Chapter 15

Chapter 15: the mating ceremony:
I woke up hearing people talking downstairs and noticed Jasmine was already up. I went to the bathroom and then got dressed and went downstairs to see mom talking to Jasmine.
"Hey mom, glad you're feeling better." I said and she looked up.
She ran over to me squealing and crushed me in a hug. "You proposed to her!" She yelled happily.
"Yes mom and I gotta go to the base for a few minutes to get my new uniform." I said but she didn't let go. "Meaning you have to let me go, plus you're crushing me." I said.
"Oh sorry." She said letting me go. "It's just I'm getting a daughter in law." She said and I told her bye and gave Jasmine a kiss goodbye.
"I'll be back soon." I told her. "Okay, but hurry." She said and I nodded.
I went to the hummer and drove to the base. When I got there the captain was already waiting on me.
I saluted him and he did the same. "Follow me to get your uniform and I need to talk to you." He said and I followed him to his office.
He gave me the uniform and we went to the rec room which was dark. "Surprise!" Everyone shouted and the lights cut on to reveal a party.
"Thank you guys and by the way I proposed to Jasmine last night and the ceremony is tonight at 8:30 if you want to come." I told the captain and he said he would get everyone there.
I got me a slice of cake and ate it and then I had to go so I said bye to everyone. I got my uniform and put it in the passenger seat of my hummer and got in and left. On the drive back I thought about how Jasmine would look at the ceremony tonight. She would no doubt be beautiful.
I got in the garage and parked the hummer. I walked inside and saw my dad sitting at the kitchen table reading the paper and drinking coffee. "Hey dad." I said and he looked up from his paper.
"Lucas how's everything going?" He asked. "Everything's great, got promoted to commander, they rewarded me the Medal of Honor for saving the captain, and I have my mating ceremony tonight so everything is perfect." I told him.
He got up and hugged me and then asked to see the medal and my new uniform so I took him to my office and carried the uniform with me so I could put it in the cabinet that I built for it so it won't wrinkle.
I got the box with my medal out and handed it to dad so he could look at it. "I'm proud of you Lucas." He said handing the medal back to me and I placed it back on the shelf in the top of the cabinet.
I was going to wear my uniform for tonight so I don't need to buy a tuxedo and I told the captain and the rest of the team they could wear their uniforms. I had invited the pack through the mind link and I had to get the decorations for the ceremony.
We were going to have it at the center so I needed outdoor lights, maybe build a gazebo with some of my other pack members since it would be nice to have one anyway, and get tables for food. I told Jake to come to my office through the mind link and he came in a minute later.
"I need you to get these things and take Tala with you, she'll know what lights to get when she sees them." I told him giving him a list of things we needed. "Okay will do." He said and went to get Tala and leave.
I mind linked my warriors and told them to meet me at the center with tools and boards and they said they would. I met with them at the center with a hammer in hand.
"We need to build a gazebo and we need to build it in time for tonight." I told them. "Yes alpha." They all said.
We started building the floor at the side of the center and we were done with that in an hour and then we started on the columns for the roof and I told one of the men to get some shingles and he went to get some from lowes.
It took him 20 minutes to get there and back. We had sandwiches for lunch when he got back with the shingles and then we got back to work. I let my wings out so I could work on the roof and they passed the boards for the framework up.
When I got the roof built I started putting shingles up and the others got ladders so they could help with it. We got finished by 6:00 p.m. and Tala and Jake were back with the things we needed.
We started decorating the area and sat up the tables at the back and then started setting benches and chairs out. I told Jake he could be my best man and Tala was Jasmine's bridesmaid.
I asked the little girl I had met a few times if she wanted to be the flower girl and she said she did while nodding her head happily. It was about 7:00 by the time we were done decorating and setting everything up so I went to shower and get ready.
I met dad in the living room when I got inside and he said Jasmine asked him to give her away. "Well what did you say?" I asked him. "I said yes of course I wouldn't want her to walk alone." He said and I nodded my head in approval.
I went up to my office to get my uniform and medals and went to my bathroom to get a shower. I got out of my shower and put a towel around me and brushed my teeth and then I went to my bedroom to get dressed.
By the time I was ready it was 7:45 and I went downstairs. I found Tala making some food for the feast after the ceremony and it smelled delicious. I told her she could invite Ruvel and she did. I heard a knock on the door and figured it was my Navy team since I was expecting them to be here about now.
"I got it." I told Tala and went to answer the door. "Welcome captain, the ceremony is going to be in the center so if you want to head over there now you can. There are probably some of the pack members already there. The front benches are reserved for you and the others and my family." I told him and he went with the rest to the center.
It was 8:00 so I helped Tala get the food out and put it on the table. It was 8:20 when we got that done so I told dad to tell mom and Jasmine to be ready. I couldn't wait to see Jasmine, mom said I couldn't see her until it was time to so I couldn't tell them myself.
I got on the gazebo with 5 minutes to spare and the whole pack was there. Mom walked in just as the music was starting and she sat in her seat in the front.
Jasmine's pov:
I walked down the aisle with Sam. To say I was nervous was an understatement I was terrified something would go wrong. What if I tripped? I looked at Lucas and he looked hot standing on a gazebo I think was new and when I got up there we said our vows.
Lucas's pov:
Everyone stood and I saw dad leading the most beautiful creature on earth down the aisle with the flower girl in front of them. She was in a dress that had rhinestones along the top and it flared out a little at the bottom and she looked beautiful in it.
We had the vows memorized and when she got up here I said mine.
"I swear to be there in your time of need, to be your protector, and to be your one and only. There will be no other for me but you and I will provide your needs and will keep no secrets. I will love you unconditionally and never hurt you. I love you Jasmine." And then she said hers then we put the rings on each other's fingers and we kissed when directed to.
Everyone clapped as we got off the gazebo and then we went to eat. I sat with Jasmine at our table and we ate what we had on our plates.
We said our goodbyes to everyone and went up to our room. We got out of our clothes and hung them up and got into bed. "You ready?" I asked her we were going to complete the mating process meaning I would bite her where her neck and shoulder meet leaving my mark. "Yes, I'm ready." She said.
I started trailing kisses from her mouth down her neck and left a lingering kiss where I would mark her. My canines lengthened and I sunk my teeth in. She whimpered in pain and then pleasure.
I pulled back to study my mark, it was turning into a tattoo of a black wolf with a white leg and white tipped tail on an anchor with the letters L and J below it. It was perfect.
"How does it look?" She asked me. "It looks perfect just like you." I told her and then, well you can imagine what happened next.
