So, a barbecue. Shirley said.

I’m already looking forward to it. Denise commented and we ran home. I didn’t say anything. I realised that my heart was racing. Because He will also be at the barbecue, and that made me very nervous.

It was the day of the barbecue and I knew I’ve never been so nervous in my entire life. And that says something, if you look at mine and Lindsey’s life. We, Denise, Laila and me, were in my room, chatting around

‘How would they look? I heard that the Alpha and the Beta are quite young.’ Laila said excited. Denise rolled her eyes. ‘Seriously, I would almost say you were the guy. That you were the one that thinks and looks with his member.’ Laila pushed her which made her laugh.

‘The Alpha looked pretty young, yes.’ I confessed. I didn’t know it from the Beta, his posture, attitude and the colour of his coat told me he was quite young. When you get older, your coat and attitude changed. Your coat lost his shine and your attitude changed because of old age but the last thing only happen when you are really, really old.

Meanwhile I hadn’t told them that I thought that who was the Beta, was my mate. I was excited, but also scared. What if he was one of those arrogant jerks? What if he was like Joshua? If he was, then I’d be gone, without a second thought.

‘Ladies, are you going to stay here or are you going home? It’s mine and James’ turn to walk around’. ‘We’re going home to get our stuff and come back to get ready, is that okay?’ Laila asked. ‘Yeah, sure. Than we can leave together, even though it isn’t that far away.’ Denise and Laila laughed quietly. ‘Then that’s settled!’ They said, and went home.

I walked quickly to the forest, undressed and changed. I tried to make contact with James, but he wasn’t there yet, so I started already.

Well, that’s the first time your first. I heard him say.

Still not fine? Even when I am on time you have something to say .I snapped.

Whoa, calm down, Alex! Are you nervous? James asked me.

Nervous for what?

What do you think? He asked dryly.

He was one of the only ones who knew I found my mate. He kept It quiet for the rest of the pack and Ben. I wanted to know more about him before Ben came with a bunch of questions. If he’s horrible, I’ll turn him down and then I'll see what happens next.

I’m super nervous. I admitted.

It’ll be fine. He said comforting. After our conversation we ran around in silence and looked around thoroughly. After running around for a while, we decided to go back. When we arrived we noticed that on the way to the lake and Bens house, there were a lot of tables and chairs for the barbecue.

The girls had already arrived, and while chatting we prepared ourselves for the barbecue. Laila noticed that I was nervous and that I tried to hide it.

‘Is everything alright?’ She asked me before we went to the barbecue. ‘I’m fine.’ I told her and faked a smile. But to be honest I was deadly nervous, and we walked outside.

Everything’s going to be alright, sis! I heard Lindsay say al of a sudden.

I hope so.
