She was hurling herself through the forest, as fast as her legs would carry. Her need for survival was crucial not for herself no, but for her four year old daughter that was bundled up in her arms. She was terrified; she would get caught before she could get her daughter to safety, after that she didn't care what would happen to her. She continued on, her lungs burning for air but she refused to stop. She would be at the territory line soon, and then she would cross into no man's land.

She arrived shortly after, and without a moment notice she crossed entering neutral land. Here, she could protect her daughter from the man who wanted to take her. He couldn't have her, she thought as she pulled her daughter closer to her. She kept running just for safe measure, he was a thirty-seven year old man and he couldn't have her. After she was sure she was a safe enough distance, she stopped running and started looking for a place to rest. She found a nice tree with a canopy like branch high up, and thought this would be the safest because she would be out of sight. Once she was up and tucked in safely she brought her daughter closer and drifted off to sleep.

What felt like sometime later, she was awoken by voices, she noticed her daughter was stirring as well. She stayed completely still and once her daughter had opened her eyes, she motioned for her to be still and not make a sound. Her daughter instantly understood she may only be four but she was much more mentally and physically developed than your average four year old. She turned her head and looked to where to voices where coming from and instantly paled, standing and talking with the pack warriors was the man that had demanded her daughter not two days prior.

"The trail ends here Alpha, she must have had a scent masker" stated Bryn the third in command. I looked back at Alpha Daniels and he looked absolutely murderous. It was a few moments before he spoke, but when he finally did it sent shivers down my spine.

"I don't care how long it takes me, she will be MINE" he roared. He turned and was heading to the territory line. I didn't move a muscle in fear of him still being close. It was sometime later that I deemed it to be safe to move further away. As I held my daughter tight on the way down my mind was racing with thoughts. I figured he would let us go once we were gone, but how very wrong had I been. I had to do something to make sure he never found her; I couldn't let him have her. I wouldn't let him have her, it was then and there that my mind was made up and I would have to make him believe she was dead.

While I was hurrying threw the forest, I looked down and noticed my daughter was awake and looking up at me.

"Momma I'm hungry" she told me. How could I forget food?

"Don't worry baby, I will find us some food shortly" I told her instantly surveying my surroundings. About a mile after I found a bush of berries, I picked a couple and examined them to make sure they were safe. After trying one I concluding that they were harmless and picked enough for me and her eat. After we had finished up, I scoped her up and sat her in my lap.

"Baby, do you remember a while ago when you went to the pack doctor and he drew some blood form your arm" I asked her. I felt her shiver and she nodded her head yes clearly remembering. I felt like the worst mother in the world for what I was about to do, but it was the only way I could protect her from that man. I knew what I was going to do would hurt my daughter emotionally, but if it kept her safe I knew it would be worth it.

"Momma's going to have to take some blood from you too baby. I promise to be very gentle" I told her as I hugged her. I pulled back to look at her face and seen tears streaming out of her eyes. It shattered my heart to see her like this, but I had to do, it would ensure her safety and that's all that mattered. I reached behind me and took the backpack off my back, I opened it and in side were two blood bags and a needle to draw blood with. I know I forget food but bring medical supplies with me, I mentally curse myself.
