Old Six Fingers. That's what my dad called him. Sometimes Sixer or Fordsy. When I asked, I would just refer to him as Ford. That’s what I heard most people called him anyways. My dad told me how he tried to trick him. But he didn't go into detail, just that once he met mom and they had me, his plans changed. His view of how he would treat the world changed.

Even so, seeing this guy standing in front of me the glow of the broken portal behind him, sent of waves of alarms in my mind. He can't find out I'm a Cipher, he can't find out I'm a demon, he can't know who I am. He feared and hated my father, I can only imagine what he'd do to me.

"Finally. After all these long years of waiting, your actually here. " Stan said in awe walking up to his long lost twin brother, opening up his arms for a hug. "Brother!"

His grateful welcome home was returned with a sucker punch to the check. Stan recoiled and rubbed his injured cheek.  "Ow! What the heck was that for?!"

"That was an insanely risky move, restarting the portal!" His twin scolded him. "Didn't you read my warnings?"

"Warnings, schmarnings." Stan brushed off his twin's accusations. "How's about maybe a thanks for saving you from what appears to be, " he paused to observe Ford's appearance, his dark raggedy coat and noticeable intimidating look to it all, "I don't know, some kind of sci-fi sideburn dimension?"

Ford looked shocked but that quickly turned to rage. "Thank you?" He managed to get out before blowing into yelling, "You really think I'm gonna thank you after what you did thirty years ago!!"

I grabbed Dipper's hand to feel secure, but he didnt notice. He was wide eyed, mouth gaped looking at the author of the journals. The man he has been searching for this whole summer. The man that has the answers to numerous questions.... The man that could hurt me...

As the two began to fight and struggle against one another, the clear winner being Ford, I debated trying to sneak out or stay and find out what's happening now. Mabel spoke before I could fully decide my next step.

"Hey,  hi. Mabel here." She stepped forth to break up their fight. "Quick question: What the heck is going on here!?"

Ford released his hold on Stan and adjusted his posture quickly, fixing his glasses as he spoke. "Stan, you didn't tell me there were children down here." He looked at each of us, not paying an extra secound on me thankfully. Instead he paused on Soos. "And some sort of large, hairless gopher?"

Soos chuckled. "I get that a lot."

Disregarding what Soos said, which was probably just for some comedic relief, Stan gestured to Dipper and Mabel. "Those two are your family, Pointdexter. Shermy's grandkids."

Ford's eyes lit up at the mention of family. "I-I have a niece and nephew?" he knelt down by Mabel and held out his hand to shake. She happily obliged. "Greetings. Do kids still say greetings? I haven't been in this dimension for a really long time."

"Whoa, a six fingered handshake. That's a finger freindlier then normal." Mabel gasped in amazement. I love how little things like that still excited her, even after what she has learned about me.

"Heh Heh. I like this kid, she's weird." Ford chuckled. Pacifica crept up behind me,  almost scaring me. She had been so quiet, that for a moment I forgot she was here. And she still didn't say anything, just looked at the mysterious older man that had emerged from the machine that was apparently supposed to destroy to world.

Dipper on the other hand, had just finally been able to spit out some words. "I-i can't believe it. You're the author of the journals!" His hand squeezed mine a little tighter.

"You've read my journals?" Ford pulled out his journal that he had put in his coat and smiled. Dipper nodded slightly then let go of my hand to use his hands to have a freak out moment. "I haven't just read them; I've lived them!" he paced around in circles, "I've been waiting  for so long to meet you! I-i don't know what to say, I have so many questions!" He paused as he started hyperventilating. "Oohh I think I'm gonna through up!" He leaned over and placed his hand on the wall for support. Pacifica gagged and backed away. I held his hand and tried to help him out. Mabel came over as well and started patting his back. "Hmmpf! No no, false alarm. Hmmpf! Just gotta ride it out."

"Listen, there'll be time for introductions later," Ford looked at me and Pacifica, "Stan, are there any security breaches? Does anyone else know about the portal?" he turned to his brother who had his arms crossed.

"No, just us." He answered.

"Lier." Pacifica called out.

"Okay, maybe the entire U. S. Government." Stan glared at her and noticed her wig had fallen off reveling get blond hair. I bit my lip hoping the rest of her disguise would still be enough to obscure her true identity.

