-Christine's POV-
"Hey." I started the first greeting as I waited for mum to answer.
"Why are you calling?" Well it's usually a polite way to greet back mother.
"I'm calling about Maddy."
"There's three days left until you can see her." I snapped at her bitchass reply.
"Mum, are you kidding me?!"
"Well you should learn to be more responsible." My jaw literally dropped.
"She came back in perfect condition! She wasn't hurt or dead!"
"That's not the point."
"Oh, ok. So the point was that I was five minutes late." It was silent on her end of her phone.
"Fifteen minutes." She corrected as I rolled my eyes.
"Five minutes-fifteen minutes, it doesn't matter!"
"Three days." And with that, she ended the call. My eye twitched as I pulled the phone in front of my face.
Ever since I moved out she's become this complete bitch to me. I understand that it's sad when your child moves out but to drag it on like this? It's ridiculous.
"Everything ok?" I looked up to see Niall approach the couch with a large packet of chips. Hmm, I wonder where he got that from. Maybe it was a spare.
"My mum's being mum again." He sat beside me as I ran my hands frustratedly through my hair. "I can't see Maddy for another three days and that's when we're leaving for Australia. Fuck!"
I slouched back in the couch and huffed crossing my arms.
"I'll make sure we see her before we go. Promise." Niall pulled his legs over my lap as I raised my eyebrows at them. "Plus, I have a little surprise for tonight."
"What?" I ask as he smirks. "We having sex now?" His eyes widened as be shook his head resting his chips on his lap.
"No! N-not yet. I-I'm not ready yet." Niall stuttered slightly ashamed as he turned his face. "I feel like if we have sex then it'll make the relationship complete, you know? It's a big step and last time I did it..."
William was created. I understand.
"Ok. We won't rush anything." He smiles thankfully and leans down, pecking my lips for me to taste his chip flavour.
Sweet onion and chives; gotta be. Well the packet says so anyway. Great going Christine; applaud for you.
"But the surprise involves a little lazy date I had in mind." My interest rose as I sat up holding onto his legs. "After William's gone to bed, I'm going to treat you like a princess."
"Can't wait." I mumbled cupping his face and connecting our lips.

"-you put William to bed then meet me outside on the balcony." Niall passed William into my arms as the blonde boy's head fell onto my shoulder. He gave a quick kiss to my lips before walking back into the kitchen.
I carried the bundle in my hands and walked him into his dark room. My hand kept patting his back until he gently was placed in his cot.
"Sleep well baby." I muttered kissing his forehead and tucking him in. Then tiptoeing out of the room, I quietly shut the door and pulled my jumper sleeves over my hands.
The balcony door was left open as I stepped out to go wide eyed. There were little lounge chairs out here with a small table holding red burning candles.
Niall poured two glasses of wine beside our plates as j stepped over. "Wow." I breathed as he looked up and smiled.
"Come sit." He pulled blanket over his lap as I took a seat next to him. He covered us up in warmth again and handed me my glass of wine. "To us and our new relationship."
We clinked glasses and I chuckled before sipping my substance. Left over sausage rolls from dinner were on two plates in front of us.
"I'm not exactly a good cook so I just took these." If he was blushing, I'd never know from the shadow of the red candles dancing across his face.
"It's perfect." My boyfriend smiled over and leant close as his spare hand cupped the back of my neck. Our lips met softly as I enjoyed the tender kiss between us.
Niall pulled away slowly and snuck a kiss to my cheek before pulling me close. I held my wine against me as I pulled my knees to my chest.
He put his wine down and held the plate as we snuggled looking over the city of London. When he had finished the mouthful of his food, he'd place small kisses on my cheek. His breath smell delicious making me begin to nibble.
"You know," he began resting his chin on my head, "I wouldn't want to be anywhere else right now." My hands crept around to his back and pulled him close as I finished my food.
"Neither would I."
