Kahlil took Zoe's hand to thread finger as they entered the hotel running late as planned after all the opening speeches to find the lower floors already crowded. Anyone who was anyone was here. A world famous band was playing in the back ground. Models, movie stars, sports stars, anyone world famous was here. Champagne flowed freely that Kahlil removed from her clutches to be replaced with non-alcoholic bubbly.
"Like that is it?" she laughed.
"Yes it is, so behaviour yourself," her fingers squeezed his as they made their way to the top floor where the private party was to sneak in and make it to their table to be greeted by a raised brow by Assad who was dressed in a Tuxedo like Kahlil that they called dressing down to Zoe's amusement. Bella looked amazing as usual in a Valentino creation of emerald green lace gown while she had stayed with a navy blue caftan with a gold patterned netted long sleeved over lay.
Zoe settled at Bella's side who shielded her mouth with a hand and mouthed to Assad. "They have more sex than we do."
He covered his side of face with his hand to mouth back. "Baby." She nodded.
Zoe leaned to her husband. "What did you tell Assad?" she asked about their deliberated delay.
"I had more important things to do like baby making."
Zoe burst out laughing looking down since she drew attention to herself. "You didn't."
"I did," he said proudly.
Bella leaned towards the couple. "Are you sure you want to join the club?"
"Yep," they said together.
"Oh, my god, he sounds Aussie," Bella gasped. Kahlil smiled while Zoe chuckled to spend a lovely evening with their family, enjoying the entertainment, rich food, filled with laughter and fun. Zoe had no idea Assad had such a wicked sense of humour.
Kahlil leaned closer sliding an arm along the back of Zoe's chair to play with her hair. Zoe smiled up at him totally relaxed placing a hand on his leg to caress. His head turned to press his lips into her temple.
"Our friend isn't too pleased my love. Kiss me and show him how much you love me."
"In public," she gasped shocked. His fingers tightened around the nape of her neck to have her kiss him lightly on his lips.
"Is that the best you can do?" he growled.
"Yes in public," she teased to have his hold around her tighten and drawn closer to be thoroughly kissed. Assad coughed to break them apart. "I hope you don't get into trouble," Zoe whispered knowing such affection in public was a big no-no, however Kahlil had a plan. One she was enjoying.
First they arrive late giving him a sense of false security thinking they probably had a fight or something because they were never late, ever. She had seen Philip from the corner of her eye when they had arrived preening himself at his table, proud as a peacock. His face fell when they arrived, hers glowing and holding her husband's hand. All through the reception Kahlil had lavished her with attention.
"How is lover boy going?" She placed an arm around his neck to place her chin on his shoulder peering across under her lashes.
"Not a happy camper. Daggers," she laughed waving at him who looked away. Beyond caring she turned around and settled back in her seat, ignoring Bella's questioning look because their behaviour was very odd.
"What did you just do?" Kahlil asked.
"Waved, sorry couldn't resist."
Kahlil chuckled. "Good. Forget him I think we have made it clear about our relationship and he will be panicking by now." He reached for his phone to call in reinforcements because he couldn't have him leaving before they did. In a very short time Palace guards positioned themselves near the doors fully armed just behind Philip's table that had been hand picked. The owners were only too happy to help in this matter and knew what was going down. Nothing, however, Philip didn't know that. Assad scanned the scene quickly to sum up the situation then looked across to his brother who looked very relaxed and at ease.
