I was hanging over at the mystery shack again, watching TV wth Dipper. Ghost Harassers was coming on, a full marathon, too! I was excited and so was Dipper. He was really happy that I had my memories back. And I didn't want to ruin that by telling him about my nightmares. And that I know who that dark version of me is. I'd give it some time. Just a little longer.

"Be strong bladder, we're not moving 'till sunset." Dipper said patting his belly. I laughed and kept my eyes fixed on the TV. The show was interrupted by the news. "We interrupt this program to bring you breaking news!" Toby Determined said.

"Ahhh, what?" Me and Dipper complained. "Its starting!" Mabel yelled jumping onto the chair with me and Dipper still on it. "Turn it up!" Candy yelled joining her. "Make room for Grenda." "Make room for us!" I yelled climbing out of the pile of people on the couch.

"Sorry y/t/n." Candy said but Mabel and Grenda quickly hushed her before I could tell her to use my real name instead of my YouTuber name.

"Well, tonight's the night, but I've been out here for days!" The camera pulled out of close view and showed Toby wearing no pants and a rip shirt that covered the part no one wanted to see. "The Northwest family's annual high-society shindig ball soiree is here."

"Northwests." I growled. I hated that family, but mostly their daughter. There once was a time where I thought of her as a friend. Now? I hope that the being with 88 different heads would separate her 88 different times."And even though common folk aren't let in, that wont stop us from camping out for a peek at the fanciness.""ooh!" The three girls were now laying on the ground in front of the TV. "Okay, can somebody please explain why people care about this?" Dipper complained. I was happy we had the same feeling towards this whole event. "Its just some stupid party for rich stuck up people that would soon use someone for their fame or fortune then actually make friends with them." I clenched my jaw thinking about Pacifica. "But the have rich boys." Grenda ignored what I had said, practically completely. "They say each gift basket has a live quail inside." Mabel contributed to the ignoring me factor, too."Give me your life, Pacifica." Candy dropped herself on the tv screen, which showed an image of Pacifica in a dress with makeup waving at a crowd. I think I was there to see that thing."Guys, in case you've already forgotten, Pacifica Northwest is the worst." A knock on the door interrupted him. I moved over a little to let him get up. "And that's not just jealousy talking. I'd say that to her face." He opened the door and I seen Pacifica standing there, sunglasses on with a purple cloth wrapped around her head, trying to hide who she is. She couldn't, really."I need your help." She said. "You're the worst." Dipper slammed the door. I laughed as Mabel, Candy and Grenda gasped with horror. Dipper pointed back at the door and said, "See." Pacifica knocked at the door again. Dipper reluctantly opened it. "Look, you think it's easy for me to come here? I don't want to be seen in this hovel." She shooed some flys away. "But there's something haunting Northwest Manor. If you don't help me, the party could be ruined.""The lumberjack." I whispered to myself. My dad told me about the lumberjack who was killed in a mud slide and cursed the northwest's. Now she has my attention, for once. "And why should I trust you? All you've ever done is try to humiliate me and Mabel." Dipper crossed his arms and Pacifica straightened her stance. "Just name your price, okay? I'll give you anything." "Your head on a silver platter?" I muttered to myself."Hi Pacifica!" Mabel's voice made me look up. She was standing by the door and grabbed Dipper's shoulder. "Excuse us."She dragged him out of the doorway and held him at arms length. "Dipper, don't you see what this means? If you help Pacifica, you could get us invites to the greatest party of all time!" "What? Mabel, this is Pacifica we're talking about." Dipper tried reasoning with her. I've learned from experience not to reason with a Mabel. She'll win, even if your right. That's the power of Mabel."But its Candy and Grenda's dream.""Dream." They echoed. Dipper looked at me, and I didn't have to read his thoughts to know that he was asking for my help. "Sorry Dip, but this ghost sounds like fun." He sighed and turned back to Pacifica. He leaned against the doorframe and held out a hand. "Fine, I'll bust your ghost." Pacifica was about to shake his hand to seal the deal, but Dipper pulled away quickly. "But, in exchange, I'll need four tickets to the party." Pacifica growled and dug in her bag. "Fine, your just lucky I'm desperate." She pulled out four invitations that shined like gold. Pretty."Whoo! Desperate, desperate, desperate!" The girl's chanted together. "Grenda, get the glue gun! We're making dresses!"This seems like it'll be an interesting evening. A ghost, a party, Pacifica and my little Dips. What could wrong? Pacifica had a limo pick us up. She was dressed in a purple dress with dark wool at the sleeves and at the end of the dress. Mabel was wearing a big fluffy pink dress with roses and a small pink hat with hear designs at the top. Candy was wearing a rather long light blue dress and her hair was up and a fancy way. Grenda was wearing a tight golden dress with her hair up in a bun and she also had a pearl necklace. I was wearing black pants and a yellow dress shirt with a black bow-tie. That was my attempt at fanciness. I've had to run in a big fancy dress with high heels at a dance before, and it didn't end well. That's my reasoning. Dips was wearing his usual vest shirt and shorts. But he had a bag full of paranormal stuff to help. When we arrived, I could hear the cheers of the townspeople who had gathered at the gates for days. We pulled up to the unnecessary number of stairs and walked to the front door. The door was huge, by the way."Welcome to Northwest Mannor, dorks. Try not to touch anything." Pacifica said as the doors opened. Everyone was excited and dumbfounded. I've seen this place a couple times, so it wasn't a big deal for me. Really sparkly and shinny place. Overly decorated, too. But rich jerks are rich jerks, so what are ya' gonna do?Mabel, Candy and Grenda immediately ran off with their eyes lit up. Dipper and I went to work. This ghost should be easy. Probably should have paid attention to when my dad was talking about his little prophesy thing. Hearing the exact words could be key in helping us out. "Ah, if it isn't the man of the hour. And-" Preston stopped talking when his eyes fell upon me. "Y/n l/n. What a pleasant surprise.""Wish I could say the same thing." I gave a sarcastic smile. Preston looked to his daughter for an explanation. "Dipper insisted that he works with her, or not at all." Pacifica gave me a dirty look at the end of the sentence and I stuck out my tongue."Well then, hopefully both of you can help us with our little situation-" He leaned in closer to avoid anyone from hearing him. Leave it to the Northwest to only care about their reputation. "Before the guests arrive in an hour.""We'll do our best." Dipper said as I saluted sarcastically. We walked away from the daughter and father and looked around. "This place is big." Dipper said while picking at his teeth. I slapped his hand. "Don't do that. You'll make a fool of yourself." I said in my best fancy a young voice. "This is a fancy party after all, Pine Tree.""Sorry Miss. Cipher." Dipper said in his best voice. We've made a joke that when I call him Pine Tree he calls me Cipher. We both giggled at it before Pacifica told us to fallow her. We did as told and she lead us to a hallway dedicated to clothes and such. She shoved Dipper into a changing room with a tuxedo. She handed me a really long a frilly dress. Based on what happened last time, I didn't want it."Just take it and get changed." She shoved me into a changing room with the dress. "Whatever" I mumbled. I put it on and looked in the mirror. I tilted my head