Chapter 12

Chapter 12: planning:
We had gotten the remains of the house cleaned up with the help of my parents pack and my Navy team and were on our way back to our base in Mississippi. On the ride there it gave me time to think.
Who was the terrorist leader? Why would he be so naive as to try to take over America. The one I killed back in Tennessee was a Russian but I didn't know if his leader was Russian or what.
My mom and dad were going to be alright and they are living in the pack house until they can build them a new one. I had burned my hand when I got that beam off of me in the fire but it was already almost healed.
We were back at the base when I saw someone waiting on us. He didn't look like someone I knew but the captain seemed to know him. "Admiral, you've heard about what's happening?" He asked him when the helicopter landed.
"Yes I have and we need to make a plan." He then looked my way asking who I was. "I'm Lucas Anghelescu, the Tennessee transfer sir." I told him and he nodded.
"Well I've heard a lot about you Lucas." He said. "Yes sir, they say I'm one of the best but I'm not so sure about that." He nodded and told me and the captain to follow him to the planning room.
We followed him and when we got there he spoke of an informant in the terrorist's team. He had found out their leader's name and their plans.
They planned to infiltrate the American borders and take over our government. "And we are going to stop them." The admiral said to my captain. I mind linked Jake and told him I wasn't going to be home for a while and to keep Jasmine safe and take care of the pack.
"Okay Lucas will do." I cut off the mind link and saw the admiral staring at me. "You alright Lucas?" He asked. "Yes sir I'm fine just telling my brother to keep an eye on my pack for me." I told him.
"So you're the werewolf?" He asked me. "Yes sir, but I'm more than just a werewolf." And I showed him my wings telling him of their power. "We could use them later on." He said and started adding to the plan.
"Can you bring those out while in wolf form?" He asked and I told him I could. "So what are you other than a werewolf?" He asked. "I'm part death angel because my mom is a death angel." And he nodded.
I thought of a plan just then. "Okay I have a plan." I told them and they said they were listening. "I go into the forest around the terrorist's camp in wolf form, you can put some fake blood on one of our team members and on my snout. I'll look like I had just killed him and when one of the guards hears the snarling and screams they'll come looking."
They looked at me. "Sounds good so far I like where this is going." Captain Bryant said. "When they're close I'll lunge at the man on the ground and he'll shoot a blank and I'll fall like I've just been shot, if and when they come to investigate I'll play dead and the rest I'll just make up along the way." I told them.
The admiral looked at me approvingly and said he liked this plan and we would get more information on the location soon and then dismissed us back to our duties.
Captain Bryant told me to go back to the guard tower and he would send Max when he found him. I got up to the tower and thought of the plan. I would need one of my pack members so I could speak to them through the mind link and we could go through with the plan a lot easier.
I thought about this and just kept it in the back of my mind for later when Max showed up in the tower. "How you doing man?" He asked. "Good what about you?" I asked him. "Same." And we fell into silence.
"So, back in Tennessee at that house fire, you know those people you got out?" He asked breaking the silence. "Yes, those are my parents." I told him and he fell back into silence.
I asked him about his family and he said they were doing good, he's got a little 17 year old sister and she's just the rebellious teenager you might expect at that age. I nodded and we talked about different things while we were in the tower waiting on our shift to be up.
When our shift was up I went to find the captain to ask him if I could bring one of my warriors into the plan to be the guy I was going to attack so I could speak to him through the mind link. He said I could and I mind linked for Drake to come to the base at 5:30 in the morning.
We ate our supper in the rec room and then went to the barracks to sleep.