"The what!?" Ford shouted clearly angry and worried. He ran to the glass window that showed the lab that we first came through. He looked in for a moment and backed away pinching the bridge of his nose. “Okay, its all right. We’ve got a while before they find this room. We just gotta lay low and think of a plan.” He walked away flipping through the pages of one of his journal and jotted something down on one of the pages. I took a nervous step back when he came my way. He didn’t notice though.

“Well, it looks like we’re stuck down here for a while.” Mabel teeter totted on her feet as she spoke. Pacifica groaned at what she said and I looked up at the ceiling wishing I wasn’t stuck down here, too. “Who wants to tell us their entire mysterious backstory?”

“Yes, I have some questions about this myself, Stanley.” Ford glanced back at his brother. We all looked at Stan confused at what his brother called him. “Stanley?” I asked him, Stan looking at me shocked for a second. “But your name is Stanford.” Mabel's voice showed a bit of hesitation of saying what she thought.

Ford suddenly closed the book. “Wait, you took my name!? What have you been doing all theses years you knucklehead!”He raised his voice and looked as if he would slap Stan. But then at that time, almost everybody did. I wasn’t exactly surprised, he was a con artist after all and had multiple identities. Just that he took his brothers name didn’t make sense.

“Yeah, Grunkle Stan no more lies!” Dipper huffed. “You owe us some answers: What’s the deal with this portal? Why did you keep this a secret?”

Pacifica suddenly looked very interested in what was about to unfold, lives for drama I tell ya’. “And what happened between you and your brother?” Mabel added to the stack of questions everyone had for Stanley, the man of mystery. “I’d like to know how you even had enough money to build all of this, but not make your living space look decent?” Pacifica placed her hands on her hips and demanded an answer with her attitude. I elbowed her in the side to tell her that wasn’t important at the moment.

“I hope all of this aligns exactly with my fanfics, Stan. If not, I’ll, be very disappointed.” Soos chimmed in. We all closed in on Stan, like vultures to roadkill, as he took a step back and started to speak. “Okay okay, I guess I have a lot of explaining to do.” He rubbed the back of his head.

“Uhh Yeah!” Pacifica rolled her eyes. I elbowed her again.

“It all started a life time ago…”

After what felt like thirty minutes of explaining and the two elder twins filling in some major holes in their backstory, we all took a moment to process everything. Soos was quiet, looking at Stan differently. I looked at Ford with a little less fear, mostly because by that time I had re-convinced myself that helping Stan get his brother was indeed the right thing to do.

“So all this time you were just trying to save your brother?” Dipper sighed and I could tell he felt horrible, guilt was coming off of him I could feel it. “Grunkle Stan, I’m so sorry I didn’t believe you.” I wrapped my arm around him to make him feel better.

“It’s ok kid, I probably wouldn’t have believed me either.” Stan tried to make Dipper and himself feel better.

“I heard talking! It’s coming from downstairs!” A voice called from above.

“Shi-.” I exclaimed, Dipper covering my mouth quickly. My shoulders slumped and I raised a brow at him. He shook his head as Stan ”Oh no, it’s too late. The agents are comin’ for us!”

“What do we do?” Mabel asked.

“Y/n, you can do something!” Pacific turned to me and I tilted m head in confusion. I moved Dippers hand aside to ask what she meant but she didn’t give me any time to speak. “Make them disappear or go away, or just forget this entire thing altogether!”

I nervously glanced up at Ford and he was looking at me with a raised eyebrow. Everyone was, those who didn’t know what I could do that is.

“What does she mean by that?” Ford turned to me with his eyebrow raised. I stammered, “She-she means t-t-that-that..” my eyes darted around trying to find something. Dipper quickly added, at an unnecessary volume, “The memory gun! That’s what she meant, y/n told her about the memory gun! We can use it!” He dug out the said memory gun and showed it off to Ford. I breathed a sigh of relief and Dipper winked at me.

“Ford quickly took it from his hands and examined it.

“Uhh, a what?” Pacifica leaned in and whispered to me. “Tell you later.”

