You're my umbrella on a rainy day,
You're the silver lining on the clouds in the sky,
You're my light in a world of darkness.
You're the hope I've lost,
You're the joy to my sadness,
You're there to ease my pain,
You're the one there when I'm alone,
You're the one there to help me up when I've fallen,
You're the stars in the night sky.
Darling, I don't think you know just how much I need you.

"Hey! It's Riley! Sorr-" I hang up, not wanting to wait to go through that whole thing. I sigh deeply, looking down. I soon hear my phone ding from a text message. "Hey! Sorry I couldn't answer the phone, my dad's just lecturing me about life or whatever at the moment. You can come over if you like! Hope to see you soon!" Reading that causes a smile to make its way onto my face. I soon grab my sketchbook and pencil, I feel artsy today. I just want to start drawing and see what comes out. I grab my stuff, soon going to Riley's, entering through her window. I look around, not seeing her anywhere in sight. So I decide to wait at the window and start drawing. I open up my sketchbook, putting pencil to paper, making lines, seeing something being made. But I don't notice anything around me, I'm so focused on my picture, but I'm not. I'm focused, but not on what I'm drawing. I'm focused on my thoughts, finding where they go, where they wander off to. But no matter what my mind wanders to, they always go back to the same person. I can't help but think of them. "Maya! You're here!" I'm broken back to reality by Riley's soft voice. I soon look up from my drawing, seeing a warm smile on her face, causing a smile to rise upon mine. "Riley, what took you so long?" I questioned. She soon walks up to me, sitting next to me at the window. "My dad was getting really into the lecture he was giving me. But I enjoyed it, I got something out of it. Many things actually." "So, whad'ya get out of it?" I questioned. She looks down slightly, smiling. "My feelings. I understand who I truely am. I don't like Lucas, he's just my brother. It's okay liking who I do." My eyes widen. "Who.. Do you like then?" She looks at me for a second, a serious expression plastered onto her face. Soon, her lips curl into a gentle smile. "It's a secret!" She says playfully as she bops my nose. Soon, Riley looks at my sketchbook, pursing her lips slightly. "Did you draw something?" She questioned. I nod. "Yeah, I did. While I was waiting for you." "What'd you draw?" She asked, tilting her head slightly like a puppy. I open my sketchbook to the page, my eyes widen upon seeing that picture. I didn't actually know what I drew, I was so consumed in my thoughts. It turns out, I drew Riley.
