Neil's POV
We left for Alpha Finch's house straight after making sure Nala would be ok left alone at home.
I drove us to the pack house and parked up in the huge driveway.
"Come on then Honey." I called after opening her door. I held out my hand for her to take and helped her iut the car, then I shut the door and locked the car.
"Mr and Mrs Greenwald, a pleasure to see you."
"You too Alpha." Julie replied, loosing my hand to shake Paddy's.
"What can I do for you?"
"Can we speak to you in private, please?" I question.
"Sure, come to my office Neil." He gestures us to follow him.
I grab Julie's hand again and together we follow behind Paddy, enter his office and then I shut the door.
"Take a seat." Paddy says while taking the one behind his desk.
We sit and I get straight to the point.
"We a sure our daughter is one of us." I say.
"How are you so sure now?" Wwas his reply, just as I expected.
"Our daughter has a mate and yes I know humans can have them but, their skin wouldn't heal as quick as Nala's has, nore would the scar be so neat and faded."
"So I see she's been in close contact with her mate in his wolf form."
"Yes she has Alpha. She had another run in with the wolf, this time at our home."
"Another run in? So her mate is the grey wolf?" He questions shocked.
"Yes, her mate is the grey wolf."
"Intresting." He looks thoughtful for a moment before continuing. "Have you seen this wolf yet?"
"No Sir, when we got back from the Show and found Nala on the floor, she told us the wolf darted after hearing us come. He stayed by her side until we returned home."
"Ah yes! The Show, who knew Nala could dance!?" He chuckled, knowing as much as us that dance was never Nala's strong point as a kid. "This wolf is loyal to her then, although he seems cautious to reveal himself. That would suggest he is near and we've seen him."
"That's what we thought might be the case." I stated.
"I shall get onto the case and try finding out who this young man is, I suggest you pair keep a close eye on Nala. If she's met her maate and has been having as much pain as she says then she is due to change."
"Yes Alpha, thanks for your time." We bow and take our leave.
Nala's POV.
I awoke screaming, screaming in pain. Why does this keep happening?
I got off the settee and lay on the floor so that I didn't end up falling off when I tossed and turned.
I felt a cool breeze as the front door opened and in came my mom and dad, I smiled at them hand in hand until I scrunched my face up in pain again.
"Honey, quick! Take her outside while I get cold water and rags." I heard mom say.
I felt my body being lifted of the floor and carried, I was placed onto the grass once we got outside.
"Sweetheart, I'm sorry we didn't explain this to you sooner but I've a confession to make."
"Ca.. can't it w.. ait until later?" I look at him like he's mad, can he not see I'm in pain right now.
"No. It has got to be now."
I just nod for him to continue.
"Me and your mom, we aren't who you think we are."
"So you're li.. like a spy or a.. a secret agent?"
I hear mum chuckle and reply. "Honey, we're werewolves."
That did it. I burst out laughing uncontrollably and had tears rolling down my cheeks. "No really, are you spys?"
"No, we're werewolves."
"So yo.. you change into a wal.. king monster wh.. hen there's a full moon?" I ask.
"Of course not! We can change whenever we want to."
"Prove it." I challange.
After a couple of minutes of us just looking at each other, mom finally starts taking of her clothes.. wait what!?
"Mom what the hell!?" I cover my eyes.
"I don't want ripped clothes do it?" Fair point.
I peak through the gaps of my fingers to see my moms stark naked figure. I watch as her eyes close and her body twitches, I hear cracks and pops as her bones move. Hair spouts out along her skin until finally stairing back at me is a caramel brown coloured wolf with her eyes.
I scream! Not because of the pain but because of what she became.
"You're a monster!" The creature that haunts my nightmares was not from my imadination as I previously made myself believe. I had seen this happen before.
"She's not a monster, she's a shape shifter. As am I, and even you!" Dad defends mom.
"No no no no." I am not that beast.
"You are what you are. The she-wolf within you is ready to be let out."
"The she-wolf within me? Hell no.. I'm human!" I scream at him.
And then I felt the familiar hot flames run around my body, burning me from the inside out. I wasn't actually burning but I felt like it.
My dad came closer and placed some of the wet rags against my skin, they sizzled and dried out within seconds.
But again he dunked them in water and placed them to my skin. Mom joined in after becoming human again and dressing.
The heat became bearable and I let out a sigh of relief, the worst was not over and I knew it but for now I was alright.
They continued their process while I just lay there, I didn't have the energy to move. Not until I thought about what mom had said anyway.
She had been taking of her clothes so that the didn't rip, so would the take off mine? Not if I've got something to say about it.
With newfound energy, I pulled myself up and ran.
"Don't follow me." I then shouted as an after thought over my shoulder.
They looked at each other and exchanged a few words begore walking into the house.
Neil's POV.
That's impossible, she can't have energy right now! Going through the transformation leaves you extremely weak, even the start of it does.
"I'm going to ring Alpha and let him know whats going on."
"Alright love." I say, giving julie a smile. "Let's just hope her wolfy friend wants to make an appearance. I don't want her going through this alone."
"Our daughter is strong, the company would be nice but im sure as hell she'd manage on her own."
"I know that Julie, but have you heard how she describes our kind. As monsters and beasts, I just want to make sure she's safe." Julie grabs me into a hug.
" She'll be fine. She will come around eventually aswel."
