I silently cried as I watch them dragged my unconscious mother away, just like I promised her, I didn't make any sound. Once they were gone I just cried, they took my momma, and they took her because of that man. I had hoped that she would be alive until I was strong enough to go and rescue her; she wouldn't be there if it wasn't for me. I knew my mother loved me with everything she had in her and she had just scarified everything for me. I thought for sure that they were going to kill her, she would have given her life for me and it's only right I risk mine trying to get her back. The Alpha said she would live, and that was all the hope I needed, one day I vow to get her back.

I reached around me and took the backpack off my back; I unzipped it and reached inside to grab the letter my mother told me would be there. With shaky hands I flipped it around, and open the envelope I pulled out the letter that was inside. As I opened the letter a picture fell into my lap, I picked it up at stared at the picture. My mother had taken this picture only three days ago; it was of the both of us. I stared at my face, I looked so happy with my cute auburn hair in two little pigtails. My dimples stuck out as I smiled big, my big bright green eyes were filled with such happiness. Then I looked at my mother, she looked so happy and beautiful. She was wearing a white sundress that went well with her long blonde hair. Her dimples stood out as well as she smiled down at me and it reached all the way to her blue eyes. I couldn't tell you how long I sat there and memorized every laugh line and her perfect straight nose, her heart shaped face. After what felt like forever I finally picked up the note and opened it and began to read.

"My little angel, I want you to know how much I love you. From the moment that man demanded I give you to him, I knew you were no longer safe staying with the pack. After your father died I couldn't bare life, I wanted nothing more than to join him. When I found out I was pregnant I was scared. Your father was already gone and I didn't think I could do it all by myself. Your father would be so proud, in a way he gave me the best part of him. When I looked at you after you were born I thanked him for giving me something so precious. You saved my life; I knew as your mother I had a job to do, protect you even if it means losing my life. I'm so very sorry for what you had to see, but there was no other way, I did the only thing that would stop him from every looking for you again. I made him believe I killed you; it broke my heart knowing I would be leaving you forever. Just knowing that you're safe from him, I gladly gave it up; I would not under any circumstances let him take you. I know I have just been killed and you had to see it, and I know you're scared. I need you to be a big girl and do something for me; it's a two hour journey to the pack where I was born into. Your uncle Seth Dumont is the Alpha of The Moon Tide pack; you have never met him also your grandparents are there as well. When it's safe to move I need you to get there as fast as you can. My parents knew I was pregnant but I lost touch when my mate died, they will take care of you and keep you safe. I need you to explain what has happened, when you get to the pack cross the territory line and sit and wait. When somebody discovers you let them know you need to speak directly with Alpha Seth Dumont, Former Alpha and Luna Mark and Marie Dumont, tell no one but them, show them the picture and live life to the fullest. Make every day count; find your mate, and get married and one day start a family. I want you to know you're the best thing that has ever happened to me in my entire life and I wouldn't change anything. I want you to know I love you with everything I have in me and don't regret what has happened. Know go baby girl and be safe -Love Momma always and forever.

When I finished reading the note I was bawling my eyes out, I knew my mother loved me, but this what she did for me I will get her back no matter how long it took to get her back. I knew I needed to get to this pack and fast, so I quickly stuffed the note; my blanket into the backpack zipped it up and started my journey. I shuffled quickly down the tree and bolted as fast as I could in the direction I was told. My Momma said it would be a two hour journey, but with the speed I was running it looked like it would be maybe an hour and a half a best. When I smelt the new territory coming up, I slow my pace so I would be able to explain what I needed to.
