16. Be gone or Be dead

Honestly my mind hasn't really been resting in peace. Steven has been following me everywhere like a lost puppy.

Believe me, I've tried hinting him that his presence is making me uncomfortable but he didn't seem to realize.

"Just tell him off or kick his ass!" Mavis commented.

As much as Steven annoys me, he is my friend. I don't want to lose my friend just because he believes that we are getting married.

Somehow.

This is a huge problem I'm facing right now and I have no idea how to solve it.

What about Joseph? He has the whole pack to handle.

And's that's exactly why I don't want to tell Joseph. The last thing he needs is to know some tiny problem that his girlfriend is having.

"What's wrong Kiki?" Joseph asked me.

"What do you mean?" I asked him.

"You seemed a little out of place these past few days." Joseph pointed out.

"Nothing's wrong." I assured him.

"You know that I can feel whatever you're feeling right now right?"

I totally forgot about that. "Well... it's just some tiny things."

Joseph looked interested.

"But I'm getting the hang of it, don't worry." I assured him.

"Alright... but tell me if anything goes wrong." Joseph kissed me.

I returned the kiss, where we made out for the rest of the evening.

"You sure you're alright?" Joseph asked me when we reached school.

"I'm hundred percent sure." I rolled my eyes before I kissed him.

He pressed me against the side of the car at the same time trying to push his tongue into my mouth.

"Oh god stop it you guys are disgusting! Now I can't get rid of that image out of my head." Mavis crossed her arms.

Joseph pulled back. "At least you don't have to see your sister making out with your bestfriend on the bed." He wrinkled his nose.

Mavis turned red, hitting Marco just as he came over to us. Marco looking confused as to why Mavis hit him all of the sudden.

"What did I do?" Marco rubbed the spot where Mavis hit him. I tried to hide my laughter by pressing my face on Joseph's chest.

"Just treat this like it's porn, starring Joseph and Keira." Nate placed his arm around Mavis' shoulder.

"Ew gross." Mavis pushed his arm away.

"Dude that's my sister you're talking about." Vincent frowned at Nate.

Today has been a great day. No Steven at sight and Joseph has been staying by my side the whole time. We held hands together all the time. He would secretly kiss me during lessons whenever the teacher's back is on us.

It was like a fairytale, maybe a modern one.

Unfortunately, it didn't last long. As usual, the devil will choose to come and ruin the perfect moment. Except the devil is Steven.

"Hey Kiki." Steven stood in front of me.

"Don't call me that." I slammed my locker and faced him.

"Can't I just talk to my fiancee?" He asked.

"Stop that! Firstly we are not engaged. Secondly I gotta go now, I'm kind of late." I walked away.
