Chapter 3 Changing

After the shock wore off of my shifting at the young age of four, which naturally was unheard of. They brought me clothes as instructed me on how to shift back, once back in human form the questions would not stop coming.

"All of your questions will be answered, but I ask that we take this someplace more private" as I was nearly naked and didn't want everyone to know my business. I followed Uncle Seth and Grandma and Papa as well as Ray up to his office so we could talk. Once safety in his office we all sat down and everyone trained their eyes on me.

"KaiLeigh do you know how you were able to shift at your age" my Uncle asked very carefully. I let out the breathe that felt like it was stuck forever, and started to answers their questions.

"Yes" I simply answered. I could tell that everyone was waiting for me to respond with how.

"After dinner I heard this strange voice in my head, the voice was that of my wolf. Her name is Saphira, and she gave me a choice. I could shift now and get my Momma that much sooner or I could wait, I told her I wanted to shift now. If I can train my wolf form my early age by the time I'm ready I will be unstoppable" I explained. I could feel the confusion as it was so thick. It was a while before anyone spoke again.

"KaiLeigh.. What do you mean by unstoppable" he asked curiously.

"I mean I am the only one that has ever shifted at this age. My wolf and I are special, how I don't know just yet. She explained that I and I alone will be able to save my Momma, she told me that I had to train, and I will, starting tomorrow" I finished explaining. My voice held an emotion that I was not to be questioned.

"Well don't you think your just a little young to be training" my Uncle said very carefully.

I felt pure rage bubbling inside of me and I could tell my face reflected that, before I could stop myself I let out a menacing roar and before I could stop it my wolf took control. I felt my eyes change to what color I was unsure of but then my wolf spoke.

"You dare stop us from getting back our mother" Saphira said in my voice with a little more huskiness to it. She tilted my head to the side looking at them with patronizing glare.

"You have no idea who you're messing with, we alone can save our mother and if you interfere with that we will have a problem" she finished smugly as their faces held fear.

"My human and I will develop gifts as we train and by the age of twelve, we will be ready to save our mother" my wolf finished as I felt her give me back control. I looked at all of them apologetically, my wolf meant well.

"I'm sorry she's just a bit antsy, you see my mother's wolf is her mother's wolf witch doesn't happen very often" I explained and I didn't know how I knew that but I just did.

"That's because all of my memories I share with you know you won't know it you'll just say them and they will feel right" my wolf explained to me.

I looked over at my family and I loved them, really I did but they needed to know I wasn't going to be myself until my momma can home.

"I love you all really I do, but I need my momma and I don't care if that means I let my wolf take over until further notice. So tomorrow morning when I let my wolf take control I won't be getting it back until I'm on my way to retrieve our momma" I stated as I walked out of the office before anyone could object. I made my way to an empty room and climbed onto the bed and fell asleep thinking of that glorious day when my momma would be laying right beside me.

When I awoke the next day I didn't have control over my body, I was letting my wolf teach me how watch and observe. I sat up well rather my wolf in control sat me up as I began my first day of training. As I made my way over to the bathroom I realized I didn't fell right, my body sore like I had a growth spurt and when my wolf looked into the mirror I realized why.

I didn't look like my former four year old self; instead looking back at me was a girl that looked to be at least thirteen.

"Worry not my precious KaiLeigh, while we sleep I activated the aging gene so we could become far stronger faster" my wolf said out loud so I could hear her. She looked back into the mirror as I studied myself. All the roundness in my face was gone; I have in hearted my mother's heart shaped face. My body was lean and firm, sensing the muscle that was longing to be built, I also had my mother's pink lips, I didn't recognize the chin nor eye shape guessing that it had belonged to my father. My long auburn hair hung long, all the way down my back straight as a pin What intrigued me the most we're my eyes, well my wolf's eyes, no longer the familiar green it was replaced with slightly shining red eyes, I had never before seen red eyes.

"KaiLeigh the eyes will still be the beautiful green once I give you back control, if we train every day the hardest we can we will be ready in six months' time" she reassured me, knowing that having my mother back in six months' time was a possibility I knew I would do everything and anything to make it happen. My wolf stripped us and jumped in the shower, there was body wash for men and woman as well as shampoo and conditioner. My wolf cleaned us well and then hoped out, she went searching for a towel and found one quickly in to the cupboard next to the sink. She grabbed one out and wrapped it around us and looked under the sink and there was a brush, tooth brush and toothpaste, having to give it to my Uncle Seth, the rooms was well stocked for visitors.

Seeing as we had really good luck in the bathroom we figured there would be clothes as well, so we made our way over to the closet and opened it. Bingo, the whole right side was stocked for woman and the left for men. We went to the right side and quickly found a sports bra, and some jogging pants and trainers. We searched for clean panties and found some bikini cuts and picked a pair of ankle socks, gathered everything up and shut the closet. I made my way over to the bed placed everything on there and started to dress myself. Once fully clothed, I went over to the vanity mirror searching for and elastic to put our long hair into a pony tail. After our hair was securely up, we made our way to the door to head down to breakfast and training after that.

We quickly made our way to the dining room, seeing as our legs were much longer now, as I entered I seen the whole pack there. We made our way to the front of the table, and we took the chair that was empty next to Papa. We could feel many eyes boring into us as we piled food onto our plate, as we started eating I heard Uncle Seth clearing his throat, my eyes snapped over to his.

"Excuse me pup, but head of the table is for Alpha and Beta families only" he sated with authority in his voice

"I suggest you go find your family and sit with them" he continues adding just the littlest touch of Alpha voice. We looked at him absolutely studded. I was getting angry how did he not know it was me.

"KaiLeigh, we have grown you must remember that" Saphira told me in my head. Oh yes I forgot, no wonder they do recognize me.

"Uncle Seth, it is Saphira and KaiLeigh, I've speed up our ageing gene to make the training faster" Saphira explained to my Uncle, I knew all of the pack had heard because we all have excellent hearing. I quickly ate the rest of my food the rushed out to start my training.

It was getting dark by the time we finished training. We ran around the pack twice, so in total 50 miles, we then did over a thousand sit ups and crunches. We also spent some time in the gym with the boxing bag. We were sweaty and exhausted as we made our way back to the pack house. We smelt dinner and we rushed to our seat, same one form breakfast. We pulled anything we could get onto our plates and stuffed our faces as fast as we could, it didn't take long to finish we nodded respectfully at my family and rushed up stairs to take a shower. We made our way to the closet to find a pair of pajamas and found a pair of shorts and t-shirt, we made our way to the bathroom to take a quick shower. Once we were finished and all dried up we made our way over to the bed. We were completely drained, we trained one hundred percent today and it was only our first day. We were finally in bed resting and just as I was about to fall asleep when my wolf spoke.

"With the way were going, we will have our mother back much sooner than six months. Every night while you slumber I will give you the fighting knowledge from all my past humans and you will also age slowly from day to day. When It comes time to take back our mother, you will look to be at least sixteen. Rest well KaiLeigh we have a lot of work to do in the next couple of months" she said very lowly as she too was exhausted.

"Good night Saphira" I mumbled as I fell into a dreamless sleep.