looking at my figure. I didn't look bad. Could use some changes. "Big changes."I shifted my view from my dress to my reflection again. My skin was darkened, my hair almost completely golden and my eyes resembled cat eyes. I immediately knew who this was. The darker side to me. The completely demon part. The one that's bad, evil and crazy. I've had enough power and control to shove her in the back of my head for a long time, but my recent memories lose and lack of using my powers made her stronger. Able to speak, to me and out loud. She pulls little things like this to shake me up, make me lose my concentration. It works some times."At least we agree on one thing." I snapped my fingers and the colors changed to black and gold. It was now the length I preferred and style, too. Pacifica will be confused, but then she knows I have my ways to get around in this mansion without her noticing. Hidden rooms and passageways. Some Pacifica doesn't even know about!"That's more our style." Darker me said twirling in the mirror. "My style. That's more my style. You are not included." I sternly said gathering my other clothes. I picked up the bow tie and clipped it onto my dress. That's better. "Don't be mean, y/n. I'm a part of you. Embrace it. I won't be going anywhere anytime soon.""Shut it." I glared at my reflection before leaving. Pacifica was waiting in between my changing room and Dipper's. He hasn't came out yet, so that left me and Pacifica."What happened to the dress I gave you?" Pacifica asked. I shrugged. "It was accidentally destroyed with great rage." I gave an innocent smile, putting my hand behind my back. "What?!" She yelled. "Geesh, take a joke." I held up a newly made dress that looked exactly like the one she handed me. She grabbed it and then inspected it. My magic doesn't have flaws, Pacifica.Dipper through open the curtain to revel what he was wearing. He looked mature and handsome, but also very uncomfortable. "Ugh, its like this collar is strangling me." He pulled it way from his neck and adjusted it. His bow tie was untied, I realized. "How do you think your impressing with this...stuff?" His voiced trailed off when I approached him. I started to tie his bow tie for him. He kept staring at me, and I pretended not to noice."Um, everyone. You wouldn't understand." Pacifica either didn't notice or ignored Dipper being distracted. "High standards are what make the Northwest family great." She gestured to the paintings of her family history. Ahem, fake! Only she doesn't know that."Funny I thought it was lying about founding the town." Dipper broke from his state in order to say that. I held in a laugh and Dipper looked at me to see if what he had said had effected me in any way. "Hurry up!" Pacifica yelled, not bothering to reply to Dip's comment. I rolled my eyes as we hurried over to her. She lead us through the halls, into parts that I didn't even know. She opened two large sets of doors into a dimly lit room with a lot of animal heads mounted on the walls. A fireplace was in the center of the wall, above it a picture of a lumberjack. I wonder if that's him. "This is the main room where it's been happening." She said leading us in. Chills ran through my spin as soon as I stepped through the door. Bad! Bad! Bad! Bad! Bad! He's here. I know it."Yep, this looks like the kind of room that would be haunted, all right." Dipper said walking in further. I reached out to grab him, but I missed. He continued to speak. "I wouldn't be worried, though. Ghosts fall under a ten-category scale. Falling plates sound like a category one."It's not a one, it's a ten Dipper! I mentally screamed at him. My panicked mind couldn't concentrate enough to contact him mentally, or telepathically. Which everyone is correct."So what? Are you going to bore him back into the afterlife by reading from this book?" Pacifica asked and Dipper pulled the book away from her offended. Then he seen me still standing in the doorway."What's the matter y/n?" "Bad." I said, feeling the negative energy rise. I heard her laugh in my head, knowing very well that this negative energy fuels her power. "Bad, bad, bad. Leave, now." Dipper might have had listened to me, but his E.M.F reader started being and flashing. He took it out of his bag and went around the room. I had to get them out, even if I had to drag them. Push down your fear and grab him. And Pacifica, too, I guess.I stepped in the room and quickly ran over to Dipper. I grabbed his arm tightly but before I could run I seen that the lumber jack in the painting was gone. "Oh no." I whispered as Dipper noticed it, too. "Uhhh, guys?" He took a step back, me going along with him. I heard Pacifica scream and I seen why. The stuffed animal heads had red liquid dripping from their mouths. Their eyes glowed red and the spoke in union, "Ancient sins. Ancient sins. Ancient sins.""Dipper, what is this?" Pacifica huddled by us. "It's a category ten." He said, me mentally saying 'told ya so.'"Ancient blood and blackened skies. The forest dark shall once more rise."The animals said. "What do we do, what do we do." Pacifica asked frantically. "This is bad, this is bad." I said at the same time as her."Don't worry, it cant get worse than this right?" Dipper looked at me for reassurance. I had none. I knew this can get bad, as curses usually do. And like I predicted, it did get worse. The flames from the fireplace erupted as a skeletal figure crawled out growing skin and clothes as he stood. We ran and dove under a table completely terrified. The guy had bluish tint to his skin and a his rib cage shown through his torn overalls. "I smell, a Northwest!" He said in a loud booming voice as his beard and hair appeared in blue flames. His eyes glowed yellow."Come out, come out, where ever you are." He dragged his axe through the floorboards and walked past us. This was like a scene from a horror movie. Only this time, it's not all special effects."Hurry and do something. Read through your dumb book!" Pacifica whispered shouted at us. "I'm looking, and it's not dumb, okay!" He whispered shouted back flipping through the pages. "This book is gonna save our lives." I tried thinking about the ghost. He came from a painting, so obviously a silver mirror. But then if we cant find one, he has his prophecy thing he said when he died. Find out what that was, and boom. Save us. "Alright, here we go." Dipper said and pulled out his portable black light. He had the journal open to the level 10 ghost's page. "Advice." He shown the light onto the blank spot, lighting up the invisible words. But that wasn't what I'd hoped for. The words read: Beg for mercy."Seriously." He groaned as the table was moved from above us. The lumberjack was towering over us, holding the axe above his head ready to bring the blade down on us. We screamed and ran out of there. The axe splintered the wood in the very spot we where hiding. "You shouldn't have come here!" He shouted. "I wish I hadn't came here, either buddy!" I yelled at him, Dipper grabbing wrist and leading me out of the room. "Come on y/n!""This way!" Pacifica yelled leading us down the hallway. We heard the ghost guy fallowing us closely behind. We had to steer clear of the party, Pacifica said so. But to also keep the people there from being harmed. I knew she didn't care about them as much as she said she did. "Hurry!" She yelled and lead us through her massive courtyard. "Through the garden!" We ran through the mud trying to dodge the plants and peacocks. "Dipper look out!" I grabbed him by the arm to keep him from running into a peacock. He was glued to his journal, reading each word he deemed important. I took a deep breath and concentrated while trying to keep an eye on where we were going.'Haunted painting Dipper!' I yelled at him. I wanted to see if he could hear me and know what I was doing. If Pacifica heard me say that and turned to see that Dipper wasn't on that page she might think up something close enough to the truth."Haunted painting can only be trapped by a