Chapter 14

Chapter 14: for you:
I had been in the hospital for 3 weeks and I was finally out. Being cooped up in that hospital room was making my wolf restless and I was tired of the uncomfortable bed and overwhelming hospital smell. Jasmine met me in the parking lot with the hummer and I climbed in.
We had gotten back to the territory and the team was there waiting on me. "What's going on?" I asked Jasmine and she just smiled and said "You'll see."
I wondered what was going on and tried to think about it but gave up getting nothing. "Welcome home Lucas." My captain said. "We have a little something for you, put this on and follow me." He gave me a blindfold and I put it on and followed his scent.
"Okay you can take the blindfold off." He said and I did, we were in the territory center and I was appalled at the crowd. He led me onto a makeshift stage and looked at the crowd. "I would like for Lucas Anghelescu to step up and take this Medal of Honor as a symbol for his bravery. He saved me and took a bullet, he made a plan that saved America from terrorists, and he saved his family when they needed help." He said and pinned the Medal of Honor on my shirt.
"Now would you step up and give your own speech to your pack and fellow comrades?" He asked and I nodded.
"I cannot begin to thank you for this honor, I would die for my country, for my pack, and for my friends and family. I would rather me die than any of you, I will continue to fight for every last one of you whether it be pack business or a mission with my Navy team. I could say more, but I just can't think of any more that I could say that would tell you how grateful I am so thank you again for this I meant this not just with my heart, but with my whole being." I said and then gave the stage back to Captain Bryant and he dismissed the crowd.
"Lucas can I speak to you in your office?" My captain asked me. "Yes sir you can." I told him and we went to my office.
"I'm promoting you to commander, you can get your new uniform tomorrow although unless you want to you don't have to come back to work for a couple of weeks." He said. "Thank you captain, I will not fail you and I think I might take at the most two weeks off I need a little vacation." I said.
He nodded and left the office and then Jasmine came in to me looking bewildered and happy. "What happened to get you this happy?" She asked and I swept her up in my arms and kissed her.
I put her down and told her about my promotion. She threw herself at me and hugged me tightly. "I'm so happy for you Lucas." She said and I smiled hugging her back.
I thought about the mating ceremony. I decided I would go pick out a ring so I let her go and told her I was going to town. I was supposed to wear my medal all day with my uniform so I changed into my uniform and put the medal on the jacket.
I went to the nearest jewelry store and went to pick out the perfect ring. I had asked what her favorite stone was and she said it was the moonstone. I went inside and every head turned my way.
"What can we do for you today, sir?" A lady asked me at the counter. "I'm here to get a ring." I told her and she asked what stone I needed and told her. "These are all the moonstone collection." She said and I looked at the rings in the case.
I saw it just then. Perfect, that was the only word to describe it. It had a moonstone heart in the center with smaller diamonds surrounding the heart and diamonds around the band. I showed her the ring and asked if I could get something personalized on it and she said I could.
I decided on the words 'I love you with all my heart.' and told her what to put on the inside of the band. "Alright sir, I'll be right back in just a minute." She said and I waited for a minute while looking at the other rings and she came back out with the ring.
"Here you go, that'll be $100 for you, it's half off because you serve our country." I paid the money and she gave me the box with the ring and I left.
I got home to find Jasmine sitting in the living room with Jake. I asked Jake to stay with her and I would mind link him to tell him when to send her to find me.
This moment had to be perfect. I found some roses around the side of the house and picked 13 I wrote little notes to put with each rose and placed a little trail and told Jake to send her when I was finished and he said okay.
Jasmine's pov.
"Jasmine go to the door and go find Lucas." Jake said and I said okay. I walked to the door and found a note just outside with a rose. "Follow the trail and see where it leads you." So I picked up the rose and went to the next rose and found another note.
"This is for our first kiss." And I picked up the rose and went to the next.
"This is for when I looked for you." And I moved to the next and followed about 7 more picking them up along the way.
I got to the 11th it was a big rose bloomed to its full size and read the note attached "This is for how much I love you." And I smiled and went to the next it looked to be the biggest.
"This is for the first time we met. Now look up." It said and I did. I saw Lucas. He was standing between two willows and was holding another rose.
Lucas's pov
She looked up and saw me. I motioned for her to come to me and she did. "And this is for how much I will always love you." And I handed her the rose. She hugged me and I led her to the clearing behind the two willows.
It had a waterfall and a small spring and I had a blanket and some candles set up. I brought the picnic basket out and set out our little treat. It was a chocolate pie.
Her eyes lit up and she sat down. "Lucas thank you, this is amazing." She said and I smiled. "I wanted this to be a night to remember." I told her. We ate our pie and I got up pulling her up with me. I got the ring out of my pocket and got on one knee.
"Jasmine Allan, will you complete the mating ceremony with me?" I proposed to her and her eyes got big. "Yes!" She shouted. "Yes I will!" And I grabbed her in a hug and kissed her grateful she said yes.
We walked back after blowing out the candles and I saw Tala at the front door waiting for me. Jake must've told her what I was doing. "What did she say Lucas?" She asked when I got to the door. "She said yes." I said and she screamed, like all out screamed her happiness.
"When are you having it?" She asked and I asked Jasmine if she wanted to do it tomorrow night and she said yes. "Tomorrow night." I told her and she went to call mom and dad right away.
I could only imagine their reaction. I took Jasmine to bed and we fell asleep in each other's arms.
