Don't plagiarize.
This doesn't just apply to fanfiction honestly.
I can speak from personal experience, having somebody copy the story that you worked your ass off to write SUCKS.
And when people catch on and call the person plagiarizing out on it, they look really stupid. Just saying.
Honestly, in the end, the payoff for writing your OWN story is a million times better than copying somebody else's.
Even if 100,000 people tell you that you're the best author in the world, you really won't be. The person who's work you stole is; and they deserve credit for their accomplishments. Don't you want that satisfaction for yourself? Having people think that you're a good writer for what YOU did?
It's been over a year now since I first started to post on wattpad, but whenever I sign on and see people telling me how much they loved the new chapter, or how they can't WAIT for the next upload, I get really happy.
Because it's MY work being read, and admired by thousands of people.
I want you to be able to feel the same thing; to have the same opportunities.
Guys I started off the same as you did. I had no fans, and virtually nobody reading my works. It takes time, dedication, perseverance, and a hell of a lot of bravery, but I know you can do it.
I believe in you.
