I have decided to make a second book. And play a little game. Every chapter I'll leave a coded message, and you have to use the Cesar Cipher to decode it. First one to get it correct in the comments gets a shout out. And I'll probably will change the prize after awhile. But anyways, without further ado, I give you....
Dipper's POV
I rubbed my eyes, trying to remember all the features of y/n. I could remember her e/y eyes that looked at me full of curiosity. Her h/l h/c that shined when light hit it, like the magical girl she was. Her infectious laugh and soothing voice. Even her choice of colors she wore in her clothes; yellow and black.
I sighed, comforted by my memory. I'm ok, I thought. I still remember her well. But, why was I the only one who remembered her!? I had asked Mabel, and she thought I was crazy. I don't want to even look at Bill, in person or in the journal.
The journal itself was even hard to look at.
I sighed again, something I've been doing lately as I got lost in thought much more often the not. I absently watched a girl walk into the shack, pausing in the doorway to look around. She had long brown hair and was wearing a blue sweater, I observed to distract myself. Who wears jeans and a sweater in the summer? Besides Mabel, but she's weird, so.
The girl grabbed a postcard, and Stan made sure that I made her pay a lot for it.
"It's amazing people come here." She muttered after saying a few really strong words about the prices under her breath. She left and some other people came in.
"Huh, she seemed familiar." I thought out loud and moved my head to look out the window. Its been a week, or three I was unsure, since y/n had 'died'. Naturally, i haven't been in the bests of moods lately. Even when we got Gideon thrown in jail, I had to fake being happy. I mean, then it wasn't too hard, i had to jump off a cliff to save Mabel, and when i asked, he didn't even remember y/n. Thank goodness i don't have to worry about him stealing y/n away from me.
No, i had to fake my happiness for Mabel's sake. And for mine as well. I wished I could go back in time and made sure I was the one who was sent into another dimension. Prevent her from being attacked, from Bill sending her away. But, I don't have a time travel tape measure. Anymore.
I wish I knew were y/n is right now. She's alive and on earth somewhere. But i didn't know where. And it's not like she lives in Gravity Falls, either.
"Hey, bro-bro." Mabel came walking up to the counter i sat behind. "You look glum. What's the matter?"
I looked at my twin sister, trying my best smile. She had Waddle's with her, and he was eating the crumbs dropped by Mabel's bag of chips.
"Nothing. Just staring off into space." I sat up in hopes to divert the subject and look less depressed.
"Yep. Makes sense. Staring off into space for weeks." Mabel giggled, but it faulterd when she noticed i was no longer smiling. She put a serious look on her face and came behind the counter. "But, seriously, tell me what's wrong." She hopped up onto the seat next to mine and rested her hand on my shoulder. "I'm your sister. You can tell me anything."
I shook my head no, then looked at the rest of the people on the gift shop. She wouldn't believe me even if i tried to explain it to her again. Worst part about having a sister who won't believe you when you say you had a girl who actually liked you back, she won't believe you when it's actually true.
"It's nothing, really." I answered in a very noticeable flat tone, trying to get Mabel off my case.
"So how was your day." I tried to change the subject. To keep me from thinking, I'll even listen to Mabel ramble on. And she did just that. Starting from the very beging of when she woke up. I nodded along, pretending to pay attention. I wanted to tell her, i really did. I tell Mabel everything, but she just won't believe me. No one will. And the universe continues to move on, bringing one obstacle to me after another. I had vivid nightmares of the glowing eyes, and big huge fists, wrapping themselves around my throat almost every night. I would wake up sweating and hyperventilating, but safe in my room.
"And then now, after this, I'm going into town to get stuff for the party. Want to come?"
The mention of that party caught my attention. It was the first one we had since the zombie incident.
Mabel set Waddles on the floor, she must have picked him up during her ramble, and he walked away.
I looked up at the clock and seen it was 11: 34. My shift would be over in six minutes, but Stan wasn't here so maybe i could leave early.
"Yeah sure."
I got out from behind the counter just as Wendy came in to prepare for her shift. "Hey Mabel, hey Dipper." She greeted us and i told her i had to leave early. She nodded and got to work. And by work, I mean sit behind the counter and read a magazine.
"Come on bro-bro, it's a party lighten up a bit." Mabel nudged my arm a bit when she seen me half lidded staring at some party stuff on a shelf.
I smiled and walked away.
"So what do we need?" I asked grabbing a bag of balloons.
"Normal party stuff. And some glitter for my glitter cannon!" Mabel yelled excitedly and ran off further down the isle. Glitter cannon, i shook my head in thought. We all know what she had meant.
"Ok, that's streamers, glitter, balloons, cups, posters, black lights, funny chair toppings? What? Okay, whatever, party hats, glow sticks, and some food. And a whole bunch of other stuff." I listed as i crossed the items off on the list i made. I had to grab a basket to carry the stuff, and hand half of it to Mabel. She just wanted so much stuff, and she was still getting some more.
I had my focus on the list, making sure i didn't forget anything. I wasn't watching were I was going and i bumped into a person and i fell to the floor.
I kept my head down, in utter embarrassment and struggled to manage out an apology. But whoever i ran into shouted out in anger before i could form words.
"Hey, watch where your going!"
"I-i-im sorry-" I looked into the e/c eyes of someone I longed to see.
"Y/n!?"
Yay. Sorry it's so short. Hay, at least it's something, right. Well, you found the love of your life again. Victory! Or is it?
