Chapter 3: Getting Closer

And another chapter redone! I did combine 2 others into this one to make it less, well, confusing. I didn't do a whole lot to them but combine them to make a bigger chapter so- Enjoy!

As days go on and Wheatley does more and more goofy stuff and making you laugh to the point you couldn't breathe. More and more people starting shipping you two together and that made you blush madly. Your friend Alyssa, was the worst "Awe (y/n) you and Wheatley are so adorable! Why haven't you asked him out yet???" You blushed madly "Alyssa... I swear I'm gonna..... Just stop... Just... No...." Being to frustrated to find words, you just stuttered that out. You went to go get food, as you walked in you noticed a fight going on. "Wonder what happened" Alyssa said scaring the hell out of you. "God damnit Alyssa! And I don't know but I hope it isn't Wheatley..." You said and you went to get a closer look to see who it was fighting. As you approached you had a sense of relief when you saw Wheatley wasn't in the fight, but instead watching it.

"David???" I managed. Of all the people to get into a fight, the space core was in the fight. Over space.... I sighed and tried to stop them but got socked in the face by the other kid. That made Wheatley mad. "Calm down Wheatley, there isn't any need to do this..." I mustered out. He just shook his head "No, that was unnecessary..." He charged at the kid and David bounced out of Wheatley's way and came to my side. "You ok (y/n)?" He asked. I nodded and he helped me up. 'Man that was one heck of a blow' I sighed and had no choice but to watch Wheatley fight the kid who seemed oddly familiar.... In a bad way too (you can imagine Wheatley fighting someone you hate ;) yw) after some time, both came out with blood, bruises and cuts on them. But Wheatley won the fight and spat "That's what you get for doing that.... Punk..." He walked over to where I was with Dave and basically collapsed into my arms. "Wheatley!?" Was all he heard before blacking out....

After getting Wheatley rushed home, I tend to his wounds. He began to wake up. "Hey (y/n)! He's waking up!" Dave yelled. At hearing this, I rush over to make sure he won't do anything stupid. "Wheatley..... how ya feeling?" I ask gently. He groans slightly in pain but opens his eyes and looks over to me. "(Y/n)...." He smiles gently "I'm ok, just gonna be sore for quite awhile..." He tries to get up but I push him back down "Yip yip yip! (TFP reference? Anyone? No? Ok..) You are not doing anything until your wounds are fully healed, What is it you need?" Wheatley looks at me and laughs slightly "Water please love.... Thanks" I nod and leave to get some water for him. I sighed in relief knowing he's going to be ok. I come back to give him his water. Yawning, he scoots over slightly patting the bed signaling me to lay down. I smile a little and obliged. I slowly fall asleep, feeling a pair of arms wrap around me, I sigh happily and fall asleep.

A month has past since this fight, Wheatley is better and always near me. David has been wandering around and I don't mind, as long as he stays safe. Yeah I may seem im being protective, but it's for their own good. There is a group of people named K.I. (Kinetic Inventions) They are a dangerous group and dismantle and tinker with anything not of this world, and Wheatley and Dave happen to be their next target. So I keep close eyes on both of them, Wheatley less and Dave more.... mostly cause he keeps wandering off. "DAVID SPACE CORE WHERE DID YOU GO!?" Was suddenly heard when I lost sight of Dave. Wheatley startled by the sudden outburst backs off a bit knowing I was pissed. But when we finally found him, we were too late... K.I. had gotten to him first.
