Tom gave me a small smile before motioning for me to follow him inside a building. We both carried our belongings with us.
The awning above the main entrance was a deep royal green color with gold letters in a cursive hand in the middle.
My eyes skimmed over them, reading and translating inside my own mind as I looked up to view it.
'Bella Notte' meaning beautiful night. A somewhat cliche name for something in France. Tom opened the door for me.
As soon as he did this, food fumes instantly filled my nostrils, causing me to realize just how hungry I really was.
We both walked inside and were greeted by a small brunette girl looking around her mid twenties.
"Bonsoir messieurs. Puis-je vous montrer à vos sièges?" she questioned, wondering if she could take us to our seats.
"Oui. Merci." I confirmed, following swiftly behind her and Thomas at the end of the little 'train.' She took us towards the back.
We had walked through a very busy room with green and golden walls to match the outside shade.
She sat us in a booth in the corner with leather seats and a glazed wooden table. It was a very lovely restaurant.
After handing us a few menus to survey she began to speak again, confusing poor Tom to no end... he really needs to learn this language.
"Eric sera avec vous dans un moment de prendre vos commandes." smiled the hostess, awaiting my answer.
"What did she say about Eric?" asked Tom with a raised eyebrow.
"She said some guy named Eric is going to come and take our orders." I explained to my good friend. His eyes got wide, and he was now addressing the woman.
"No." he told her, causing her to look confused but then she finally understood what he had meant.
"Juliet." he uttered the name with a smile, glancing at me to take in my own newly found confusion.
"Oh! Bon alors Juliet va vous servir ce soir." she was speaking to me, catching the fact I was the one who knew what she was talking about.
I nodded, and then turned to my now smiling friend. I looked at him, wondering what the hell he was playing at.
"Who's Juliet?" I interrogated him, looking over the menu and finding something I wished to eat. Everything looked good.
He opened his mouth as if to speak but before he could answer the question another girl came over to us.
She was dressed similar yet different to the hostess. She wore a white button up shirt with a black tie and a black skirt.
She had dark brown hair and piercing green eyes that you could almost get lost in. Her smile was intoxicating.
"Juliet!" exclaimed the idiot to my right. I glanced over at him, quickly returning my eyes to the beauty before me.
She looked young however. Perhaps a teenage girl? She was probably the most stunning human being I had ever met in my entire life.
This was my moment. I had to speak to her, which wouldn't be difficult considering she was a friend of my own mate.
"Juliet- Michael. Michael- Juliet." he introduced us. She held out her hand, now looking straight at me.
I'm not one to blush, but I felt suddenly self conscience and embarrassed in front of this girl who didn't even know me.
"Enchanté mademoiselle." I took her hand and gently kissed the top of it like a very cheesy line in a romantic movie.
