I got home and my phone started blowing up, courtesy of Austin.

Austin: hurry up and get ready!
Austin: you are still coming right?
Austin: remember I'm picking you up at 8
Austin: Kacey reply NOW
Austin: KACEY
Austin: KACEYYY!!
Jeez, he really doesn't trust me.
Kacey: don't worry stress pants, I'm coming, don't get your knickers in a twist! Don't go throwing your handbag across the room in a strop!
I laughed. I could be funny when I wanted, especially when calling Austin gay. Hahaha.
I looked in my closet and realised I don't really have anything party-ish. Then I remembered. My mum had always wished for a girly girl daughter, and when she didn't get one, she bought billions of short, pink, or girly party dresses in the hope that one day I may change my mind. Fat chance. I walked into my mums room and opened the doors to her walk-in wardrobe, and in the far corner were all the dresses she'd ever bought for me. I started looking though and pulled a face. None of these were to my taste. They were either all short and revealing or pink and fluffy. God mum I thought you wanted a girly girl not a pink fluffy freaking princess!
I finally chose a short-ish black sequinned dress (strapless though, big downfall) that came half way up my thighs.

After showering and drying my hair (left in a straggly mess around my shoulders for the moment) I slipped into my dress. I looked at myself in my full length mirror and was very surprised. The dress actually complimented my curves and didn't look too slutty at all. And the black sequins just made me fall in love even more. I sat down at my dressing table and attempted a messy bun (and succeeded may I add, I was quite proud of it!) After adding some small hoop earrings and a matching necklace and bracelet to finish the look, I look at the time. 7:52. I still had time for a touch of makeup. I applied a little mascara and foundation and a tiny bit of lipstick, and decided I was done. I grabbed my black converse (what? I didn't want to be TOO dressed up) and ran downstairs. Mum walked out of the living room at that exact point and looked at me in shock.
"Kace, you look...gorgeous!" She exclaimed. I smiled. I really did actually feel pretty right now.
"Thanks mum"
"Have fun tonight!"
"I will mum."
"Not too much fun though!"
I sighed.
"You know me better than that."
She laughed and went off into the kitchen. Probably to bake. My mum has an obsession with baking. Her red velvet cupcakes were to DIE for.
Then the doorbell went and I was snapped back into reality. This is really happening. God you're crazy Kacey what were you thinking? It's okay, just open the door and tell him you can't go! I took a deep breathe and opened the door, and his jaw dropped the second he saw me. I smiled shyly.
"Wow Kacey...you look...wow."
"Am I supposed to be offended or pleased by that comment?" I laughed
"Kacey do you know how beautiful you look?"
This warmed my heart, but I wasn't gonna let him know that.
"Ergh, back off mate, I ain't interested in you!" I joked and poked his chest. "C'mon, I guess we'd better be off" I said gesturing towards his truck. He finally snapped back into reality and started walking over to his massive Chevrolet 1970s classic pick up truck. (Yes I know my cars, problem?)

"Ergh, back off mate, I ain't interested in you!" She joked. She may have been joking but those few words broke my heart. Why would she like you anyway mate? You're not exactly her type are you? Big bad boy will a massive ego. Get a fucking grip.
But I couldn't help it. The second I saw her my jaw dropped. The dress flattered her curves perfectly and she just looked so damn...well...perfect!
I snapped back into reality when she gestured toward my truck.

We pulled up outside Sam Forth's house and I jumped out of the truck before realising Kacey had frozen the second I turned off the engine. She's obviously scared. I went round to her side and opened the door. I placed a hand on her shoulder.
"Hey, we're here"
"I know" she said monotonously never moving her eyes from the tree she had them fixed on.
"Come on. Let's go"
She didn't say anything for a while.

"Austin?"
"Yeah?"
"Would you judge me if I said I was scared?"
"Of course not"
"Well I am"
"It's fine, I'll be by your side the whole night, I promise" and I intended to keep my promise.
"Swear on your life?"
"I swear on my grandmothers grave."
That seemed to reassure her as she turned to me and placed both hands on my shoulders to jump out of the truck. When she removed her hands I felt my skin tingling where she had touched it and I realised I'd fallen hard for this girl. No matter what I said I knew there was no going back from this.
We walked in and I made sure she was near me at all times. You're being to protective, she might get freaked out. I went to ask her if she wanted me to leave but then I remembered my promise.
"Would you like to dance?"
She looked at me like a scared puppy.
"You'll be fine!"
"I don't know..."
"Please? Here, have some alcohol, it'll help your nerves"
Now she looked at me like I'd just grown a giant squid head.
"Are you crazy?!"
"It'll help, I promise"
Once again this seemed to relive her and she gulped down the entire beaker. Woah. Then another. Then another.
"Alright then, let's stop there shall we! If I bring a drunk Kacey back home to her mother she may not like it!" She nodded in agreement but I could already see she was extremely tipsy.
I led her out to the dance floor and placed my hands on her hips and her hands on my shoulders and we started swaying to the music.
"See? This isn't so bad is it?" I asked
She shook her head.
"I guess not"
All of a sudden the song we were dancing to changed to "Worth It" by Fifth Harmony and she broke away from me and started dancing on her own. And it was mesmerising (not in a pervy way) but the way she swing her hips round and when she dropped to the floor and back up the way her legs held her stabley, she looked like she'd been doing it her entire life. I watched completely hypnotised until I saw other boys staring at her. Well, her arse. I saw them nudging each other and I overheard what one boy wanted to do to her and that was the cherry on the top for me. I walked out and got hold of her.
"Come on Kace I think you need some coffee."
She tried breaking away but I held a firm grip.
"I don't need coffee! I'm not drunk!"
"No, but you're tipsy enough to dance seductively and not realise that you're being ogled by all boys in the room."
"All the boys?"
"Yes."
"So you?"
Fuck her.
"Well...I...no!"
"You hesitated, you were too!"
"No I was not, come on, I'm taking you to the cafe down the street"
"Fiiiine."

~*~*~

After she'd sobered up again (sort of) she started becoming self conscious again. I still don't understand how someone could be that gorgeous and not realise it!
"Did I really do that?!"
"Yes."
"And boys were staring at me?"
"Yes."
"And I didn't realise?!"
"No."
"Fudge."
"It wasn't that bad really..."
"You're just saying that coz you enjoyed it." She smirked.
I have taught this girl well.
