"wake up" I hear a voice say.
"Kacey wake up"
"KACEY!!!"
"hmm?" I murmur in my sleepy state.
"babe we've landed"

I spring upright and look in excitement at the people walking down the aisle and filing off the plane. I looked at Austin, my eyes clearly filled with excitement and he studied me for a second and chuckled.

"what?" I asked.
"nothing it's just..." he smiled playfully.
"whaaaat?"
"you're cute when you first wake up"

cute. cute. he just called me cute. WHAT?!

I jumped to my feet and squared up to him, craning my neck to look at him.

"what did you call me?"

he bent down to my level and I scowled.

"cute" he teased.
"once more..." I challenged.
"c...ute"
"that's it!!" I launched into him...but much to my dismay my petite frame made it easy for him to catch me.
"that wasn't a good idea was it?"

I scowled at him.

"put me down. I mean it now. PUT ME DOWN"
"nope!"

holding me with one arm, he piled the bags on top of our suitcases and used his other arm to drag the suitcases down the aisle. we got to the door and the flight attendant gave us a strange look.

"she's a bit tired" he whispered.

the attendant nodded in approval and Austin continued down the tube thingy connecting us to the airport. I thumped him on the back.

"you little shiz, I'm not tired, let me down!"
"well if you didn't want to be up here you shouldn't have jumped should you?"
"I hate you"
"well now that's false information"

I thumped him again as we exited the long tube and he laughed.

"babe I think we need to establish the fact that YOUR HITS DO NOT AFFECT ME!"
"shush your mush, I'll continue hitting you until you put me down" I frowned.

I flicked the sensitive spot behind his ear and he jumped and his arms fell loose. I saw the opportunity and attempted to remove myself from him grip, but unfortunately he also saw the opportunity and tightened his grip.

I sighed in defeat only to listen to his chuckle of triumph.

"oh...shut up"
"you looooove me"
"hm. unfortunately"

we left the airport and waited for a taxi to flag down.

after 15 minutes of waiting we got bored and Austin called a taxi. I wasn't allowed to know the name of the hotel we were staying at so he whispered in the drivers ear, which looked kinda creepy if you ask me. the driver helped us put our luggage in the boot and then we were away.

I looked in awe at the sights as we drove through the blocked streets, looking at the skyscraping buildings, hot sandy beaches and tall palm trees.
Austin slyly reached for my hand and intertwined our fingers.

I looked at our hands then up at him.

"cutie"
"look at you using the word you don't like!" he teased.
"correction, I don't like being CALLED cute, the word however is, well...you know...cute."
"you're not the brightest bulb in the pack are you babe?"
"shut it, I'm tired"

I heard the driver laugh to himself.

what a creep, listening to our conversations.

I laid my head on Austin's shoulder for the remainder of the journey and stayed quiet, drowsiness taking over me.

I woke slightly to the feeling of being jolted. I opened one eye and looked up to see Austin straight above me looking straight ahead. I stirred and he looked down at me and smiled.