silver mirror!" Dipper said relived. He looked at me and winked before looking back ahead. Yes he got it! This new thing should come in handy."Silver mirror straight ahead!" I yelled speeding up going right past Pacifica. I was about to step in the room but she had grabbed my ram and pulled me back. "Wait! Don't go in there! This room has my parents' favorite carpet pattern." She looked between me and Dipper. "They'll lose it if we tracked mud in there."I looked at my shoes and seen they had mud on the bottom, still fresh. Then I noticed the mud trail we left behind. "But we need it!" I tried to get into the room but Pacifica held her grip on me. "We can find another one." Dipper then made a move to run into the room but Pacifica grabbed him as well and held us both back. She's really strong for her structure."We don't have time for this, let us through!" He tried to pry his collar out of Pacifica's hands. "No, my parents will kill me." She tugged us back. The bad feeling that came from being around that ghost stated creeping up on me. He was coming closer now, I could sense it. "Why are you so afraid of your parents." Dipper asked, but I almost didn't hear him. I had my eyes looking down the hallway, waiting for the ghost to appear. I was pushed and couldn't keep my balance. Pacifica lost her grip on me and I instinctively held onto Dipper for support. But that didn't work. We all started falling and where about to crash into a painting. Instead, though, we went right through it. I was still holding onto Dipper's shirt collar when I seen he had landed on top of me. He hadn't realized and was trying to get up. Until he noticed my hand and looked down into my eyes. His cheeks went red real fast and I fought the urge to laugh. "Hi, how you doing?~" I gave a smug smile and heard Pacifica groan. "Get a room." She muttered and stood up. That's when we looked around. From my angle, we where in a dark room with many large objects covered in sheets. Dipper stood and help me up as Pacifica said, "This is weird, I didn't even know there was a room here.""Hopefully the ghost doesn't either." Dipper looked around. I froze feeling that bad sensation very strongly know. "Yeah, maybe we're safe." Pacifica brushed her hair to the side. A flash vision of the ghost went through my head and before I knew it I was running to her side. She noticed as soon as I tackled her. The ghost shot from behind the sheet and started after us. "Your fate is sealed!" He yelled and I through my arm up and shot an invisible gust of wind at the ghost. He stumbled back and I helped Pacifica to her feet as fast as we could. The ghost had regained his balance again and was flying towards us shouting, "Prepare to die, Northwest!" We screamed I put myself in front of Pacifica to protect her. The next thing I knew I was falling, rolling down something. I felt trapped inside something I couldn't tell what it was, but I wasn't alone falling. I could feel someone next to me, I assumed it was Pacifica.Once we stopped, I tried to get up. A curtain was on my back and I seen that Dipper and Pacifica rolled down with me. Dipper was holding a small hand held mirror that was silver. The two things connected in my head. Dipper caught the ghost!"Did you get him?" Pacifica asked. Dipper looked at the glass as I heard a voice yell, "No! Free me!" We all cheered and Pacifica hugged Dipper. We all froze at her sudden outburst of positive emotion. She realized what she did and quickly let go of him. Dipper rubbed the back of his neck as I stood a little closer to him. Mine."Can I pay you to pretend that never happened?" She handed him a dollar bill. I held out my hand as she gave me one, too. With no sarcastic remark or groan. I'd hate to say I'm proud of her."Well, lets go tell your parents that we've got him." Dipper cleared his throat. He lead the way inside. I was walking along side Pacifica. You know that awkward elevator silence? Times that by a million and you'll get a good feeling of what the mood was between me and her."Soo...." She clapped her hands together. "You jumped in front of me when the ghost was charging.""Yeah, i guess I did." I folded my arms behind my back. Please don't ask why, please don't ask why, please don't ask why."Why?"Dang it. I cleared my throat and shrugged. "Because it was the right thing to do. I actually care about others.....And I guess... you, too." I tried to avoid eye contact with her and that smug-ish smile. "Don't look into it." With that I hurried to Dipper's side. After we found Pacifica's parents, they took us outside to discus the "unwanted matter" out of earshot of anybody in the party. Their words, not mine."Well, Pacifica, you really found the right people for the job." Preston said eyeing me. I knew he didn't mean that towards me. Like I gave a crap about what he thought."We can't thank you enough." Pacifica's mother said and had a butler shake our hands instead of them. "That's enough." He stopped."Hey, just holdin' up my end of the deal." Dipper said as we started walking away. The further I get away from those stupid adults, the better."You guys leaving already?" Pacifica stopped us. "You're at the worlds best party, dummies." "We have to take care of the ghost, Pacifica. Work comes first." I said about to continue walking off. But Dipper held me by my wrist, telling me to wait. "Y/n, you should stay and have fun. I'll take care of the ghost.""You sure?""Yeah, its only a category ten ghost after all. I've dealt with worse." He tried to act cool and ended up walking into a pillar. "Ow!" Dips started blushing when he seen me giggling at his mishap. "Category ten." He quickly walked off and I heard his mind saying how embarrassing that was."So, Dipper." Pacifica turned to me. "How long has that been going on?"My cheeks got warm when I remembered the first time we shared our feelings. When I kinda reveled who I was and ran off, but that's beside the point. "Longer than you'd think." I said, taking in account how I re-met him in this now permanent timeline."Did you ever tell f/n?" She asked as we started walking back to the party. I nodded. "Yeah, after a little bit. Lately though she's been in places with no cell service.""Where is she now?""Somewhere in Asia. Yesterday she said she's going to the Great Wall soon, so maybe china?""I love those silky dresses they wore.""I know, so soft. You have to feel this silk blanket f/n sent me, I feel like a queen when I'm sleeping. And I'm less of a jerk when I wake up." I laughed."Yeah, just waking up y/n was something I'd don't want to see again." She lead me through the hallway. "I'm lucky that all you can eat breakfast improved your mood.""That was awesome. If I could, I would sleepover again. I had a great time." My smile faltered when I remembered what happened just shortly after. My face went emotionless and I looked at the floor."Look, I'm sorry. I really am. I had fun being your friend." Pacifica stopped me. I didn't look at her. If she had fun, then why did she lie and use my fame to make herself better in wealth? A friend would never do that."I had fun, too, but then you went and did what you do Northwests do. Lie and cheat!" My voice broke a little and I cursed myself mentally for it. "I had no choice. My parents-""You always have a choice, Pacifica. Do what they want, or what you want. Right or wrong." I tried to walk away, getting sad and mad at the same time always helps me trying to logically come to conclusions like my dad always told me. (Sarcasm) Not that I listened, aways.Pacifica quickly wrapped me in her arms and hugged me tightly. I gasped and stiffened. I slowly and shakily hugged her back. I heard her gasp for air as she hugged me a little tighter. Was she crying? I've never seen that before."I've missed you." She said quietly, her voice braking. I felt myself on the edge of tears, too. "I've missed you, too.""If you tell anyone I was crying," she pulled away from me and wiped away her tears, "I'm going to deny it. But I really did miss you and I was