*Lexi's POV*

"Hey Kels, long time no speak."

"Hey Lexi, I need you to do me a favour."

"Yeah sure."

"Can you come over, and can you bring a first aid kit."

"Umm, sure. Is everything okay?"

"Not really, I'll explain when you get here. I can't leave my room, shit's happened. Come through the back door and sneak up the back stairs."

"Oh okay, this sounds serious. I'll be there as soon as I can, see you soon."

Oh fuck. Kelsey ended the call, the beeping ringing out. I stood in shock for a moment before remembering that I needed to go. I grabbed my jacket and headed out the door, grabbing my keys.

"MUM I'M GOING TO KELSEY'S I'LL BE BACK LATER ON." I left the house with shoes and keys in hand. I grabbed my phone from my pocket, dialling Jack's number.

"Hey beautiful." He spoke through the other end.

"Hey I was just calling to say I'm going to have to cancel on tonight, Kelsey needs my help badly. Can we reschedule?"

"Yeah. That's alright, talk to you later. Love you."

"Love you too."

I parked my car just under a block from Kelsey's house, grabbing my bag out and walking down the pathway. I slipped between the two hedges which shielded the neighbours house from Kelsey, after walking a few metres down I pushed through the hedge, revealing the back yard of her house. I slipped up the stairs, bypassing the arguing coming from the kitchen. I knocked gently on Kelsey's door hearing a soft 'come in' from the other side.

*Kelsey's POV*

A sigh of relief escaped my lips as Lexi came into view. I smiled at her, not moving from where I sat on the bed.

"What's wrong?" Lexi asked, walking slowly towards me.

"I need your help. But I also need you to not freak out if I show you something." I breathed out my words. My head felt faint as the pain still radiated from my back.

"What happened to your face?!" Lexi asked, rushing towards me. She knelt on the floor in front of me, her hand resting on my cheek. I took her hand in mine, resting it there for a moment.

"If your face is this bad, how bad is the thing you have to show me?"

"Walk around the bed, and you'll see." I told Lexi, gently pulling her to her feet. I winced slightly as I stretched my back, pulling at some of the shards of glass. Lexi looked down at me. I gave her a nod of assurance. She left my side.

I heard a loud gasp.

"What happened Kelsey?" I heard her whimper through a soft sob.

"Mum and I got into a fight and she started beating me, again and again." Anger raged through my veins. Anger then soon turned into sadness.

"Kels you shouldn't let he-"

"I just need you to help me get cleaned up so Harry doesn't see me. I need you not to lecture me, I just need your help." I blurted, my mind running with my words 200 miles an hour.

"What do you mean so Harry doesn't see you?" Lexi walked back around to my side of the bed, taking a seat next to me.

"Shit happened to him. And I don't want him to know. Can you just help me get cleaned up?" I turned to Lexi, running my hands through my hair in distress.

"I can help you." She sighed finally.

"Thank you." I exclaimed.

"Where do you think we start?" I asked through a sob.

"To begin with. We need to take out the glass. But before that, we need to get you drugged up." Lexi all had all types of drugs, it was like she was the towns dealer, she had all kinds of shit. Lexi handed me two white tablets.

"What are these?"

"Just take them, they'll make the pain go away."

I nodded, taking the pills and the bottle of water she handed me. Downing them both.

A few hours passed, Lexi helped remove the glass shards from my back and helped me through a shower, washing away the blood that had dried to my skin. I got changed into my pajamas, awkwardly with the help of Lexi. Lexi and I sat on my bed, talking about things that had happened rencently. I filled her in in everything that had happened with Harry and she let me know about her boyfriend. It was nice to have a girl's talk after not seeing each other in over 3 weeks.

"I think you should tell Harry Kels, I think he needs to know what she has done. So do the police."

"No it's okay, she's just upset. That's all."

"You can't keep defending her kels! She can't just do this shit and get away with it all the time."

"I don't know what to do." I murmured, the brink of tears almost hitting me. Lexi hugged me, leaning her shoulders in, without touching my back.

"To start. I think you need to tell someone what's been going on."

"I don't know where to start, or who to talk to Lex."

"I don't really know Kels, I'd ask Harry. Maybe he has more of an idea."

"I don't know how to tell him Lex."

"Just give it a go I guess."

I sighed and nodded at Lexi. She handed me my phone. I took it from her, unlocking it and searching for Harry's number.

"Hey Kels, it's late, are you alright?"

"Can we talk?"
