It was summer. The sun reflected across the clouds that revealed very much of its beautiful silver lining. I stood there on the front porch of our new house in the woods. I guess the memories that happened here cannot be replaced and we will still be coming back.
It was hard being the center of news and stuff but after a month of non-sense interviews and still unanswered questions, we managed to live normally again.
I felt an arm around my shoulder. It was Eddie. Althrough everything, he was always there. I leaned on his shoulder and lifted up my hand, with the back of my hand facing us.
"Its been a while since I looked at this mark," I said as the mark glistened up a bit because of the heat. It was still there, like a tattoo engraved on my skin.
"And this," he said reaching for my Ruby necklace. Well, it was no longer Ruby-colored, it was pale and almost transparent.
"Why don't we take a walk," I asked as I held his hand and lead him to the place where it all began.
"Anywhere you want babe. " I blushed a bit. He can always make me turn red and make my stomach twist and turn.
"Here." I stopped and he stopped just behind me.
"In the middle of nowhere?," he asked scanning the place.
I scanned the area where I saw the blinding light as well. I let go of his hand and stood in the very exact place. I looked down and a plant was there. It's the Fire flower that Apoy gave my Father. I fell to my knees as I admired the beauty of it.
"Its a flower for the death of the old me. " I inhaled.
"And the birth of the new you." I loved how Eddie never asks too much of questions.
"Come and sit with me." I tapped the place beside me and Eddie free falled himself to the grass. I laughed and lied down like him. My head in his chest as he gently stroked my hair.
"How's Susan?," he asked.
"She's fine. She's friends with Jojo again and I believe there are rumours of him proposing again. I can't resent being excited. " I giggled.
"I love you, Michelle," he said.
"Out of the blue?," I asked as I raised my head and my face was inches away from his.
"It can come from anywhere, anytime and anything cause I always and will always will." With that my lips seemed to gravitate towards him. He sat up and pulled me close to him but never left my lips as our mouth synced with each other as if they were waiting for this.
I pulled away catching my breath.
"What if another meteor falls down and brings another chaos to Earth?," I asked wondering what will he say and also to stop him from kissing my neck cause I am getting goose bumps.
"Then, we will be in it together. Next time, we will be the dynamic duo. What do you think?"
"Awesome. Why don't we get something to eat?," I said and we both stood up. Eddie started walking but I stopped to look back again.
This is the kind of past I will always look back at.
It was really a miracle. An out of this world phenomenon that my world changed completely.
Maybe you never know what will happen if you run away, if you don't face it.
Maybe it was waiting for me my whole life.
Maybe that miracle was mine.