hoping to make things better tonight.""A sorry would help."I wiped my watery eyes as well. She smiled and nodded. "I'm sorry, for everything y/n. And I've changed. Trust me."I nodded. "I'll trust you, Pacifica." After that we went back to the party room and caught up. I ate a lot of the chocolate and other sweets. Sugar rush!!!!!!!!! I'm surprised I haven't seen Mabel running around high on sugar, either. Speaking of which, where is she?"Hey, have you seen Mabel?" I asked Pacifica before taking a sip of punch. She looked around but then shook her head no. "Nah. I don't see her." I thought for a moment then I seen a fuzzy image of her and someone else. Either her friends or some guy she's flirting with. I couldn't see clearly. Don't have a strong mental connection (it's hard connecting with someone mentally like that when their thoughts are everywhere) like I do with Dipper, my mom, Shawn and p/n. I could probably find f/n, too, but I haven't tried it yet."She's ok." I muttered. Just got a weird feeling. Something's coming. But Dipper is very capable. He can get rid of that ghost like it's nothing. So then, what could it be? My eyes wandered, searching for any other threats. Then I seen Pacifica. She was looking into her cup, but that isn't what she saw. Her mind was else where, focusing on something that troubled her. She looked concerned, even guilty. Could the threat be her? No, don't think that. She probably doesn't like the taste of the punch. It is kinda different, that's for sure. She sounded sorry and sincere. And I could tell she meant what she said, so stop being paranoid y/n.Pacifica left after a moment when we saw her dad motion for her to come to him. She said she'd be back in a moment, but I didn't want to stand still. So instead I started walking around and looked at the new details and tapestries. That got boring quick. There wasn't much that was new, anyways. I looked outside and seen the moon and stars. I wonder how Dips doing with the exorcism. It is a level ten ghost, so it would be as easy as what he's used to. I believe he's fully capable, but still.I saw a bright thing move outside and I focused on it. It was Pacifica. What was she doing outside? And was she floating? I quickly realized it was a reflection. The real Pacifica was inside the mansion, not outside. She looked around her and fallowed a darker reflection. It was her dad. I watched their reflections go into a room. Why did they make sure no one was watching first? What are they up to?I turned around and quickly made my way over to the door. I looked around, too, to make sure no one was watching. No one was. I like it how no one notices things like these. Well, apart from yours truly. Always works out in the end. More or less, anyways.I snapped my fingers to make myself invisible. I knew I could still see myself, but others can't. Easy to spy on people with. Don't worry. I don't do anything weird with this power. I'm a very responsible person. (Imma leave that up to you if you used sarcasm or not)I appeared inside the room and seen Pacifica standing in front of her father, head down and hands folded. Her father had his hand on his hips and was talking down to her. "Did it work?" He asked.Pacifica nodded but kept her eyes on the floor. She looked kinda upset about something."Good. Now that the dreaded curse and ghost are gone, we can focus on other important matters. How we are going to use y/n for our benefit." He tapped his chin and looked up at the ceiling as he thought. Pacifica remained silent.I held in my rising anger. Benefit? No. I won't believe this again. Pacifica has to say something."We can make her work for us. Draw more money in and promote the family name. That's a real win, Pacifica. You just need to keep her on board. Don't mess up like you did before, you hear me?" He bent down and gave Pacifica a death stare."Yes, father." She said looking him in eye. I straightened up and let out a huff. Again. The only reason she said she was sorry so she could get what they wanted. And I believed her! I fell for it again! Not this time Pacifica. Not this time Preston. Never again Northwest's! I swear on Cipher's name!"Now, I have to go meet with the mayor. I trust you won't let me down again?" Preston walked past me and to the door. He looked over his shoulder at his daughter, head held high."I won't." Pacifica said, filled with determination. I growled under my breath at her."Good." With that, he left. The door was left a little ajar for her, I guessed. But I didn't stick around to see if it was. I slipped out of the room without looking back at the lier. I made myself visible when I was a little ways away from the door. I kept muttering to myself about how Pacifica lied and cursed the Northwest's for generations to come.I seen Preston walking away and I stormed towards him. When I got into the room he was at, I got ready to scream at him. Then I heard Dipper.'Y/n, you would not believe what the Northwest's did this time.'He sounded angry, too. Only problem was, I couldn't see him. He wasn't here, and I couldn't see him. I quietly slipped out of the room, thanking luck that no one noticed I was in the room. I shut my eyes and seen Dipper storming down a dirt path, looking as furious as I felt.'What happened?' I asked.'The ghost was only here to get vengeance. He helped build this mansion, and in return the Northwest's said they'd throw a grand party for everyone. But then they locked out the townspeople instead! And all the Northwest's have to do now, is open the gates to everyone.''And instead, they made us do the work to rid the ghost so they can keep people out of here.' I understood now. 'Just so they don't have any un-rich or un-famous people at their stupid party!''I'll be there in a second.' He growled. I cut off our mental connection and opened my eyes. I curled my hands into fists and stomped my foot. I didn't even care when I seen that my anger sent out a wave of invisible energy so powerful it exploded some glasses and plates. "That means the ghost is gone, now right?"I looked over and seen Pacifica walking over to me. I didn't answer. She didn't see my anger, her eyes were locked onto the broken glasses already being cleaned up by some butlers. Before she could even turn to me, I stormed into the room with the other Northwests. Just in time, too."Northwests!" Dipper bursted through the door. "You got some explains to do!""Dipper, you came back!" Pacifica ran over to me and gave us both a smile. I shot her glare in return and went by Dipper's side. "You lied to us! All of you did!" Dipper continued. I got my chance to yell. "All you guys had to do was let the townspeople into the party, and the curse would have been broken! Instead, you made us do your dirty work! You lying cheating bast-" Dipper stopped me from saying that last word when he covered my mouth with his hand. "I'd watch your tone with me, kids. I'm hosting a party for the most powerful people in the world. You think they'd come here if they had to rub elbows with your kind?" Preston got into our faces. "My kind?" Dipper asked, insulted. Honestly, if my kind came, I'd like to see the 'fun' they'd have."I was right about you all along. You're just as bad as your parents." Dipper looked at Pacifica. She looked hurt. I felt bad for a second, but anger was quickly placed onto me before I could think about why she'd looked more hurt than when usually insulated."Another link in the world's worst chain.""I'm sorry," Pacifica started to apologize. "They made me. I should've told you guys, but-"Preston rang a bell and Pacifica stopped talking. She looked down and folded her hands again, obeying their order."Enjoy the party." Preston looked at us, disgusted. Resisting the urge to strangle him! "It's the last time you and your kind will ever come." Dipper turned away and started to walk off. But a monkey butler held up a platter of food, offering him some. "No, no. Those aren't for him." Preston told the monkey. It listened and walked away. Dipper continued to storm off, knowing very well that I wasn't done yelling at them ether. Or at least, I assumed he knew I wasn't done."Y/n, I'm sorry I didn't tell you." Pacifica walked up to me. "But my parents-" She set her hand on my arm but I pulled away. "Oh yeah, your parents. They are always doing something now aren't they!" I shouted. "Making you do things you don't want to.""Y/n, I-" Pacific started."Save it!" I snapped back. "I don't want to here any more of your excuses, Pacifica. Or any of your lies. Like sorry for one. If you were sorry, you wouldn't keep making the same mistakes over and over again!""What are you talking about?" She asked, glancing up at her father who was watching us argue. He didn't make a move to help her. Before I could wonder why, my mind became focused on the conversation they had earlier."What you and your dad said! Using me for your own benefit, huh? Remember that? Remember agreeing to that?" I didn't wait for a response. "You agreed to be my friend again, after you apologized for using me for your own personal gain, just so you could use me again! I trusted you!" My voice broke. I cursed myself for it.Pacifica was speechless. She looked ready to cry or fight, I couldn't tell exactly. And I didn't find out either. "Your as bad as your parents. A lier and a cheater. I never want to see you again." With that, I stormed off and got ready to leave. I didn't want to stay. But I had to get my clothes that were still in the changing room. I ran into Dipper on the way there. He had decided to finish the exorcism anyways. No point in not doing it, and plus the ghost did seem pretty dangerous. Keep everyone safe, even if they are backstabbing idiots.I walked alone to the dressing rooms. When I got inside mine I quickly tore off the dress and put on my own clothes. I picked up the dress Pacifica gave me and looked at it. How could she lie to me? Because she's a Northwest! They can't be trusted! I scowled and kicked the dress. It landed gently on the ground two feet from me."Anger issues, much?"I turned to see the mirror. Darker me had a smug smile on her face, enjoying my moment of rage. I didn't stop to think why she was able to bring herself back into my reflection, or why she looked more solid and how her voice seemed less distant."Shut up!" I snapped at her, instead. She just scoffed and uncrossed her arms. "It's funny how rage can distract you y/n. Even when it's not yours."I froze. Not mine? Is she the one making me so angry. Why I'm not able to think about any other possible reason or listen to logic. She's messing with me! With my head and emotions! This time I was sure that this anger I'm feeling now was my own. "You made me angry? Why!?""To distract you of course. And also, to make myself stronger." Darker me reached out and I jumped back when her hand went through the mirror. The glass rippled like it was water. She grabbed the edge of the mirror and she began to pull herself out. "Just think of the other things I can make you do. I'm growing stronger, y/n." The top half of her was out of the mirror at this point. I curled my hands into fists and it took all my willpower not to through a punch."It's only matter of time!" She laughed at me and loose things around the room swirled around. I lost it at this point. I screamed and punched her. I didn't feel anything until I heard glass shatter. I jerked my hand back and hissed in pain. My hand was cut a little, but the mirror was in worse shape. It was shattered and cracked, centered around the spot where I had punched darker me. Or hadn't. Pieces of glass littered the floor. My hand started healing immediately, pushing out the small shards of glass and all that was left was the dried up golden trickles of blood.Darker me's laugh echoed around me. I snarled but quickly calmed myself down. Don't be angry, it'll make her more powerful. I sighed and ran my hand through my hair. I looked at the mirror and saw my broken reflection. I was relived to see just me. I snapped and the mirror put itself back together, even the smallest dust like particles cleaned themselves up and were put back where they were.A wave of energy came at when I waked out of the changing room. I stumbled a little bit and fear overtook me. The ghost was out. It was coming and it wasn't gonna to anything good. Dipper! Mabel! Pacifica!I ran down the hallway and into the main rooms. Animals where running around, ones that had been previously stuffed. People where being turned into wood by the lumberjack. He was floating above the stairwell, his fiery beard and hair swirling around. I hid behind a frozen wooden person. Plants began to grow around the base of his feet and vines slowly made their way up my legs. I broke free out of them easily, seeming how they were pretty thin. "Just one way to change your fates." The lumberjack started rhyming. If something like this rhymes, it's usually important. "A Northwest must open the party gates.""A northwest?" I groaned. Why?I spotted Dipper by the front doors and I teleported by him. "We need to get Pacifica." Dipper said, hardly fazed by my sudden appearance. He's used to it by now. "If that's what you think we need to do." I sighed, not wanting to face Pacifica again. She did lie to me again, but then I did explode in her face. That wasn't the best way to face the problem, but darker me made it clear that it was her who affected my mood."She's down here. Come on." We ran to the broken painting that lead to the secret room. A light was faintly flashing inside it, the light escaping through the tears in the fabric."Pacifica?" Dipper pushed aside the tapestry and ran quickly into the room. I was practically at his heels fallowing him. I seen Pacifica sitting down, a flashlight in hand. She turned it on, then off. On, off, on, off. Her eyes were focusing on nothing in particular. Her mind was somewhere far off. If I wanted, I could possibly hear what she's thinking. I tried."Another link in the world's worst chain.""I never want to see you again!""Don't mess up like you did before, you hear me?""It's all about winning. Winning and looks, Pacifica.""Obey us.""Lier.""Disappointment.""I'm sorry."A sob got caught in my throat. The sadness that filled her up was strong enough to affect me, and I was only reading her thoughts. I felt even worse for yelling at her."There you are." Dipper ran over to her and knelt by her side. "The ghost is turning everyone into wood, and he just started rhyming for some reason. We need your help!" He noticed the emotionless look on her face. "Pacifica?""You wanna know why this room was locked up?" She asked looking ahead of her. She shown the flashlight into the paintings. "This is what I found in here. A painted record of every horrible thing that my family's ever done."I remember these events well, which is weird since I wasn't alive then, but my father must have told me sometimes."Lying, cheating, and then, there's me." She pointed the flashlight under her chin. I seen the dried tear stains on her cheeks. I sat down on the other side of her. "I lied to you guys because I'm too scared to talk back to my stupid parents!" She threw her diamond earrings at a painting of her parents."You were right about me, guys. I'm just another link in the world's worst chain, and I'm just as bad as my parents." She held her knees close to her stomach and hid her head behind her blond hair. "Pacifica, we are sorry about we said." Dipper reassured her. "I am truly sorry Pacifica. I was just angry." I set my hand on her shoulder. She didn't flinch or acknowledge that I did that. "And just because you're your parents daughter, doesn't mean you have to be like them." She looked up at us both. "It's not too late." He said as I gave her a hug."It's too late!""Oh no!" Dipper shouted as he got up and ran out. I quickly got to my feet and pulled Pacifica up with me and dragged her behind me. The entire room was covered in plants and wooden people. I gasped when I seen Mabel, Candy and Grenda frozen in wood arguing."You are all wood!" Dipper seen his sister and narrowed his eyes. Without thinking, he ran towards the ghost. "Dipper, wait!" I yelled trying to grab his wrist. I missed and he stood on a stump closer to the ghost than us. The journal was in one hand, and a silver reflective platter. "All right, ghost. Prepare to be-" The ghost blasted the platter and his journal out of his hands. The ghost held up a hand, ready to hit Dipper. "No wait!" He shouted but the ghost zapped him. He started to change to wood and I started to run to him. Pacifica held me back. "No, no, no, no! No, someone help!" He shouted as seen himself change to wood. I struggled against Pacifica, tears filling my eyes. I wanted to shout but the words got caught in my throat. All I could do was make half sounds of words and sobs. "Someone help!" He shouted, his last word echoing as he was fully changed to wood. "Dipper, no!" I screamed and fell to my knees. Pacifica dragged me behind a pillar as the ghost started looking in our direction. She held a hand over my mouth as I cried and repeated the word no to me. Tears flowed down my cheeks and I was fighting my urge to blast my own magic at him. Pacifica was still there with me, and the less people know about me being a half demon, the better. "A forest of death, a lesson learned. And now, the Northwest manor will burn!" The ghost said as I heard a fire roar. Wood popped and a image of Dipper burning as wood caused me to cry even more and curl my fists, energy flickering around them. Pacifica's grip on my shoulder and mouth loosened, but at that moment I didn't care that it may have been due to her seeing what my hands were doing. Instead, I moved my face out of the way and Pacifica let go of me."We have to open the gates." I said looking at the huge doors. Next to it was lever, with the word 'Gates' engraved above it."No, it's not safe." Pacifica whispered back to me. I looked at her in the eye. "It doesn't matter if it's safe or not. If someone you love or care about is in trouble, you do anything to save them. Even if it hurts you. That's what I live by. So, I'm not going to sit around and wait for this place to burn." I stood and waited for her to make the choice. She sighed and stood as well. "I have a lot of things in this place, and I'm not gonna let it be burned." She said giving a smile for our benefit. I gave a sincere smile, knowing that that was her way of saying I care.We took a deep breath and made a break for the door. I ran past frozen people and jumped over plants that had started to grow bigger. I heard Pacifica shout and I turned around to see a vine had grabbed her ankle. I pulled it off of her and she quickly got up. But the noise had made the ghost turn around and spot us. He narrowed his eyes. "Northwest!" He shouted and pointed his finger at us. We froze with fear as he got ready to turn us into wood. "You will die with your ancestors promise!" He shot his magic at Pacifica. Pacifica screamed and used her arms to shield herself. Without thinking, I pushed her out of the way. The fire hit me and I felt butterflies in my stomach. And not the good kind."Y/n, no!" Pacifica screamed and ran to me. It took all my power to keep from being turned to wood, but I knew it would only be stalled for a minute. "Pacifica, hurry!" I shouted at her, my voice strained. She nodded and ran to the lever. I tried to fallow her, and made it close but I fell to the ground. I looked down at my legs and seen that my feet and ankles were already wood. I gasped as I realized I couldn't feel them anymore."Y/n!" Pacifica ran to my side and dragged me to the lever, sitting me up so my back was up against the wall. "Hey, ugly!" Pacifica shouted up at the ghost. I don't think calling the ghost ugly was the best way to go, but it was Pacifica we're talking about here. She can't be that nice for more than a couple minutes. The ghost growled, disapproving the name, like I thought. But Pacifica didn't linger on it. "You want me to let in the townsfolk, cause I'll do it!" She helped me to my wooden feet. I held the change there as much as I could. I knew Pacifica was wondering why I wasn't changing as fast as everyone else had, but I wasn't gonna tell her just yet."Just change everyone back!" She looked at me then my slowly changing legs. I held my transformation still, but my stomach was hurting and I felt light headed. I almost collapsed out of exhaustion but Pacifica caught me quickly. My legs rapidly turned to wood and I stopped it when it reached my upper thighs."You wish to prove yourself?" The ghost asked in his loud booming voice. Pacifica never lost the determination in her eyes, or loosened her grip on my arm, which was helping me keep my balance. "Pull that lever and open the grand gate to the town. Fulfill your ancestors' promise."Pacifica grabbed the lever and was about to pull it down. But Preston's voice stopped her. He, along with a butler and his wife were in a underground room, the trap door open just a little bit so you could see them. "Pacifica Elise Northwest, stop this instant!" Preston demanded. "We can't let the town see us like this. We have a reputation to uphold." I groaned as my lower stomach started to change into wood. Pacifica held me up before I could fall."Leave y/n and come into the panic room. There's enough mini sandwiches and oxygen to last you, me and a butler for a week." He held up a hand and whispered loudly to us, "We'll eat the butler."Pacifica looked at me then the lever. She grabbed it again and was about to pull it down once more. "You dare disobey us?" Preston held up a bell and started to ring it. Pacifica froze at the sound and her grip on me and the lever loosened. She struggled with obeying their demands and doing what she thought was right. I hadn't known how hard it was for her to disobey her parents. How afraid she was. But I didn't get a chance to tell her to do what she thought was right. My strength left me and so did my resistance to the spell. "Pacifica!" Was all I got to say before I was completely turned to wood.Narrators' POVPacifica gasped and started getting teary eyed when she seen y/n turn to wood. Her hand reaching out, asking for help. Her eyes widen with fear and her mouth open, as she tried to tell her something but never got the chance. Pacifica let out a sob and let go of y/n's shoulder. The ringing of the bell, snapped Pacifica back into the current situation. But she wasn't going to listen to them now. She wasn't going be like them, she was gonna help the ones she loved. "Dingly, dingly. Is this bell broken?" Her father asked sarcastically, telling her to listen and don't ignore their directions. But Pacifica wasn't fazed by the bell now. She stomped her foot on the ground to silence her father. "Our family name is broken! And I'm gonna fix it!" She yelled and pulled the lever down, opening the gates. She looked into the wooden eyes of y/n and grabbed her hand that was reaching out for help. "I'll do anything for someone I care about when they're in trouble. Even if it hurts me." The ghost flew over to the window and seen with joy the townspeople running inside the gates. It may have happened generations later than promised, but his one dying wish has finally been fulfilled. "Yes, yes, it's happening." He smiled, the booming anger from his voice now gone. "My heart, once as hard as oak, now grows soft like more of a birch or something." The plants slowly faded away and everyone returned to their normal form. Y/n fell and Pacifica caught her. She looked asleep, but at least she wasn't a tree. The ghost turned to Pacifica, who hadn't let go of y/n's reaching hand since she pulled the lever. "Pacifica, you are not like the other Northwests." His words made Pacifica smile warmly. "I feel lumber justice." The ghosts said as he floated slowly towards the ceiling, his fiery beard and hair died out, then he faded into a skeleton. A second after, that faded away. The axe that was lodged in his skull fell to the ground and broke the floor when the sharp blade