Nala's POV.
I don't know how long I lay there with the wolf by my side but it had to have been some time because I felt numb and the slightest movement caused pins and needles.
The wolf had not moved an inch, only it's ears twitched now and then at the sound of a mouse or fly near by I guess.
I knew my parents were back when it's head shot up alert and it's face turned towards the door. With a few quick sniffs it darted up the stairs, leaving the way it entered by the looks of it.
I tried to move but couldn't, so when the key entered the the door and someone pushed it, it didn't budge.
"Dad, I'm in the way."
"Why are you in the way?" I heard dad question.
"I'll tell you when you get in, you might wanna use the back door." I chuckle still lying on the floor.
Within seconds I heard the back door opening and my dad came running through the hallway.
"Hey." I salute still laughing.
And here come the questions. "Nala, are you ok? Why are you blocking the door? Oh and now that I think about it, were you on of the dancers?"
"Dad, dad! Calm down. One question at a time, but first help me up and to the settee."
He scoops me up in one quick motion and places me carefully on the settee, I feel my body tingling from the pins and needles.
"Honey is every thing alright?" Mom asks entering the living room, concern evident on her face.
"Take a seat both of you." I demand.
"First things first. Yes I was one of the dancers, I started dancing a couple years back. I didn't tell you because I wanted to surprise you, so... Suprise!"
"It was a nice surprise dear, but that doesn't explain why you were on the floor in front of the door." Dad pointed out.
"Geez dad, patience. I was getting there." God he's so impatient. "After finishing the dance I left early so I could be back before you guys and so I went to my room to get a shower and change."
"But when I entered the room there was a huge dog, looked more like a wolf and well, I ran. Dogs scare me enough, but that was HUGE!"
My parents eyes go like saucers as they stare at me in shock. Before they have chance to speak I carry on.
"When I ran down the stairs.. it followed." Just the thought made me shiver. "I.. I tried to get to the door but it jumped at me. I thought I was gonna die!"
Mom and dad shared quick glances with each other.
"I managed to get out from under it and crawl to the door, I couldn't get up though, I was in so much pain. The pain kept getting worst and I felt like I was on fire, I felt like flames had been lit against my skin." My arms wrapped around myself as my body shook, as if I was reliving what happened. I took a breath and continued. "It began liking me, it's rough tongue touched my skin and began to cool it, I didn't know what was happening. I was so scared."
Mate. That's what I heard my parents whisper. What it meant I had no clue, so I carried on.
"After a while the burning pain left and the beasts head lay on my chest."
I noticed mom and dad cringe at my choice of words.
"All I could focus on was its teeth, sharp, deadly and dangerous. It wasn't until you guys came back that it left."
After that we just sat in silence, both of the came and sat either side of me and crushed me into a hug while I just cried.

"Honey, it's time to wake up." I heard then I felt myself being shook.
"Urgh, leave me to sleep!"
"You've slept for hours already. Dinners done, so up missy."
"Alright, alright. I'm getting up." Not.
I start dosing again until suddenly I'm squealing with laughter. I am so ticklish it's unbelievable.
I jump up from the settee and run into the kitchen in an attempt to avoid my moms hands.
Taking a seat at the table I begin shovelling down my food while giving a nod of acknolagment to my dad, who by the way was eating like me. See where I get it from?
"I see I'm surrounded by a bunch of pigs." Mom teases us.
"You're most kind." I get out between mouthfuls.
We finish eating dinner in a comfortable silence and I let my mind wonder.
Neil's POV.
After questioning Nala about what happened she sat both me and her mother down and began to explain.
My heart was hurting at how scared she was and the fact that as her dad I wasn't there to look after her.
She told us about taking dance classes and then about the 'huge dog', that was no dog. It was a wolf.
She told us of how she tried to escape and of how her body burned. I still can't believe she hasn't shifted yet, she should have by now.
When she got to the part about how it licked her skin and cooled the pain, that's when I knew it, after sharing a glance with my dearest, I could see the same conclusion written on her face. We both uttered mate with out thinking but luckily Nala carried on.
I still couldn't believe it, my baby girl all grown up... She had finally met her mate, well so to speak. It's not like she actually knows who it is.
When she had finally finished her story, we pulled her into a group hug. A hug that she cried herself to sleep with.
"Let her rest on the settee until tea time." I whispered to the beauty beside me.
"I will honey, but come on, we must speak with the Alpha." She replied with a smile.
