As we are running away on a back road I hear the flapping of wings and see a feather fall from the sky. It belonged to some sort of bird but I couldn't see it because it had gotten dark really fast today, even though it was only about 7 o'clock it look as if it were 10 at night. As I look up I can see that the fascinating stars are starting to come out once again. We stop for a minute since we are pretty far away from where the agents were and then I hear it. A soft growl comes from behind a bush, then a dog comes out. The growl had belonged to a German Shepherd, it's not very big but that doesn't matter cause i'm still terrified of German Shepherds and I don't want to stay any longer.
"L-let's go!"
"What are you scared of a little dog Yuka?"
"Yes, that and I just heard footsteps."
Something I find funny is that I hate running and yet I seem to do a lot of that in a day, at least it's better when I have someone with me. We continue running for another block and then I hear the banging of a hammer, or at least that's what is sounded like to me.
"Umm... Landon do you know anyone who would be hammering something at this late hour? Is that normal? Or should I be concerned?"
"I don't know." He pauses a moment and I hear a coin drop behind us and we begin running again. I just can't seem to get a break now can I?
"I'm so tired, we need to find a place to stop and sleep fast or I won't be able to run anymore."
"Okay, where should we go Yuka?"
"I don't know, maybe we can go to Carson's house. He doesn't live too far away from here."
"Sounds good with me."
We hurried as fast as we could to get to his house and luckily he was home and let us spend the night in his extra bedroom. That was the best I had slept in weeks, I ended up falling asleep almost instantly. When I woke up I had borrowed Carson's bathroom so I could take a shower, that was way overdue, I really smelt bad. I honestly can't remember the last time I showered.
We left Carson's house at about noon, we didn't want to stay too long, I feared that if we did we would just put him in more danger. We sprinted to the nearest grocery store so we could refill our food supply that we carried in our backpacks and that's where I met the identical twin agents. These girls were fully equipt with gadgets of all kinds which meant that we were in some serious trouble. No, make that double. They even had guns, I really hate guns. I spend too much time staring at the barrel of them, seems every time I encounter one it's pointed at me so I really didn't want to stay long.
"Landon, what do we do this time? I'm out of ideas."
"Well if they don't see us then they can't catch us right? So let's make sure they don't see us."
Ducking from isle to isle, hiding behind shoppers, carts, shelves, you name it. The plan was working great until we reached to door to leave and then they spotted us and we were forced to run once again. But this time I knew exactly where to go.
"Follow me, I know where we need to go."
"I don't know what your plan is but I sure hope that it's a good one."
"Oh, it will be."
I lead him to an abandoned house at the edge of town. Now I know what you're thinking, why in the heck are you going to an abandoned house? Well it's simple, the people who had previously owned this house had collected keys and when they left they had left some of them behind. I figure that since everyone is after my key I can by some time by giving them a fake key. I sure hope this will work because I really don't have any better ideas.
Once we enter the house we go into the master bedroom and there we find the motherload of keys. There were keys in drawers, keys on the wall, keys in frames. And I found one that look quite similar to mine, hopefully they won't notice the difference and I can find a safe place to hide for the rest of my life, or at least until this all dies down.
"Landon, what if this doesn't work? What'll we do then?"
"I don't know, let's just hope this works."
The key is in place and I can see them coming so I run to a bedroom and hide leaving a note saying that I give up and they can have the key along with the decoy key on the front porch. Landon and I quickly hides in the closet just in case they come in. It's very small barely big enough for the two of us to fit in, the good news is that we can spend this time trying to figure out where to go as soon as we get out. Unfortunately our plans were short lived. Because we began to leave too soon and they were still there and didn't want to deal with me anymore. I hear a bang and feel a lot of pain in my leg, and see red spewing uncontrollably then everything goes black.

ActionThis is a story I started in 9th grade in my English class. I decided it would be fun to transfer it here so you can all read it and give me some pointers and ideas in hopes to improve what I have thus far.
