For us Americans out there, we really need to cut back on our "british slang" or whatever the heck you want to call it.
Because let's face it. We normally end up overdoing it.
Or saying the wrong thing.
I think that we all need to accept the fact, that we are in fact not London socialites, we are american teenagers in our average american homes.
Although it's nice to pretend to be british for awhile.
Has anybody else noticed that 90% of fan fictions seem to take place in London?
I mean, I guess it makes sense, considering the boys ARE British... but I think we need some good old American fan fiction with the boys in them, aye?
I mean, using words like "knackered" and "love" and "mate" and whatever else you can think of, it's fine, but be careful not to throw them into like, every other word. I've seen some stories where honestly, it sounded like one of those cheesy "I'm trying too hard to be british, I probably walk around talking in a 'british' accent to make people laugh'' kind of things.
Just be really careful not to overdo it (:
