Well at least my liver was going to last.
My liver was okay, it wasn't life threatening and everything is solved, but my mind and heart are going to be gone soon. I just felt it.
I was curled up on the hospital bed with Josh, half asleep and half fully awake. I felt the few tears streaming down my face. They say that after you try to commit suicide, you see the light. I think I did see the light, and my depression sure saw it too. My depression is like an eclipse. It's like Blurry doesn't want me to see the light. I never asked for this.
"Tyler?" I heard him ask. I groaned silently and high pitched in response. "You seem a little off, and your heartbeat is faster than usual." He said. "I'm fine." I said. "Are you sure?" He asked, absentmindedly tightening his grip around me. I shrugged. "I want to get out of this place and I want my fucking clothes back." I sneered. Josh exhaled in understanding. "Get up for a second, baby." He said. "No, I'm comfy." I answered, snuggling up in him. "I have a surprise for you." He said, slowly beginning to push me off him. "Hmm what is it?" I asked. "It wouldn't be a surprise if I told you, now get off." He chuckled.
I gave in and sat up, letting him crawl away from the bed. He walked towards his backpack that he brought ever since he was back here, and told me to close my eyes. "Josh, no, just tell me!" I whined. "No, just close your eyes!" He chuckled. I really didn't see anything funny in this. I groaned and closed my eyes. I heard some rustling before something dropped on the bed in front of me. "Now open them." I heard. I opened my eyes and looked at what he dropped in front of me on the bed.
Well I'll be damned.
I squealed. "Josh!" I looked at him and saw him grinning. "Come on, try it!" He encouraged me. He had gone all the way back to his house to get me some of his clothes to wear. "You know I can't get out of this gurney.." I said sadly, but still extremely happy that he cared so much about me. "It's time to be rebellious, Tyler." He said, sitting down next to me. "I never did anything rebellious! I'm not a rebel!" I squeaked. Josh smiled, ruffling my hair and 'aww'ing quietly. "What?" I snapped playfully. "Innocent little bean. You're cute Tyler." He said. "Bean? Are you kidding me?" I laughed.
"Come on, at least try the jeans on." Josh ignored my question and handed the black jeans over. I unfolded them, "Dude, how skinny are these? I won't fit in those." "That's the whole point of skinny jeans, Tyler Joseph." Josh laughed. "I mean look at mine, this is what skinny jeans are supposed to look like. I'm rocking them. You'll rock them too." I breathed a laugh and tried them on. As I pulled them up, - struggling a lot, - I muttered, "My mom is going to kill me." "I'll kill her before she lays a hand on you." Josh winked. I scoffed and rolled my eyes, buttoning the jeans.
I looked at myself, "I don't think I can walk in these, kid." I laughed. Josh giggled and answered, "Okay for one, I'm older. Two, I'm taller. You can't call me 'kid', kid. Third, you didn't even try. They'll be comfortable in the first three steps." I rolled my eyes and walked a few steps through the room. Goddammit, he was right.
"Fucking hell these're comfortable!" I said, jumping up and down a bit. "Now try the shirt on." Josh said and handed me the shirt happily. I unfolded the grey fabric and it revealed the Avenged Sevenfold logo. I rose an eyebrow. "Seriously?" "I thought I'd get you something that'll make you look badass as fuck. So why not Sevenfold?" He chuckled in response. He was cute. I quickly took the gurney off and pulled the short-sleeved shirt over my head. I ignored the bandage around my wrist, and it seemed that Josh did the exact same. He wasn't staring at my wrist, but deeply into my eyes.
"Don't do that.." I said, smiling shyly and looking away. "Don't do what?" He asked, taking a step closer to me. "Don't stare at me. Don't stare at my whatever." I whispered. "I don't care what you think you are, because to me, you're the prettiest person on earth." He said, wrapping one arm around my waist and interlocking our fingers with the hand I held up to my chest. "What about Debby?" Almost before I finished the sentence he cut me off. "Fuck Debby, Tyler, you're all that matters to me right now." He said.
