Chapter:8 recovery

I blinked the sunlight out of my eyes. I looked around the medicine-cat den. Stormcloud must be outside. My body is stiff and I looked at my leg. It was in a plant like brass. Stormcloud then came in "how are you feeling Bluestar?" He asked while checking on my leg. "I'm fine. But I am really sore from the impact of the rocks." I answered softly. "Yeah, you suffered quite a brake. You were lucky not to have lost all your lives. Do you want your kits in here? Moonkit and Fireblaze has been worried sick about you." "Yes send them in." I answered softly. He then left. Ten minutes later six little balls of fur came running in. "Mommy! Your ok. I was so scared, I thought you were gone!" Moonkit said as she hugged my nose and cried. I then nuzzled her to make her feel better. My other kits hugged me as well. "I'm alright kits. I'm not going anywhere. There is no need to cry. As long as I'm breathing I will always be with you." I said to my kits and I licked there tears away. "Mommy your fighting moves were so cool. I want to fight like you when I grow up. I want to be as brave and strong as you mommy." Rainkit and Sunkit said at the same time. "Well if you work and practice hard enough you will be. Now mommies tired and needs sleep, but your able to lay by me if you want." "Yay!" They all said and laid beside me. Moonkit waited until they were settled and laid down in the crook of my neck. Fireblaze came in soon after and laid down by me. And he nuzzled me with his nose. I smiled. I was happy that I had a loving mate and many kits that I was so proud of. Everything I could want or need was what I had now. And we fell asleep as a family. "Aww. They look so cute together." I awoke to Stormcloud's voice. "I'm sorry I woke you Bluestar but your kits are getting restless and they are playing in my storage. No, don't eat that or you will get sick!" "Yah! Listen to Stormcloud or you will destroy all the herbs and if we don't have herbs then our clanmates will not get well." I heard Moonkit say to her litter mates. I sighed this is going to be a long day.