landed.Pacifica stood there, looking at the axe feeling worry free and happy for the first time in awhile. Then the floor seemed to shake, almost like a minor tremor. All of a sudden the door bursted open as townspeople flooded inside. Preston had climbed out of the panic room and was trying desperately to fix the stuff he thought people messed up. "What happened?" Y/n mumbled, rubbing her eyes. She jumped when she remembered the ghost and that she was turning to wood. Y/n looked down and seen she was fine. And that the door was open showing the open gates, with a few stragglers of people who were climbing the steps and into the mansion."You did it?" Y/n looked at Pacifica, sounding completely shocked. Pacifica smirked, but rolled her eyes not wanting to admit she did it more so to save her friend. "Don't sound so surprised." She said sarcastically. "Sorry. But, uhhh, thanks." Y/n hugged her. Pacifica hugged her back. Then a thought came to mind. "Why didn't you change as fast as everyone else had?" Pacifica held y/n at arm's length. Y/n's widened a little as she quickly tried to think of an excuse. "Uhhh....." she looked around for an idea of what to say. But then she seen Dipper. "Hey it's Dipper!" Y/n ran over to him and practically tackled him, hugging him as tightly as she could. "Your ok!" She cheered, silently thanking him for being right there at the time. For the diversion and to let her know that he was ok."I guess so. That was putting 'Pine Tree' to a whole knew meaning, though." Dipper brushed off a left over leaf. Y/n giggled then they walked over to Pacifica. "Glade your ok, Dipper." Pacifica gave a small nod, but silently putting a pin in the unanswered question that she had asked y/n. She won't forget that easily."Thanks Pacifica." Dipper gave the same nod back. Then he looked around and seen everyone, apart from some stubborn rich people, was having fun. A guy in a basket ball jersey was pretending to be dribbling a ball past some eager townsfolk. Y/n smiled at that and remembered her brother Shawn. He liked basket ball."Man, if your family hates you for this, they're idiots. This is great." Dipper stuffed his hands in his pockets and watched everyone have a good time. "Amen." Y/n looked down at the ground and remembered she had mud on her shoes. Meanwhile, Pacifica's smile disappeared and she crossed her arms. "Enjoy it while it lasts. Next year, I'm sure they're just gonna lock everyone out again."Y/n elbowed Dipper and then pointed to the carpet they were standing on. Dipper smiled and tapped his foot, leaving mud on the carpet pattern Pacifica's parent's loved. "Hey, guess what we're standing on." Dipper said to Pacifica. She looked down and seen the carpet and her still muddy heels. She twisted her foot a little, disbelieving for a second what she seen. But the horrified look of what was wrong was replaced by a smirk. She laughed and stomped her foot down on other parts of the carpet. Y/n did the same and Dipper dumped some cups of punch onto the carpet, contributing to the act of rebellion and a start of freedom.Y/n didn't see the platter at first and stepped on it. She slipped, taking both Pacifica and Dipper down with her. They started laughing at themselves, and at the fact that they had some mud on them as well now. "This is the best photo op." Pacifica said between a laugh. Y/n reached into her pocket and grabbed out her phone. "Hang on." She set it to camera. "Say cheese!" Y/n held it out at arm's length to get the carpet and the other two trouble makers in the picture. Dipper and Pacifica leaned closer to y/n and smiled. Dipper held up a peace sign and Pacifica held up her muddy gloves. "Cheese!" They all said in union. "I seriously better go find somebody to clean this up, though." Pacifica said standing up. Y/n waved by to her with her free hand and Dipper waved as well. "We'll be here." With that, Pacifica walked off. Y/n helped Dipper to his feet just as Old Man McGucket came walking up, shouting his usual nonsense. "Scoobiddy doo! Hornswaggle my goat knees!""Hey, Fiddleford McGucket!" Y/n said, kinda happy and surprised that he was here. Dipper looked at y/n confused. "You know him?" He asked pointing at McGucket, who actually had something important to tell Dipper. But he didn't want to interrupt. He may be the town's crazy old man, but he certainly wasn't a rude crazy old man."Yeah, we met when he was rummaging through my trash one day. I gave him a proper meal and we have our weird talks every now and then." Y/n explained, remembering that weird day. How he was so brilliant in the past, and because he want to forget, he drove himself to madness. Scary."Yes sirey! That was fine eating! And that food you gave me after was pretty great, too!" McGucket rubbed his stomach. Y/n looked at him confused and concerned. "But I need to talk to Dipper real quick like." He grabbed the boy's arm without warning and dragged him into a cutoff section of the main room. Y/n shrugged and then spotted Pacifica. Before she got the chance to ask y/n the question from earlier, y/n started talking about what's gonna happen now that she disobeyed her parents' wishes and let the townsfolk into the grand party. They came to the conclusion, nothing good. Y/n said that if it ever gets to bad, she is always welcomed at her house. With y/n's magic, there's always enough room. Not that Pacifica would know that's the reason. Y/n was still unsure of wether to tell her or not. Give it time, and it'll be fine. (That rhymes!)Dipper walked back over to them just a little bit later. He had checked on Mabel and he said that she and her friends got in a little argument over a guy but everything was fine. "Typical boy problems." Y/n came to the conclusion. "Yeah, basically." Dipper shrugged. "He really went with Grenda?" Pacifica raised a brow. Dipper and y/n gave her a look that meant "Really?""Sorry, that was mean." Pacifica acknowledged her mistake. "I was just a little surprised. Grenda didn't seem like his type.""Don't worry, your getting better." Y/n gave her a reassuring light elbow hit to her arm."Pacifica Elise Northwest!" Preston called, trying and failing to hide the anger in his voice. His wife and trusty butler were behind him, both having their arm's crossed. Pacifica sighed and bit her lip. "Time to go face my parents now." "You can do it." Dipper said setting his hand on her arm. Y/n gave Pacifica a quick confidence hug. It was a literal confidence hug, she had transferred some of her own confidence into Pacifica during their short physical contact. She didn't realize what y/n had done, but she did feel a lot more certain that she can face her parents and stand by what she did."See you two later." Pacifica said then reluctantly turned away and fallowed her parents out of the room."She'll be fine." Dipper seen how worried y/n looked. It would take a minute but y/n would build back her confidence to what it normally would be. Pacifica would keep that extra boost forever, so it wouldn't be a loss."I hope so." Y/n replied a little shakily. To distract her from being worried, y/n remembered something from earlier."Hey, how could you talk to me mentally? When you found out about the ghost's reason to be here. I didn't activate our connection then." y/n inspected Dipper. He didn't show any signs of power, which would explain it. There was something small and faint, but it was definitely not enough to open a mental link. "I don't know. I was angry at the time and I wanted to tell you why. I just figured I could contact you like you did to me. I didn't know I had activate something in order to do it." Dipper shrugged. "Huh." Y/n held a finger to her chin and thought. There was no real reason she could think of. Maybe it was because they had such a strong mental connection that it was easy for Dipper to use it, even though he didn't have powers like y/n did. Except the small faint one inside him. What was that anyways? Last time she knew, Dipper was human. No ancient bloodline of magic, she would have known