“Of course! I don’t know how you got a hold of one of these but, this is perfect!” Ford then ran into the lab part with the gun, leaving us little choice but to fallow him. He plugged some stuff into the gun and muttered about what he was doing. I looked at the monitoring screens and seen that the agents were getting closer to finding where we were.

“Now everybody plug your ears! Get down now!” Ford shouted as we all held our hands over our ears and bent down. I heard a ringing sound that went on for a couple of seconds before silencing. I opened my eyes and seen that it was ok to go out now.

We all waited in the shack as Ford went out and talked to the agents. It was at that time I explained some things to Pacifica, we got to get Stan to agree that he wouldn’t tell anyone that Pacifica was living with me (at a certain price) and Soos was just easily persuaded. He’s a nice fellow, he agreed to help us hide her identity. He knew somethings to make her disguise a bit more believable.

Once the coast was clear we all went outside, the two twins running to their newly found great uncle. “Great uncle Stanford that was amazing!” Mabel declared excitedly, Dipper sharing the same enthusiasm. The rest of us stood by the doorway, giving the stranger some space. “Let’s not get to excited, it was serviceable.” Stan spitefully muttered crossing his arms.

“Thanks kids. But please, call me Ford.” He chuckled looking down at the two. “Sure uh thanks, Great Uncle Ford.” Dipper rubbed the back of his head and took out a pen and notepad from his vest. “So uh, do you mind if I ask you a couple billion questions about gravity falls?”

Ford backed away a step, unable to respond to Dipper's fanboish behaviors. I chuckled a little, understanding how I felt at first. He loved when I knew plenty more about the monsters in gravity falls then the journals revealed and would pester me with questions until I was able to shut him up, usually by kissing him and laughing at him when he grew a deep burgundy and was momentarily mute.

“Ok kids, it’s been a long day and me and my brother have a lot to talk about. So how’s about you two hit the hay?” Stan stepped forth, a little agitated by the kids sudden interest in his brother over him. But can he really blame them, he’s the author of the journals, a complete mystery, and he’s related to them.

“But it’s the author of the journals!” Dipper argued back. I’ve been waiting so long to ask questions about-“

Stan interrupted him by practically shoving the twins away from his own, repeating what he ordered, “I said, ‘hit the hay’!”

They both walked back into the shack, a little hurt, and the rest of us three were standing in there kinda awkwardly. “I’ll just let myself out.” Soos took a few steps to the right and then quickly ran off calling someone on the phone. “Same with us.” I awkwardly smiled and hurriedly walked away. “Uh, actually I want some questions answered and- Whoa Hey!” Pacifica stayed behind and was acting like…well….like Pacifica so I had to drag her away before she could finish her demands.

“That was rather rude of you.” She complained pulling her hand free from mine. We had walked further away from the shack at that point and she got the message that she shouldn’t have done that, I could tell from how she didn’t really yell at me for pestering the two older gentleman with question, just that I tore her away unannounced.

“Yeah, well it’s not my priority right now.” I paused to yawn and stretched out my arms. “I just wanna go home and sleep for a few days, this was too much stress.”

“I know, it’s gonna cause some major issues for me down the road.” Pacifica tugged on her hair nervously. That’s when she noticed her wig wasn’t on and that it was probably still down in the shacks basement.

“Crap! I can’t go into town like this!”

“Don’t worry.” I snapped my fingers and a small portal appeared in front of us. Pacifica laughed, “Thank goodness I have a friend like you.”

I smiled and did a little pose raising my arms and snag, “‘Cause I’m the friend you neeeeed!”

Pacifica looked at me confused, not getting the reference I added (some of you will get it though) and just rolled her eyes and jumped through the portal. I adjusted a fake top hat and jumped in after her.

I will love and fallow anyone who gets the reference though.

Please can I just do my job here without you barging in all the time?

Haha! Nope!

Ugh. Sorry for the late update, all her fault trust me. She’s letting other projects and school distract her.

Um, excuse me, I’m sorry if that fact that I have a future I need to prepare for is an inconvenience for you, Star.

I don’t want an apology, because that does literally nothing but make the apologizer feel better about themselves and it gets rid of their guilt but doesn’t fix the mistakes that they make.

….this goes deeper then the late Chapter, huh?

Shut up. Until next time, poor readers. I’ll see you in your nightmares.
