walked through the doors of high school.

Once I walked in, I saw Zeke at his locker. "Hey weirdo."

"Hey loser." He said back to me.

I laughed and went to my locker to get my history stuff. I got to class and waited for the teacher to show up.

The teacher walked in as soon as the bell rang and began class. "The battle of New York took place right at the end of the war in our very own...New York City. How many casualties resulted in this battle? Ms. Winchester?"

"Umm...a lot? I'm not sure. Like a whole lot." The class giggled and I smiled.

"Cute becomes dumb in an instant, Ms. Winchester. Mr. Hathaway? Would you like to take this opportunity to overcome your embedded jock stereotype?"

"It's okay, Mr. Tanner, I'm cool with it."

Then Mr. Tanner looked at Zoey. "Hmm, Zoey? Surely you can enlighten us about one of the city's most significantly historical events?"

Zoey shrunk in her chair and said, "I'm sorry. I...I don't know."

"I was willing to be lenient with you considering your family, Zoey. But the excuses ended with summer break."

"There were 346 casualties. Unless you're counting local civilians." The weirdo said from the back of the class.

"That's correct Mister...?"

"Rogers."

"Rogers. Any relation to Captain America?"

Weirdo laughed and looked to the ground then back up and said, "Distant."

"Well, very good. Except, of course, there were no civilian casualties in this battle.

"Actually, there were 27, sir. Chitauri fired on a building that they thought had the Avengers in it. They were wrong. It was a night of great loss. The archives are, uh, stored in civil hall if you'd like to brush up on your facts, Mr. Tanner." The entire class got quiet and Mr. Tanner went back to the board.

School moved by slowly after that and when Dad came to pick me up, he looked worried. "What is it, Daddy-o?"

"Nothing, don't worry about it." As Dad started driving off, he started swerving off the road.

"Dad!!" I yelled and he corrected the car.

"Why the hell are you yelling while I'm driving?!" Dad was furious.

"You almost hit a semi head on I have a reason to yell!!!"

"But I thought I saw...." He let the sentence hang there and never finished it. I wasn't going to question it.
