Chapter 5: through the eyes of the Ice Queen

Weiss was sitting in her seat waiting for the class to start making sure she had everything in perfect condition. Because if it isn't perfect, you are a failure. While she was rummaging through her school bad she still had the feeling someone was watching her. "Oh, hey Weiss!" said an annoyingly familiar voice...

Earlier that morning...

BEEP, BEEP! BEEP, BEEP!

...

BEEP, BEEP! BEEP, BEEP!

Weiss smacked the snooze button on her alarm clock. She sat up and swung her legs over the side of her bed. She looked over to a chair in the corner of her room and there sat a her clothing she would wear for the day. To be truthful it pisses Weiss off, the habit her maid had to put clothes out even when Wisee told her she is fully capable of doing it herself. " Mh, I'll just have to remind her."

After she was done getting change she walked into the bathroom and got prepared to go to school, once she was completely done getting ready she grabbed her school bag and made her way down a large hallway and out the front door of her house. There was a white limo waiting outside for her, once she was inside of it she told the driver to take her to school. "Of course my lady." he responded.

Weiss would live in a dorm but her house is only ten minutes away by car and she'd rather live in a house that her parents are never around in then to be roomies with some random creep. The ten minutes went by fairly fast in the silence of the limo. Once she made her way to class room and realized just how early it was when she saw no one else had shown up yet, she looked at the clock on the wall it read 6:30 am. "Well, being punctual is apart of perfection."

Five minutes turned into twenty minutes and that turned into an hour, it felt like forever for Weiss before anyone actually showed up. The first person that enter the room was a strange looking girl, she seemed about Weisses height, she was wearing old fashion clothing and her hair was pink and brown. She pretty much skipped into the room and when she saw Weiss it seemed some of her energy died and then came back, the girl walk up to where Weiss was sitting and stopped in front of her. Weiss look up from writing down something and saw that the girls eyes were two different colors, the girl smiled at Weiss and Weiss raised an eyebrow. "Can I help you?" The girl thought for a moment and then made a gesture with her hand that looked like writing on paper, Weiss pulled out a pen and paper and handed it to her.

Weiss watched the girl write something down and then handed the paper back to Weiss.

"I'm Neo and sorry I can't talk." Weiss looked up to see Neo's face had turned a light-ish red and she was looking at her feet. "Well Neo it's a pleasure to meet you, I'm Weiss." but what Weiss was really thinking was. "This is why I don't want to live here, first the heroic clutz and now the ice cream colored mute."

Weiss passed the paper back to Neo and she started to write something again and passed back. "The pleasure is all mine to meet a very beautiful girl." Weiss smiled and looked up at Neo who was now blushing even harder. "Thank you, I'm a bit busy right now so I'll talk to you later. Okay?" Neo smiled wide and nodded.

More time passed by with only 20 minutes before the class starts, so Weiss decided to make sure she had everything for class... again. While she was making her checklist she had the strange feeling of someone watching her.

present time...

"Oh, hey Weiss!" said an annoyingly familiar voice. "good god." Weiss thought.

She put on her best smile and looked up at Ruby. "Hello again, so you're in this class to?" Ruby nodded energetically and then sat down in the seat next to her. Weiss watch as the other two idiots Ruby was with walk to the back of the classroom.

Weiss felt something hit her in the back off the head, she turned around and looked around and saw Neo pointing down. Weiss looked down and saw a crumpled up piece of paper, it said." Is she bothering you?" Weiss took out a pen and wrote "Not to bad, but thanks." and threw it back.

Neo opened it and frowned and then made the "Okay" hand symbol. the door opened to the classroom and a man with a cane walked in and over to the board, he wrote the name Torchwick on it. " Hello boys and girls. I am professor Torchwick and I am the biology teacher, I'm going to start roll now! please say "here" when I call your name." He started to call names and one by one and one by one you heard "hear" until it came to a boy named Jaune Ark, he repeated the name once more, waited and then continued.

The door came flying open and a blonde boy stepped in and tripped over his feet dropping all of his papers scattering them all over the floor. The teacher turned and looked at him. "Mr. Ark?" the boy nodded and started to clean up his mess, Ruby had gotten up to help him. " Once you are done please take your seats, there's an open one over by Miss Nikos." He just nodded again.

Once they were done the class continued, Professor Torchwick talked about the Biology of creatures called grimes and how they come from normal animals. Grim are similar to albinism but it causes them to have a black base also white and red markings. " Alright for the first assignment we'll have a pair of two. The person to your left is your partner. You have till next week Friday to research about grim and make a 3-dimensional sculpture and a 3 page research paper."

Weiss slightly enraged by the her new partner, who is Ruby.

"Hey, Weiss it looks like we're partners! So who's drome are we going to do this in?" Weiss turned to talk to Ruby putting her best smile on.

" Well, Ruby... You could come over to my house, we probably have lots of information about grim." She said through her clenched teeth. " We can start tomorrow, okay?"

Ruby smiled. "Okay, but where do you live?"

Weiss grabbed her bag and stood up. " There will be a limo waiting for us after school."

Later that day...

" I CAN'T BELIEVE I'M PAIRED UP WITH THAT... THAT... DOLT!" She said as she threw a book at the wall.

"Ma'am are you alright?" asked her maid

Weiss took a deep breath "yes Nancy I'm alright, I'm sorry to bother you."

" You know maybe it won't be so bad... Maybe then I won't be so lonely." Tears started to swell up in Weiss's eyes...