about it as soon as they met. Maybe it is in other people, too. Maybe it wasn't magic, just a life force. The soul, perhaps.Y/n looked at a random townsperson and studied them entirely. No faint unknown force inside, is either that person is soulless or the something isn't a soul. She looked at another person, then found nothing. "That's odd." Y/n said out loud. Dipper, who was watching her the entire time, heard and asked, "What's odd?" Y/n realized she said that out loud and quickly covered it up. "Oh, nothing. Just that guy is married to a woodpecker." Y/n knew that the second person she had studied is actually married to a woodpecker. That was odd itself, but that's just apart of Gravity Falls. The night died down and people started leaving. But some butlers and maids had to hunt some remaining townspeople down and escort them out. They thought they could secretly live there with no one noticing. Like in the movies. Only, it didn't work out.Pacifica was in her room, looking out her window. She had been yelled at by her parents and grounded. The time length was undetermined. Tears poured down her cheeks and she wiped them away. Her left cheek stung, the place where Preston had slapped her out of pure anger. It hurt her more emotionally than it did physically. And so she had gotten dressed in a nightgown to sleep her worries off and was wearing soft silky slippers. They reminded her of the blankets y/n had said her friend sent her. Pacifica looked down and seen that her window was high off the ground. The idea of running away and staying with y/n seemed like a good one. But how would she get out of her room. The door was locked, the windows were too high up and she didn't trust using sheets and clothing to make a rope to climb down. So she was stuck. Or so she thought."Psst!"Pacifica strained up and looked around her room. She didn't see anyone. For a split second she thought the ghost was back but she knew that wasn't it. He was at rest now. Maybe it's another ghost...."Psst!"Y/n poked her head out of the walk in closet. Well, the larger one on the left side of her room that is. Pacifica looked at her shocked and quickly whipped away the tears in her eyes and the ones on her cheeks. "How did you get in there?" Her voice broke a little, but she didn't care. Y/n gave a sly smile and motioned for Pacifica to come to her. Pacifica obeyed and jumped off the window seat and ran to the closet. Y/n stepped inside and Pacifica seen Dipper was there, too."Dipper?""Hey Pacifica. We're here to brake you out." He held up a duffle bag and an extra book bag. Pacifica looked at them before slowly taking the bags. "Pack what you think is necessary, plus some other things if you'd like. Then your coming with us." Y/n informed her. Pacifica nodded. "But how'd you know I was locked in here?""A good magician never reveals her secrets." Y/n said smiling and standing taller. Dipper rolled his eyes and answered, "We overheard your parents saying how long they'd think they would have to lock you in here.""I was against that." Y/n crossed her arms remembering hearing the two talk. She did cause a cup to fly at Preston, but Dipper stopped y/n from hitting him. She didn't like that."Thank you so much." Pacifica started to pack some extra clothes, nightgowns, shoes, makeup, jewelry, cleaning essentials, a teddy bare and her phone. Plus some other stuff she uses for entertainment. It filled the two bags, plus one of her own. She stuffed some pillows under the blankets to make it look like she was there sleeping. A decoy that could last until morning. That would leave more than enough time to get out and get hidden at y/n's place."I'm ready." Pacifica held one bag in her hand and the book bag over her shoulders. Dipper said he'd carry the other one for her. Y/n nodded and went to the end of the unnecessarily large closet. She grabbed the selves' edges and pulled. The wall opened up to a secret tunnel that was dimly lit. "Ta dah. Secret passage." Y/n showed off her finding. Pacifica opened her mouth to ask a question, but y/n stopped her. "Ahh! Before you ask, I found this last time I was here and was able to find my way to the kitchen. That was how I got my midnight snack.""I've been here all my life and never knew about this?" Pacifica walked up the the entrance. She could feel how cold and musty it was. That didn't make her second guess leaving though, only more determined to escape her family and their many secrets and lies."Pretty cool, but we should get going before your parents come in." Dipper held the straps tightly. Pacifica nodded and y/n lead the way into the secret passage. Dipper closed the wall door behind him, not leaving a trace of themselves there. Y/n navigated the way through and lead them outside, behind the manor. Pacifica felt a rush of adrenaline when she seen she was outside. She's never done anything like this, and it felt good. "Come on, this way!" Y/n said running to the gate that separated them from finale freedom. Pacifica glanced nervously back at her home. She looked at the window of a hallway and seen the image of her father walking past it. Thank goodness he didn't look outside. But he was walking in the direction of her room. "We gotta hurry. My dads going to my room." Pacifica warned, fear creeping up into her voice. She was worried they'd be caught and she would be punished for this severely. Y/n created a door when she seen Pacifica was distracted. She pulled Dipper through it and then Pacifica. Once they were out, the door vanished. They quickly ran along side the gate and to the long driveway where the main gates were. Y/n's mom was there in the car, waiting for them. She didn't have a second thought in helping Pacifica escape the wrath of her parents. After all, she'd help Bill escape the wrath of some other demons before. Helping a child was nothing."Hop in!" Y/n's mother called as they ran and jumped into the welcoming escape vehicle. The strapped themselves in and m/n drove out of there as fast and quiet as she could. When they were outta sight of the house, everyone let out a deep sigh of relief. Pacifica was the first to laugh. Soon everyone was, shaking off the worrying scared feeling."That was intense." Dipper melted into the seat cushion. "That's what I call an adrenaline rush." Pacifica agreed, relaxing her tense muscles. Her hand was still tightly wrapped around the straps of her bag, though. If she had to make a break for it, just in case, she would be ready to run."Thank you Miss. l/n." She called from the backseat. M/n looked at her in the rear view mirror. "No worries, hon. And please, call me m/n." Pacifica nodded."We'll be able to keep you safe for a bit. Let things cool down with your parents. Then you should be able to go back. But, it's up to you." Y/n said, setting her hand on Pacifica's hand, which was almost trying white knuckled from her death grip on her bag. "So you can relax now."Pacifica's grip loosened and y/n moved her hand. "I'm relaxed. Juts still a little worried.""Don't be. Your with us now." Dipper smiled at her. "We got your back." Pacifica gave an agreeing nod then the exhaustion of running and the energy if the adrenaline rush settled on her. She yawned and rubbed her eyes. "I'm so tried now." Y/n yawned and nodded. "Yeah, me, too." She closed her eyes. "This was an adventure all right." "You can say that again." Dipper chuckled a bit before yawning himself. "Right Pacifica?"She didn't answer. She was already asleep, her head resting on the seatbelt strap that went across her chest. Y/n and Dipper silently laughed before y/n rested her head on Dipper's shoulder. "Goodnight." She yawned. Dipper said his goodnights. M/n said goodnight to both of them, knowing that she'd have to wake them up and move them into her house in a little bit.Y/n knew it, too. But she didn't worry about that. She'd need as much sleep as could get. Tomorrow was another day, another adventure. Another mystery. And now Pacifica was joining them. What could go wrong?Pacifica's now included.
