Princess_Dinky's 'How to Write a Good Fanfiction

#2 50 Shades of Grey + One Direction = no.

Alright alright. So there was a lot of hype about 50 shades of grey. 

I'm sure it was a lovely book, but quite frankly, I am seeing too many stories coming up in my feed now, that are sounding eerily similar to that book. 

Guys. Please. We're teenagers and all that jazz, but every chapter of a book does not need to be like a freaking porno. 

Along with the good comments on my stories that I have received, people have actually complained that I don't have enough sex in the books

okay. okay. hold up. 

yes, we are writing books about teenage guys, but there are other things that girls do with boys than have sex. 

GASP. 

What?! They do?! 

Yes dears. It is possible. 

I have noticed, that there are now a lot more "young" people on this site from when I originally joined. Specifically, more 11-13 year olds. Reading One Direction fan fics, and quite frankly, I personally believe that they don't need to be getting 50 shades of grey doses as they read stories about their beloved one direction boys. 

Sometimes, yes it's quite nice to read some of these stories and totally imagine it was you doing all that with the lush Harry Styles. 

But once again, when they are all starting to turn into plagiarismss of 50 shades of grey, it's a little ridiculous. 

I read one, where it was honest to god, half the book freaking copied, with just name changes. 

And it had like a couple million reads on it. 

Seriously?! 

Guys. It's the same as using an overused plot. The whole getting dominated and almost raped by a hot band guy thing is really starting to wear off. If it was your own idea, then whoo. Go with it. But there's already stories like that out that have been actually published, and playing it off as your own is not cool. Period.
