-Niall's POV-

Opening the door to my complex, I sighed relishing the comfort of my home. A quiet yawn had me look back to see William almost asleep in Christine's arms. She looked a bit warn out as well.

"Do you want me to take William?" I asked as she shook her head with a soft smile.

"Where's William's room?" I directed her to the room and quietly followed her. Putting the baby bag down, I watched as Christine delicately put William into his cot. She stroked his hair and tucked him in as I came beside her.

His eyes fluttered closed as his head fell onto his side.

"He truly is perfect." Christine muttered after a few moments. "You're very lucky Niall Horan." Her eyes lifted to mine to see everything she said deemed sincere.

"I know." I replied in a whispered tone.

Tiptoeing then out of the room before shutting the door, Christine stretched and plopped down on my couch as I watched her. Just admiring her tired being.

"You wanna watch a movie and finish those doughnuts?" I offered as she smiled tiredly up at me.

"I'd like that." With a simple nod, I quietly grabbed the doughnuts from William's room and brought them back out. The lights were still out and the day was beginning to darken. It was a perfect scene to relax in.

"Any preferences?" I asked as she shrugged and thought.

"Something funny." Nodding to her choice, I picked Stepbrothers and settled us in.

She chewed at her doughnut as I easily chomped mine down.

We soon demolished the sweets and I put the rubbish on the lounge room table before relaxing.

Christine and I would laugh every now and then until it eventually was just me. "Christine?" I whispered though she didn't respond; so I scooted closer and shook her shoulder lightly. "Chri-" she fell into my side.

My body tensed down at her sleeping figure as I just stared at her. I hadn't been close to a girl like this since... well, since Brianna.

The thoughts I had screamed for me to push her away; to distance myself. But my body relaxed and pulled her closer into me.

Her face fell onto my chest and I couldn't help but feel a twinge of a smile. The warm breaths she breathed cane onto my neck creating a single to run through me.

What the hell was I doing? Why wasn't I pushing her away? I didn't need her. She was just a friend.

Finally giving into my thoughts, I gently pushed her away though she groaned as her fingers softly touched my side. I froze, wanting to see what she would do next.

Christine's fingers loosely gripped onto my shirt as her face slipped onto my arm.

She was harmless. She wasn't trying to seduce me or force me into anything. She hasn't made a move and she hasn't suggested anything.

There was nothing wrong with this.

Concluding to that, I pulled once again into my side and sighed as I finished the movie.

My hands softly laid Christine back into her bed as she slightly stirred. I looked down and pulled her feet into my lap before taking her shoes off.

Her ankle was slightly purple making me growl and rest her feet back on the bed. He hurt her like this and I know that if he apologized with fake tears and fake remorse than she would take him back.

So I had to keep him away from her for Christine's sake.

"Goodnight Christine." I whispered stroking hair out of her face and slowly exiting the room. A loud exhale left me as I came to the fridge and took out a cold beer.

With my phone, beer and adidas jumper on, I came outside onto my balcony and relaxed on one of my chairs. My fingers typed at my bright screen as I searched up my name for anymore news.

Of course there was.

Niall Horan gets protective with his former will friend while out on a lunch date?

God; these people will do anything for a good shit filled story.

The mystery brunette -which also goes by the name of Christine Andrew- has been sighted yet again with the one direction heart throb. Only this time at a burger joint? The star is quick to help his son into the car (what an amazing dad) before coming back and helping Christine. It seemed as though she wasn't used to the attention, but luckily our hero Niall swooped in and saved the day.

See video below.

I didn't save anything. Christine didn't know how to handle the paparazzi so I stepped in.

Rolling my eyes, I gave up on the latest gossip and pressed on my Twitter app. It had exploded -like usual- with mentions from the fans.

Some commenting 'love you' on my tweets and others questioning me about Christine.

Christine Andrew huh?

I searched her name up and found a profile picture with her face and some girls in it. Enlarging the picture, I smiled at the goofy photo of her and her friend.

She looked truly happy here.

I didn't hesitate to press the follow button and search her up on Instagram as well. She had both thankfully but no Snapchat. Huh, what a shame.

Putting my phone down, I took a sip of my beer and looked over at the city of London. It was quiet nights like these that I really enjoy.
