Chapter 9 Danger

We we're all sitting around the dinner table enjoying this amazing meal. It was bacon hamburgers with seasoned fries, simple yes but amazing. I was seated next to my mate and our thighs we touching under the tables. I looked around at my family, everyone was happy; this is how everyday was supposed to be. I was in such happiness, I looked over at my mate and smiled, he was such an amazing person. I reached for his hand and squeezed it. He looked over at me and smiled at me, it made butterflies in my stomach.

"I'll be right back, just going to change into something more comfortable" I told him as I leaned over waiting for him to press his lips to mine, he leaded down and gave me what I wanted.

"Hurrying back, I'll miss you" he told me as I was walking to the stairs, I smiled at him over my shoulder. I made my way up to my mother's room and headed for the closet, I grabbed a pair of cute shorts and a matching pj shirt. I changed right in the closet and walked out and closed the door. I caught a scent that didn't belong here I sniffed and followed the scent to my mother's bathroom and when I open the door and walked in I looked around, I whirred around when I heard the door slam behind me, there he was the man I never wanted to see again. Alpha Daniels was standing their holding a silver knife, shit.

Jason's P.O.V-

My beautiful mate had left to go and get some comfortable clothes on, and I already missed her. I don't know how I have lived without her; I already loved her and would do anything to protect her. It had been quite a while since she has been gone and I started to get worried.

"Mate, our mate is in danger" my wolf Toby yelled at me, and then we heard. We heard the blood curdling scream bubble out of her mouth. I jumped up and so did every high ranking wolf and ran with wolf speed, to find my mate. I followed her scent to what looked like her mother's room and when I open the door, I was hit with the scent of my mate blood. I ran toward the smell, it was coming from the bathroom. When I open the door the scene hit me like a wrecking ball, laying on the floor was my beautiful mate, there was a silver knife protruding from her chest. I ran over to her kneeled down next to her, I grab the handle of the silver knife and pulled it out. I picked her up and rush her to the pack doctor and he was waiting for her, he said I needed to wait out in the hallway so he could work on her without being attacked so unwillingly for my mate I stepped into the hallway. I broke down and crumpled to my knees, I just found her, and she had to be okay. I've failed as a mate, somebody already hurt her, and I wasn't there to stop him. I pulled myself up and sat in one of the chairs, until the anger took hold and I went to find Alpha Seth to find out who did this. As I passed people they got right out of my way no one messes with and Alpha, especially when their mate was just attacked. I found Seth, his mother and father his Beta and his sister, I also found my Beta and third trying to find out what happen to her. As I walked everyone could see the look on my face and quieted down, I knew they could tell I was crying but I need to find out who did this so they could never do it again.

"Who did this" I said with my Alpha voice.

"Alpha Daniel's the Alpha of the Lunar Pack" stated said sadly. I growled and Alpha knew how important a Luna was, how dare he.

"Why" I said and you could hear the agony in his voice.

"Let her mother Helen explain" he said as he pointed to her mother, I looked over at her and seen she was crying as well. I went over to her and gave her a hug and we sat down on the chairs.

"KaiLeigh may not look like it but she's only four year old" he mother started out, I looked at her like she was crazy, but when I looked around I could see everyone was serious.

"My mate died before I found out I was pregnant, I wanted to die then I found out about KaiLeigh. I knew I needed to be strong for her, when she was born she became my life. My wolf is KaiLeigh's wolf mom, it is very rare but it does happen, me and my wolf became so protective of her, we lived a good life until Alpha Daniel's ruined it. Three and a half months ago, KaiLeigh was but a mere four year old, but mentally much older. I raised my daughter to be smart, she knew how to read and write, talk in proper pronunciation, and was fitter than teen wolfs. I was playing with her in the yard and Alpha Daniel's approached us, he claimed that KaiLeigh was his, and that I had but two days two hand her over, but I couldn't. I escaped with her to no man land and hid us in a tree, I heard him talking about how he would never give up on finding her, so I went to drastic measures to keep her safe. I took blood form her and convinced the Alpha I had killed her. I thought he was going to kill me but instead he decided to take me prisoner and make me live with what I had done. He put her pictures all around my cell, and came down every day to rub it in my face. I was down there for three months and finally my wolf told me she was coming to rescue me. When a warrior came down to get me and told me someone was here to challenge the Alpha for my safe release. I as brought outside and there she stood, I didn't know who she was until she explained I to the Alpha. She made her terms loop hole free and then they fought. She drew first blood and made him submit, and she carried me on her back, back to safety. When we got back here she explained that her wolf speed up her aging to help the training along to come and get me, she shifted at four years old, which has never been seen before. Alpha Daniel's told her isn't wasn't over, we knew he would come but not this soon. I think he did this because he was embarrassed because she made him submit to her, and know he will pay for this with his life" she finished and I was at a loss for words. My beautiful mate was such a kind and loyal woman, she's already done so much and for that I'm proud. I will go to Alpha Daniels and challenge him to fight to the death.
