The whole day I can't find her but, later, when I get home, while I'm finishing my homework I get a call. I check the caller ID - it's her.
I slide to answer, "Hello?"
She answers immediately, "I'm sorry I wasn't there today to walk you around again but, I would appreciate it if you could ..come over with the notes and homework from first period? Please?" - I can imagine her persuading grin.
"Uh yeah, um, let me just ask my mom if I could get a ride."
"Okay thank you so much! See you soon?"
"Yeah."

I make it to her house.
I walk to her front door - excited yet scared. I knock.
I can hear someone run to the door and twist the knob, "Oh my god Jeffrey, you're amazing! Come in." She greets me with her beautiful smile.
She runs up a staircase, "Mom, Jeffrey's here. We'll be upstairs." - I follow right behind.
When we get to the top, she opens a door and gestures me to go in first. I walk in and everything is bright and white. The air is cool and it smells like Febreze. I sit on the end of her perfectly made bed and get out the binder from my bag.
She sits next to me, "Jeffrey?"
"Yeah?"
"Do you like me?"
"No. I just enjoy kissing random girls occasionally."
She punches me lightly, "No but, seriously?"
"Of course I do. You're beautiful.. and funny." She smiles again. - "Oh and you know where all my classes are." She laughs and covers her face with her hands. After, she lifts her head then looks at me, "I know like that it's weird that I just broke up with my boyfriend then all this happened and I'm so sorry for confusing you. I actually have known for a while that he was cheating on me but I never knew how to say it to his face." She pauses quickly and looks around the room. "Okay, I'm going to tell you something. I really do like you so I wanted to know if we can get to know each other more and, ya know, 'see what happens.'"
"That would be great."
