Lani,

"Aye imma be back in a lil while. Stay here." Chris said about to walk out the door but I stopped him.

"Why I gotta I stay here?" I crossed my arms looking at him. He sighed pulling put a was of money throwing it on the counter.

"There ya go. Make sure yo damn phone is charged."

"No problem father." I rolled my eyes running upstairs to get dressed. I heard him leave out and seconds later his car pulled off.

Since I didn't own any clothes I wore Chris basketball shorts and his smallest t shirt. I would use that money to get me some clothes.

Once I was dressed I grabbed the money and my phone stuffing it all in my bra then left out.

My first stop was Victoria secret. I need more bras and panties asap. After that trip I went to almost every other store in the mall before hauling me and all these bags up to the food court.

I ordered my food and found a seat by myself. While I was eating I noticed a guy staring at me a few tables away. He was light skin but darker than Chris and he also had many tattoos.

They way he was looking at me was unreadable. I shifted uncomfortably in my seat as I tried not to focus on him. He began walking over to me and I could feel a pit forming in my stomach.

"Lani right?" I raised an eyebrow. Who the fuck is he?

"Who are you?" He slid in the both across from me smiling like were we just the best of friends.

"I'm august baybeh." That name sounded familiar as fuck. Where have I heard that name?

"Oh...hey..." I said awkwardly. I don't think I've ever seen him a day in my life but that name is way too familiar.

"Don't act ya don't know a nigga. You Chris guh right?" That's when it hit me. He's the august Chris has 'beef' with. I didn't know whether I should've told him I wasn't so I just nodded silently.

"Yea. How do you know?" He smirked licking his lips.

"I know errythang baybeh girl..just ask ya man." I rolled my eyes. My man? Um no. I can't even imagine that.

"Whatever. I gotta go." I said grabbing all of my bags standing up.

"Ight but jus know dat I'm watchin." He said standing up to walk away leaving me there half scared. I need to tell Chris cause he don't need to be dragging me into his bullshit. I'm just an innocent bystander.

Chris,

"Chris!" Lani yelled walking into the kitchen with a bunch of bags.

"Why you yelling?" I asked looking through one of the bags.

"I saw August..." I raised an eyebrow.

"What you mean?"

"When I was at the food court he came up to me. He asked if I was your girlfriend. I didn't know what to say so I just said yea. Before he left he said I'm watching you." It took me a minute to process that. Why is he after Lani? What the fuck he watching her for?

So many questions but not enough answers....

Something's telling me this nigga up to a big load of bullshit.......
