Jeffrey:

I caught Emily right before she fell.

I can feel her thick hair between my fingers as she remains motionless in my arms.

I'm not worried though - I can also feel the rising and falling of her chest as her lungs inflate and deflate with air and the feel of her body pulse as her heart circulates the blood through her body.

Suddenly I feel her body twitch and I can see her eyelashes flicker. She takes in a deep breath and sits up in a panicked motion, "What happened? I was so scared I was like dying or something."

She's okay.

I pull her into a hug and burry my face into her shoulder as I chuckle, "You're fine." Her body calms under my touch.

A second later we release eachother then I hand her a water and she drinks it.

I wonder what happened.

Emily's face becomes pail again - as though she just remembered something.

I turn to see what she's so tense about and it's John's son.

Why's he worrying her?

Emily starts to mumble, "Jeffrey I need to tell you."

I focus on her, "What?"

What the hell is she about to say?

"You know-" She clears her throat a little before beginning to speak again, "Johnson's son." She gestures to him with her eyes. He stands silently in a tense position, much like Emily's.

"Yeah." I mention quickly and knod slowely.

She sits up straight, "He's-" She pauses. "His name." She looks at me nervously, possibly contemplating about what she's going to say, "It's Jonah."

I flinch a little.

Jonah.

My hands tighten into fists and my fingers go numb with only the feel of my knuckles going white.

I don't know what to think, but maybe I do.

In confusion I turn and walk away in a fast pace.

I need to leave.

I need to organize my thoughts.
