Chapter15: establishing territories

"Fireclan needs land that has mostly pine trees." Shadestar spoke first once the meeting started. "Rainclan cats like water so we need land that has water on it." Lynxstar said after. "And us plantclan cats like big opened areas." Cornstar said last. "I know my territory very well, so I know of places where you can all be comfortable with. You may choose two cats from your clan and I will lead you to where you might be able to set camps and we will set the territories." I said while in deep thought. The clan leaders nodded their heads in agreement and left the den to fine two cats. "Flowerleaf, Robinwing, please come here." I called once I went out of the den. "Yes." They said when they reached me. "You are coming with me to help the clans find a home where they can stay and Robinwing you know the territory the best so I trust that you might have a few ideas of where the clans will be comfortable." I questioned the young warrior. "Yes I have lots of ideas where they are safe for the kits and elders." Robinwing said proudly. I nodded and said "good. Very good." "Fireblaze!" I called out once more. "Yes Bluestar?" "I would like you to prepare the kits for the apprenticeship ceremony." "Of course. They will be ready." I nodded once more and the clan leaders showed up with there chosen cats and we went out. We started with the pine forests for Fireclan, they found many good places for camps. The same went for the other clans. We returned to camp after and we agreed that they would leave tomorrow at sun high. I then jumped on high rock "All those who are old enough to catch their own prey gather under the high rock for a clan meeting." All the clans gathered. "I think it's time to make some kits apprentices today, Moonkit please step forward. Do you wish to fallow the path of a medicine cat?" "Yes, I do." She looked at me, she purple eyes sparkling like the stars. "Very well from this day forward you will be known as Moonpaw, Stormcloud shall be your mentor. Rainkit from this day forward you will be known as Rainpaw, Robinwing shall be your mentor. Cloudkit from this day forward you will be known as Cloudpaw, Tigerpelt shall be your mentor. Sunkit from this day forward you will be known as Sunpaw, Waterfall shall be your mentor. Dreamkit from this day forward you will be known as Deampaw, Fallenleaves shall be your mentor. Skykit from this day forward you will be known as Skypaw, Woodenbirch shall be your mentor. And last but not least Aria, you may not be a cat or have a clan name, but you are here for a reason and you to shall someday be a warrior of Skyclan. So I shall ask you. Do you want a clan name or are you happy with the name you have now?" "I would like a clan name please, very much." "Very well. From this day forward you shall be known as Whitepaw, I shall be your mentor. My Starclan light all your paths." I then jumped down and nuzzled my kits one last time. Then everyone went off to bed. The clan leaders agreed that we would meet when the moon was full in the clearing were we all met and that the medicine cats will meet every half moon to go to the moon pool. When everything was arranged they all headed off to bed. Fireblaze came and slept by me in the leaders den like he does every night, when I was not in the nursery. It was going to be a long day tomarrow
