chapter 9 - one messed up saturday

"Aaauuustiiiin!" I whined.
"What?"
"Hurry uuuuup!"
"I'm going as fast as I fucking can!"
That was a lie. He was packing the bag like a snail.
"Oh for flips sake let me do it!"
I shoved him out of the way and starting packing the bag at lightening speed.
"How the fuck are you doing that?"
"It's called being a lady!" I smirked.
I checked everything was there. Ice-creams, towels, my hairbrush, my purse, ice packs, portable chargers, sun cre...no sun cream?!
"Austin there's no sun cream!"
"Oh yeah..."
"You idiot" I scowled. I hitched the bag up onto my shoulder and yanked open the front door.
"You coming loser?" I swear ever since you realised you like him you became meaner!
"Yeah I coming, calm down!"
He slammed the door behind him and unlocked his truck.
"C'mon princessa we don't have all day" he winked. I scowled. He knew he was the reason we were late.

The journey was anything but pleasant. Austin never shut up with his ridiculous innuendos and his pick up lines. It took a lot for me not to smack him. The only thing that stopped me was the fact he was driving.

We arrived at the beach 15 minutes late. Jackass.
"Kace, Aus, baes!" I swear when Jay comes out as gay I will not be surprised. We all knew it. I guess he was the last one to find out.
"Hey Jaaaay!" I grinned.
"We got the surfboards! We been waiting for you!" Yelled Lewis
"Aw, I feel honoured!"
Surprisingly enough that was Austin that said that, not me!
"I mean the hot one."
"Soooo me?"
He's too big headed for his own good.
"Nah man, the hot FEMALE."
"Oh that hot one? Oh okay!"
I blushed. Was he...shut up brain!
"Let's get this show on the road!"

"Let's get this show on the road!" She clapped and skipped over to the car with all the surfboards. We all ran after her and we kind of looked a bit crazy. I laughed to myself.
"Why you laughing you mad man?" Joey asked laughing at my stupidity.
"I was just thinking. Imagine what this looks like. 1 hot girl running and 4 guys running after her? We must look like right stalkers!" I laughed even harder and so did Joey.
When we finally reached the car Kacey was already unloading the surfboards.
"So, who's is who's?" She smiled.
"Big blues mine, green is Jays, yellow is Lewis', red is Joeys and little pink is yours." I said.
"How come I get a little one?" She frowned.
"Coz you're..."
"DONT say it."
"...small."
"Grrrrrr!"
I laughed uncontrollably.
"You're a grasshole."
"Oh how I love your alternative words!"
"Shut up you grass hole."
"Guys stop flirting, we have surfing to do." I turned and glared at him. Stupid Joey.
"Yay!"

We started stripping down into our swimming costumes. Joey was the first one ready and he darted off into the sea head first. Nutjob.
"I challenge you all to a surfing competition" I turned around to face the source of the voice and my eyes laid on Kacey and I just stared in awe. She was in a zebra print bikini and she looked stunning. It wasn't skimpy or revealing like all the other hoebags wore, but this didn't need to be to look amazing. And apparently I wasn't the only one who noticed.
"Dayyyum girrrrl!"
I shot a death glare at Lewis. He doesn't know you like her cut it out you psycho.
"Thanks Lewis!" She twirled her hair around her finger. I felt physically sick. Was she flirting with him? This would mean she doesn't like you.
"Well come on then!" I said quickly. "Let's start this competition!"
"Bring it on boys!" She laughed and ran down to the sea with us close behind.
"First to hit 10 big waves wins." She said laying down her board and we all nodded in approval.
"3...2...1...GO!" She screamed and we all started paddling like crazy to build up the most power.

We all laid on the sand completely shattered.
"Fuck you Kacey." Jay said breathlessly.
"I'd rather you didn't!" She laughed but she was out of breath too.
"How did you manage to get all 10 in 3 minutes?!"
"You just need to look in the right place." She said triumphantly. I didn't get it either and I was kind of annoyed. No one beat me at surfing especially girls! Call me sexist but woah! I never thought a girl could surf like that!
"Aww, she's put her top back on!" Lewis moaned.
"Omg get a grip you sicko!" I yelled even though I was thinking the same.
"What, she's hot!" He protested. I turned over the other side to face Kacey.
"Sup"
"Hi"
"Congrats by the way"
"Well thanks. But I can see the jealousy in your face" she smirked.
"Shut up"
She laughed.

"Okay dude, seriously what's up?" Lewis asked.
"What do you mean?"
"You! You've been staring at Kacey for the past hour!"
"What? No I haven't!"
"You have dude. Every time I look at you you're looking at her!"
"No I haven't!!"
"Austin. You like her."
"Whaaaat..."
"Austin you like her!!"
"Okay, so I like her! Sue me!"
"Ahhhhhhhh!"
"Omg you sound like I'm your gal pal who just told you my crush asked me out."
"I'm just happy for you."
"But you like her..?"
"Obviously not as much as you!"
Best bros.

It got to around 9pm and we were stil laying on the beach.
"I feel like swimming again"
"Kacey you're crazy, the water'll be freezing!"
"The colder the better!" She said jumping up and pulling off her top. I turned around and slapped Lewis as I knew he was staring at her.
"Dude seriously, I'm a guy, you cannot blame for checking out the hot girls!" He said whilst pulling off his own top.
"What are you doing?" Asked Joey.
"Swimming" he grinned and winked. I felt sick again and it took every ounce of strength in my body not to jump up and knock him out.

Next thing I know Lewis is in the shallows with his hands placed lightly on her hips. I physically felt my face drop. He pulled her in towards him and slammed his face down onto hers and I was sure my lunch from earlier was going to come hurling up, but when I looked back up I was surprised to see her pushing him away. YESSS!
