Dinner Dynasties

I was worried about tonight. Since Christmas was on the horizon, Chief Barham was hosting a party and I was told to bring my special someone.

This would be the first time that Kellin would meet most of my friends. I knew I would be criticized based on people's judgements of Kellin, and I was honestly worried for and about him. Tonight would be either a nightmare or a daydream.

I ran my fingers through Kellin's hair and pulled his back to meet my chest. I kissed his clothed shoulder and made my way to his neck. His snores filled the air and I couldn't help but smile at the sound. He was just so darn cute. He stopped snoring momentarily and I stopped moving in case I had awakened him. He simply snuggled farther into me and started snoring again.

Mornings like these were my absolute favourite. I could relax and just be with Kellin, whether that meant making out on a couch or beating his ass at Monopoly, it was always perfect as long as we got some time alone, just the two of us.

I had been up for about an hour when Kellin finally started yawning himself to consciousness.

"Where are you going?" he asked, his voice high-pitched from fatigue.

"I have to pee," I chuckled.

"No. I'm not letting you go," he told me, spinning in my grip and holding me against him.

"Darling, I'm not afraid to pee on you."

"Ew!" he screamed, letting go and actually pushing me away. I laughed and blew him a kiss as I left the room.

"No! Come back and love me!"

"I'll be back in no time, Kells," I told him. He pouted adorably, but I left anyway.

I came back to see Kellin buried in my pillow. I was worried that he may have fallen asleep again, so I waltzed over, picked him up, and tossed him over my shoulder.

"Whoa!" Kellin screeched. "What the hell are you doing!?"

"Nothing," I replied nonchalantly. There was nothing odd about going to the shower.

"Vic!" he squealed. I chuckled and brought him to the bathroom.

"We're gonna shower," I told him.

"Together?" he asked warily. I looked at him weirdly, confused.

"Why are you self conscious all of the sudden?"

"I'm not," he replied quickly. I gave him the look that told him I knew otherwise and he sighed. He pushed up his shirt and revealed a foot-shaped bruise. I gasped and rushed over to him.

"What the hell happened!?" I yelled.

All he did was give me a look and I knew. Those bastards from school are really gonna get it now. Kellin removed one of my hands and held it comfortingly. I hated how relaxed he was about this. He acts like it's a game that he's trying to win and I can't fathom how he doesn't realize it's unwinnable. I cleared my throat and took a different approach than I usually do.

"Let's shower."

We were getting ready for the dinner party, changing clothes and spraying cologne. We hadn't done much all day, since Kellin had a two hour exam and only just got back.

"Okay, are you almost ready?" I asked. He was the slowest man I've ever met.

"Yeah, yeah, almost." He was tying his shoes and finally got up.

"About time," I mumbled, walking to the door.

"I'm not ready yet!" he exclaimed. I groaned and he just laughed, running back to our room. He finally came back out, with his wallet.
