"Don't pick up." was the first thing he said. "But Josh, what if she - " "Do not pick up that phone." He sneered. "You need to show them who's boss. If you're gonna run away you have to do it properly." "It's my mom! She cares about me!" I fought back. "Tyler, trust me. It's better for you if you don't pick up th- " Jordan cut him off, "Dude, that's his mom." "It's a long story, leave it to me." Josh answered him, then turned back to me. "Tyler."
Don't listen to him.
"Shut up, Blurry." I mumbled, quite angrily. "Who's 'Blurry'?" I heard Mark ask. Josh ignored him and just put his hand on my arm. "Give me your phone, Ty."
Slowly and shakily I handed the device over to him, and he denied the call, then turned it completely off. "It's for the better." He said. "What if she - " "No Ty." "What if something ha - " "Tyler." "What if - " "Tyler." he sneered.
You sure are something special Tyler.
I remained silent - it would be for the better after all. Would it? "Ty-guy?" Josh asked, using a nick name for me. "Who's Blurry?" Mark repeated a little louder now.
You're a bother to everyone.
"Tyler, say something."
My phone vibrated one last time, letting me know it was off. Your parents.
"Is Blurry his conscious or something?"
"Tyler!"
Your siblings.
Josh gripped my arm a little tighter. "Tyler, I'm getting seriously concerned about you."
I was beginning to feel a little lightheaded - I needed to get out of there.
Everyone!
"Ty - "
"Stop." I whispered. "What?" Josh asked, hoping I'd repeat. "Everybody stop.." I couldn't hear myself anymore. I only heard my heartbeat and the voices. Louder than ever.
Failure.
"Stop!" I screeched before I fell on my knees, pulling Josh down with me, before I blacked out and completely collapsed onto him.
-
"Shh, guys, he's waking up." I heard Josh's gentle voice speaking up. "Are you sure it's him, and not Blurry?" I though that was Mark. I opened my eyes to slits, hearing, "Shut the fuck up, - Ty? Can you hear me?" I groaned and sighed - nodding. "Are you okay? What happened?" I ignored his question, what I wanted to know first was, "Where the fuck am I?"
Josh chuckled, "You're in my room, Ty." I closed my slits again and relaxed. "Josh... Can we talk? In private?" I asked. "Jordan, Mark, get the fuck out. Now." I heard and I smiled. "But- " "Out." He repeated, cutting Jordan off completely.
Only when I heard a door shut, I sat up. I rubbed my eyes, sighing. "I'm so done with this." I muttered. "Done?" Josh repeated. "As in, Josh Dun?" It took a few seconds to realize what he was saying, but then I shoved him. "You're an asshole." I said. "Butt you love me." He answered. It made me laugh. "Fuck off!" I giggled. "Okay, okay, I'll stop,
"I kinda really want to know what happened just yet." He finished. "I know you do." I said. "Blurry is not a friend. He's an enemy." "He's inside your head." Josh said. "Ahh..- yeah. He is. And it's really bad. He can take over sometimes." I explained. "Take over?" He asked. "M-My body. Sometimes, he can even take over my body." I explained.
Josh sighed, taking my hand. He rubbed his thumb over my knuckles. "Isn't that like... really scary?" "It is. It really is. I might harm people who I love and I could lose all control." I said. "And because I'm weak, and I can't take much, I pass out quickly." "But you can't harm yourself, right?" He asked, and I laughed a little too hard at that. "Blurry loves harming me. It's the only thing he wants. Me and my dearly beloved. He's the demon in my head." I explained, refusing to look at him.
